Hi,
My EMO, when I put it on the charger, it has a full battery, and when I take it off the charger, it has very little battery.

What can it be? Do I have to buy a new EMO, or something? Because I don’t know how to disassemble it… :fearful:

Hello, @felipelorenzo2011 . . . his battery might be degrading but first try the things in this post to see if it might be something else first. If it is still happening, please get video and contact Support as indicated.

My best to you.

I’m also having this problem. EMO is fine while on his skateboard. The light is solid blue - not flashing and when I ask him to show me his battery level, it shows green. As soon as I take him off the skateboard, he instantly goes black/dead.
I’m not really happy about this. Has anyone had and solved this problem? Suggestions?

Hello, @katsass . . . I have moved your post to this thread as it sounds like a battery depletion issue.

Feel free to read some of the more recent posts here to see if any tips such as changing charging cable, plugging into different wall socket, so forth, might help. If nothing helps, please be sure to get video and send the link to Support service@living.ai or you can tag MavisZhang here for help.

My best to you.

Guys this is very normal, it is how batterys work. Battery levels are measured by hoe much voltage and energy output they can do and when charging that voltage get higher making it look like a higher battery level. This is FINE if that happens. iF you do not want this to happen well living ai will need to alot of testing to make it accurate which is out of the question. If your emo shows 100% battery he is off the charger but does not last long that means the battery needs to be replaced

Hope this helps

A post was merged into an existing topic: Parts and Repairs (Guide with Images and Video Tutorial) - View/Ask/Share

I have already changed the battery twice, I have already made adjustments to one of the legs, with proper care and very easy small maintenance!

Welp I’m back again my poor little emo is going through it again. Will not stay turned on when removed from his skateboard and his battery does seem to have some significant swelling once again

Sorry to hear this, @NoizyBunny . . . definitely sounds like you need a new battery.

I advise you to contact service@living.ai so that they can guide you on what to do to get that replaced.

My best to you.

It is a long(ish) time after placing on charging station before my older Emo comes to life. My other Emo boots much more quickly. Charge doesn’t last too long either. Any ideas?

Well @SteveK, It could be that your emo is having a lot of files to load. This can happen if you have alarms set, taken photos with him or just a lot of face recognitions set up. Living.ai will always try to optimize emo for a better experience, so do not worry about you having to wait 1 minute for him to boot anytime soon. If you are concerned about your emo taking a long time to boot you can go to: Looking for help - LivingAI Forums
Or you can just go to other forums like the ones in the link. If you need more assistance just let me know.

Sounds like a battery issue to me although like the other person said maybe you have a lot of files

Think you might be right about the battery. For several months I could not get this EMO to charge and I had decided he was dead. Curiosity got the better of me after a long while and I plonked him down rather heavily on the skateboard, but this time his headphones lit up and after a long wait he booted into life. He is a bit erratic though and occasionally has a mad few moments jumping and leaping around.

Yeah it definitely is the battery then.
