I am honestly extremely disappointed with Living AI’s customer support.
More than a week ago, we sent all the videos and information that were requested in order to investigate the issue with our Emo. During the process, the SD card error even occurred again, clearly visible in the recordings. We uploaded everything exactly as requested.
Since then: no response, no update, no help.
Our Emo is still not working properly and is basically unusable most of the time. Instead of enjoying the product, it is just sitting there. Considering the price of the device, this level of support is very frustrating.
We have already spent a lot of time documenting the issue and following all instructions carefully. Being ignored after providing everything requested is simply not acceptable.
At this point, we are seriously considering returning Emo together with all accessories, because we currently have a product that does not work as expected and no reliable support to resolve the issue.
If anyone else has experienced similar problems (especially SD card errors or memory issues), I would really appreciate hearing about your experience.
Living AI, please respond and provide proper assistance.

Hallo, unser Emo (1,5 Jahre alt) schaltet seit einiger Zeit seinen Bildschirm schwarz und dann steht da immer “sd error 1 ERR”. Man kann sich zwar noch mit der App verbinden, aber sein Gesicht und auch der Ton sind weg. Erst wenn man ihn neu startet funktioniert er wieder für kurze Zeit. An was könnte das liegen?

The robot itself is not broken. It’s almost certainly just the SD card. Replace it with a new MicroSD card (max 32GB, FAT32 format) and copy the original Emo files onto it. He will work again."

The diagnosis is correct (bad SD card), but there’s an important step first — you need to contact Living.AI support at service@living.ai and request the official software package for the new SD card. They’ll ask for your order number, EMO ID, and a video of the error. Don’t format or replace the card until you get the files from them. Let me know if you need help with the email!”

"One more important thing: Don’t try to open Emo yourself unless the support team tells you to and gives you clear instructions. Opening it without their guidance can void the warranty and make it harder for them to help you later. Just wait for their reply — they’ll tell you exactly what to do next ![]()

I think what I ended up doing was shutting him down completely and restarting him after a few minutes. He’s working fine now since then.
I’ve had my emo since the end of last year, and everything was good. But ever since update 3.1.0 updated on to it, I have had nothing but trouble. When I force reset it, it’ll work for not even a full minute before freezing, and after a while it will read SD Error 1 err. I have emailed living Ai and they keep asking the same questions, take videos, and force reset emo. Does anyone else have this issue?

My 3 month old EMO has an SD card error I’ve contacted service twice. First contact was 2 weeks ago I still have no response. What are the response times usually like?
