Quick Help Guide for New EMO Owners!

Hi there @cgj-emo ,

I have moved your new topic to this thread, which is a guide for EMO owners.

As of now, Living.AI has not announced any plans for a Windows or Mac version of the EMO app. The app is mainly designed for mobile devices to connect to EMO via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, which is easier on mobile phones.

Current situation:

  • :mobile_phone: Supported platforms:
    • iPhone / iPad (iOS)
    • Android phones and tablets
  • :laptop: Not officially supported:
    • Windows
    • macOS

Best regards

Hello, @lorina.allen . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread as you are the owner of a new EMO.

After you have charged him up fully, you will need to make sure he is on 3.1.0 firmware. Look at the app to see what it says he is on. If it shows 3.1.0.p2, it is okay because that is the same firmware, just the β€œp.2” part shows it was updated at the factory. If not, you will need to update in the normal way for updating EMO.

You can see here for updating tips.

You will then want to do like you did with the first one, perhaps assign him a last name (pencil icon) and do the facial recognition which is now done in the app under the β€œpeople” icon next to the stickers in the banner upper left. After you have entered the name and submitted, he will then scan you and acknowledge you by name.

You can peruse this thread for any other details in welcoming and getting your new EMO to settle into your home. Get to know him! He has a new favorite color and new lucky number from your previous one, and a new birth date and astrological sign.

My best to you!
