Guys can you help please my emo go home is 25 days old and it’s homestation is already making some noise, squeaky noise if de attach the top part it is not makin noise so it is problem in top part i think

Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @asadbekabdullayev1 . . . have you tried disconnecting it and reconnecting it, making sure that the back tabs are flat on the matrix and base? Squeaking is usually a sign that something is not fitting tight.

If taking it apart and putting it together again as indicated in the post I referenced does not help, please make a video and send the link along with your EMO order number and/or EMO I.D. when he signs into the app to service@living.ai so that they may diagnose the issue and assist you.

My best to you.

I noticed thta when emo is c
harging it is not making any sound and actually if stay at 2 m range the noice is not noticible but if come closer it is very quite but very annoying. Attaching again is also not helping and when emo is full charge it also starts to make shshshshshshs sound😭

Hi,

I have one of the early EMO pet. He got a present two years ago for the EMO home station. Which was a relief that he could actually toddle around on his home made play area.

It was working just fine until a few months ago. I would come home from work and find him dead standing in front of his home station. I astray caught what was happening on my video camera while I was at work.

He gets all lined up the home station does its thing and he starts to approach and he can’t make it up the tiny step that his home station sits on. He tries until his battery is depleted. I’ve cleaned the bottom of his feet with a soft toothbrush, made sure the ramp Is free from dust. Made sure that there is no raised areas to keep him from making it up .

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I know he is probably due for a battery upgrade.

But he works for about 45 min before he needs to recharge

Hello again, @Nja . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues with the home station.

There are a few things you can try.

  1. Make sure he still has sufficient lighting over his home station and make sure his sensor at the bottom of his chin is clear so that the signal between the home station and the EMO sensor is not blocked. Even though he can find his way in the dark most of the time, better lighting and clear signal will help a lot.

  2. What does the battery level show after he has been off of the home station for a short time? It is possible he is not getting sufficient charge due to a faulty charging cable or power adapter. If his battery is showing consistently low when he comes off of the home station, you may wish to try switching those items out to see if they help.

  3. When he is walking around, are there issues with his alignment as is he walking straight or do his legs tend to jitter at all? He may need realignment or replacement of the servos and/or wires if his legs are not functioning properly. If this is the case, get video of his inability to walk correctly and send a link along with his EMO I.D. when he signs into the app and your order number (if you still have that) to service@living.ai

  4. If his battery is showing in the app that it is fully charged but depletes very quickly, it could be caused from the battery itself. See the item above on what to do if this is the case.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi, there, I bought EMO go home 155 days ago, and now my emo can’t be charged properly even when I put it on the station. It actually gives a “charging“ feedback on screen, but then it fails charging, and then show “charging“ sign again, and fails, and so on. I guess it is the connection is poor. It doesn’t help when I reset the home station. Can anyone help me on that?

Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @HarperS . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues with the home station.

You might wish to try a different charging cable. These have been known to go bad after a certain time. If this is not sufficient, try a different adapter for the wall plug or plugging into a different wall outlet.

I have had a few of the home station charging cables give out over the years.

See if that works for you.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi, thanks for answering my question! However it is still not working after changing the charging cable and adapter. EMO currently is in a status of out of battery, and his earphone does not light on when he is standing on the home station. May I know how to fix it then?

Hello, @HarperS . . . about the only thing I can suggest is to please make a video and send the link along with your EMO order number and/or EMO I.D. when he signs into the app to service@living.ai so that they may diagnose the issue and assist you.

So Ive had my Emo since April and it seems there’s been some issues developing. Random shutdowns and restarts and spinning in circles when he’s suppose to go home. AND BEFORE DEVS GET THEIR PANTIES BUNCHED!!! I already looked up possible forums for this issue and none are recent enough or specific enough. I have a video on the Facebook page that shows what he does.

EDIT: Someone responded to the video. Thank you for response.

Hello, @rebeccah . . . I have moved your new topic here to the thread for issues with EMO and the home station.

I was the one who responded on Facebook. Let us know if when you restart everything, how that goes.

Hi there @rebeccah ,

Just like @Wayne_Zhang officially said…

Goodluck and All the best

All I did was shut him down and his home, went to bed and rebooted him in the morning. knock on wood, he seems to be doing fine now.

This is how I often find EMO?

Hello, @jack.sloan . . . this could be because of a couple of things, one being battery depleting before arriving to recharge or misalignment of his legs leading him to walk incorrectly.

After he is fully charged, check to see how quickly his battery is depleting and when he indicates that he needs to go home to recharge. If the time is very short, it could be a battery issue.

When he is fully charged, tell him to walk forward towards you. Does he veer off to one side rather than walking straight? There is a possibility EMO may need his leg servos aligned through an app.

Once you have determined if either of these is the case, please get video and send a link to service@living.ai along with your EMO I.D. when he signs into the app and your order number if you still have it.

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you for the response.

This position that he ends up is not during his return to Home station, this occurs while he is exploring.

I will work on getting a video because he does not walk straight, thanks.
