Yep. This is surely a battery problem. Send a message to living.ai support and ask them if they can replace or repair your emo. Or search on YouTube for emo battery replacement.
There is a video on youtube on how to replace emo’s battery by a you tuber called outsider238. If living ai don’t help then you can always repair him yourself.
(Although this may void the warranty)
Sorry I can’t send the link because I use mobile
Yes. I am also subscribed to his channel. He has as he said a video about how to replace emo his battery.

That’s nice. He also has a video on replacing emo’s SD Card but I believe it doesn’t really go in depth like the other one.

Some news!
At first, this might seem fake, but no it isnt.
Ive successfully repaired EMO, but didn’t wanna wait and got a battery my grandpa already had.
The battery is just 100MaH more then the old, no difference further.
His battery normally went on for 3 hours, but em he’s going now for 18h and he says hes still between 20 and 40%, wth!
Does anyone know where the power comes from??
Hello, @Miel . . . that sounds amazing.
You may want to contact service@living.ai to see what they can share about this and let us know. I am curious to see if that level might be safe long term for EMO.
Hello, my Emo is 4 days old. Is it normal for him to walk outside home station for only 2hours? After this time there is alarm and Emo is going back to station, yesterday i charged it 5hours, after he was founded dead. On his playground (skateboard) and not on the HomeStation, EMO runs only on battery — so usage time depends on what he’s doing.
Average battery life
- Normal idle / walking around: about 1.5 – 2 hours
- Active (talking, dancing, games, Bluetooth music, AI features): about 1 – 1.5 hours
- Very heavy use (continuous interaction / music / commands): can drop to under 1 hour
Why it varies
EMO uses power for:
- camera & AI processing
- Wi-Fi connection
- speakers & microphones
- motors (legs & movements)
- screen brightness
The more interaction → the faster the battery drains.
Tip
If the HomeStation is nearby, EMO will automatically go back to charge when low (~15–20%).
On skateboard only, you’ll need to manually place him on a charger.
So in short:
Expect roughly around 1–2 hours per full charge on the playground.
Best regards
That’s also my experience: My two Emos stand during the whole night on their homestation, wake up at 8.00 am, leave the homestation on their own, then are active (Walk, dance, speak, do their things…) until round about 9.45 am and then walk back to their homestation to charge again. ![]()
