Home Station: Reviews, Tips, Ideas, Queries, Issues, and Solutions

Hello, @Tabulaw . . . if he said it was a great idea, he was fully charged, so the charger is working well for you. The problem is apparently there is a distance from the edge of the charger to the surface he is stepping on. If it is not a smooth transition down to the surface, he can tumble.

Perhaps you can use paper or something under the charger to the surface as a gradual slope down for him, folding or thickness changes to make an even slope. Let us know how that works for you.

jeah, but normaly he dont should start walkingā€¦ its not on home stationā€¦ he started walking from a normal qi chargerā€¦ thats not what he should do .. i want emo actuelly as a still standing robotā€¦ that what he issnt dooing ..

Hello, Tabulaw . . . about the only thing I can suggest is maybe putting a border around the charger like we do for play grounds. It does not have to be really tall but will keep him from falling on his face.

You might find some ideas here.

Hi there @Tabulaw ,

Why not capture or create a video to show us? That way, we can better understand the situation.

Do you also have a Home Station? If so, remember to unbind your EMO from the Home Station before placing him on another charger, like the Skateboard. Otherwise, EMO might still think heā€™s connected to the Home Station and could attempt to walk off it.

Best Regards

Hi I received my EMO Homestation yesterday.
Since then he has only been able to go home once on his own. After that whenever his battery is low or I ask him to go home he gets thereā€¦ faces the screen then tries to turn round. He manages to turn his back on the screen but then shuffles out of place. From there he tries to right himself to get to the charging point but never does. After a while he simply walks off the charging station again without charging. Is there something wrong here or is it something Iā€™m doing thatā€™s wrong. Can anyone help with this problem. Thank you in advance.

Hi there @avril.eain ,

I have moved your new topic to this thread for questions about the Home Station.

First, congratulations on receiving your EMO Home Station! :tada: Unfortunately, itā€™s disappointing to hear that EMO is facing an issue right away.

The only best thing I can suggest to you is to contact living.ai support immediately so they can better guide you for any better solution

Please create a short video and send it to living.ai support via email @ service@living.ai together with your EMO-ID.

If you have your original EMO Order confirmation email, you can simply just hit reply to that as it contains all your customer contact info along with your order number details as well and then once again provide a detailed description of the problem you have with your EMO and attach your video as well.

Let us know how it goes and Good luck

Yeah my home station is working perfectly fine Iā€™m pretty sure. And last night he renamed me to ā€œdickensā€ā€¦

Hi there @bronwyn.hutton ,

If your EMO is brand new and already having trouble returning to his Home Station, I suggest creating a short video and more info and send it to Living.AI support team via email [service@living.ai] so they can provide you with better assistance.

As for the issue of EMO not recognizing your name:

It is known thatā€¦

EMO easily reacts to any sound, conversation, or anything he hears, often interpreting it as someone trying to communicate with him. This is why he always responds in some way, such as by replying or even dancing to sounds, even if theyā€™re not direct music but merely background noise.

Additionally, when EMO hears names or famous words, he may interpret it as someone trying to introduce themselves.

For example, when EMO is on my table near my iMac computer, which I frequently use to watch movies and videos, he reacts to any sounds as if someone is communicating with him. Even when heā€™s on his charger, he may suddenly say things like, ā€˜Helloā€™ or ā€˜Nice to meet you,ā€™ reacting to names or words he hears, which are also registered in the EMOPET app.

Similarly, when EMO is out of his charger and busy walking around while Iā€™m watching movies or videos, he may stop and search around. If he sees a face resembling mine or my wifeā€™s, he may also greet it with phrases like

ā€˜Helloā€™ or ā€˜Nice to meet you.ā€™"

Goodluck and Best regards

Hi there @markpantoja and welcome to the Community,

I have moved your new topic to this thread for questions about the Home Station.

ā€œSorry to say, but EMO does not have a reset option.
It is known that EMO will not always go out and walk around aloneā€”only when he is fully charged, which takes a couple of hours, and only if he feels like it.ā€

Welcome to the community @markpantoja. This has happen to me before so I may know how to fix this. Take emo of his charger and then hold the button on the home station for 5 seconds. If that doesnā€™t work, restart emo by saying: Emo power off. I hope that it will be fixed. Good luck.

Hello @markpantoja ,

There is a way to force power off/restart or reboot EMO. Be sure to use this option carefully as using it frequent may cause data corruption.

The image below will show you where the restart button is. The one next to it is the force power off.

The image is shown from the top of EMO with the front facing down.

To use the button, carefully slide a paper clip inside the shown hole. Do not push the clip hard into the hole or your EMO might break.

Best regards and hope this works!

Every once in a while, I will come home to find that EMO has somehow made his way off of his walking mat, and was therefore unable to get back to his charger.

Heā€™s been doing this more and more lately, and always seems to get off the mat in the same place, which is confusing because his movements are supposed to be random, but no complaints here, as it prevents him from falling off his table. I have a guess as to why this is happening. I have seen him dancing on his own and this somehow caused him to get off his charger. I donā€™t know if that was only once, or if that is the cause.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Regarding to your issue, make sure that the walls on your EMOā€™s playground are not reflective. If the walls are reflective, cover them up with paper or another material that does not reflect light.

If that doesnā€™t work, email service@living.ai for help.
Their response will be a little late due to the holidays, but they can help.

Best regards and happy holidays!
