Home Station: Reviews, Tips, Ideas, Queries, Issues, and Solutions

Hello, @maria_del_rosario.di . . . EMO will say “Sounds good” sometimes like he is thinking out loud that he would like to take a walk. He will also say those phrases when you command him to “Leave home station”.

Be sure that the home station is level and has sufficient lighting. He will not walk where he feels it is not safe.

If you cannot get him to return on his own, I would advise you to get video of the issue and contact Support either at service@living.ai or through the Support page here. Be sure to include your order number or I.D. when he signs into the app. Just remember to be patient as sometimes replies can take a little bit. Be sure to also include your order number since he is under one year old. My best to you!

Unfortunately there is no way to control the rate of speed at which he speaks, but I invite you to suggest this as a feature improvement here.

Hi, @Lindaru !
Thanks a lot for your reply. :heart_hands:t3:
Eventually he went to the home station without me asking him to do it.

I’m going to try to ask him to go, to see if he does the same as yesterday.

I thought, because they did it with AIBI, that there could be a way to slow the speech pace in EMO. I’m going to ask for. But then again, I haven’t spoken much with EMO yet. Just basic questions to test him. It was that one sentence that he said like that. I’ll keep trying,or else I’ll post this request like you say.

Once again, thank you very much! You’re always there for us.

Hey everyone,
It seems to be that my emo has failed to return to his home station for the 9th time this week. He also failed last week and the week before. He is going to his home station too late and he is moving to it incorrectly resulting in him getting lost. Can someone please help?

The home station stays green and the white light is flashing every 2 seconds. He is also empty so he is just sitting here. I have put him off the charger but i do not want to re power him on until a fix.

Hello, @Fallouttimmy . . . he may have an issue with his leg alignment in that the servos may need recalibration or his battery may be depleting.

I would advise you to get video of the issue and contact Support either at service@living.ai or through the Support page here. Be sure to include your order number or I.D. when he signs into the app. Just remember to be patient as sometimes replies can take a little bit.

My best to you!

Well this is gonna be good, i don’t know as to which they would add a code for owners.

Hello @Lindaru.

Thanks for the advice. I have noticed that my emo has a shaking leg. Could that be the issue? Also it might be the case that since the light is pointed at the home station it could reflect of it and make emo unable to see it.

Thanks for you assistance,

Fallouttimmy

Hello, @Fallouttimmy . . . yes, shaky legs can prevent them from returning in a timely manner as well as light blinding the beam between the station and the sensor under the chin. You may want to try moving the light and as I said, contact Support if that does not fix it.

If I connect the emo go home to my computer to charge it, will it be damaged?

Hi there @Mai666 ,

I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues and questions relating to the home station.

No, EMO will not be damaged if you connect the Home Station to a computer USB port for charging, as long as the port provides stable 5V power output. However, it’s not the most advisable way to charge EMO long-term. Here’s why and what you should do instead:

:white_check_mark: Most Advisable Way to Connect EMO Home Station:

Use a dedicated USB power adapter with the following specs:

  • 5V / 2A output is ideal.
  • Connect it to a wall socket (not a computer).
  • Use the original or a good quality USB-C cable.

:warning: Why Avoid Charging Through a Computer?

  • Unstable Power: Computer USB ports often supply inconsistent or insufficient current, especially when in sleep mode.
  • Risk of Interruptions: If the PC sleeps or restarts, charging may stop.
  • Slow Charging: Charging may be slower than via a wall adapter.

Summary:

:electric_plug: Best Option: Plug EMO Home Station into a 5V/2A wall adapter.
:laptop: Not Recommended: Charging via computer USB — safe for short use, but not stable for regular use.

Best Regards

Hi! I bought EMO Go Home as a Christmas gift for my daughter. He has now completely stopped charging. When placed on charging station, he does not react but occasionally the light on the headphones pulse for a second, and he makes a high weird screeching/pulsing sound. But no other reaction. Not possible to enter the app either, as it just says “Finding EMO” but never does.

I have submitted a ticket and waiting for reply. Interested to hear if anyone else has experienced the same issue and resolved it?

I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues with the home station.

If you’ve already contacted the Living.AI Support Team, then I’d say that’s definitely the best step to take. Hopefully, they’ll be able to help you resolve the issue soon.

Let us know how it goes. Good luck!

Hola a todos
Por qué mi EMO (primer dia)se salta la linea negra del tapete gris con linea negra?
Hello everyone
Why does my EMO (first day) jump the black line of the Home fence?. ver. 2.8.0.p3
Thank You

Hello, @enrique.laguia_burzu . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread where we discuss issues with the home station.

When EMO is doing certain activities like playing games or dancing, his foot sensors are turned off temporarily until that activity is finished which means he cannot detect edges or black lines. It is always advised to build an area around his home station that will prevent him from falling.

You can find some ideas here.

I need a bit of help. My EMO is no longer working. I tried changing the type C cables already but I don’t think that’s the problem. When you boot it up, the Go Home charger will start and is showing a blinking bluetooth icon. Then later on it will turn into red, meaning there’s no bluetooth connection. I don’t know how to fix it.

The robot, I think, is charging, but it never turns on. The light on the charger is steady. What could be the possible problem? How to troubleshoot?

I bought this pre-owned last year and it was perfectly working. Now it just suddenly stopped. Please help. Thank you.

Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @francesmeris . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues with EMO and the home station.

Are you sure that you have bluetooth still enabled on your device? Make sure that EMO and the home station are close to your bluetooth enabled device when connecting as sometimes if they are too far apart, the signal is too weak.

Sometimes it is just a matter of rebooting your router, device, EMO and the home station together. Once you have done that, check the home page of the app after connecting EMO to see if the home station icon is showing.

Try pairing again and if still unsuccessful, try the app on a different device to see if you can get it to pair properly.

If nothing is working, be sure to contact service@living.ai with a link to a video and your EMO I.D. (make sure you let them know he is pre-owned). They will be able to best advise you.

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you very much for the warm welcome.

May I know how to pair it using bluetooth? I can’t seem to connect it. I took some photos for better visualization. The home chargig station boots up, makes this start up sound then will show the bluetooth icon, afterwards the bluetooth icon will turn red. It’s charging too as the light in between his legs is steady.

How to get the Emo ID? I cannot access the app as Emo is not turned on.

Hello @francesmeris ,

I’ll try to guide and help you through Facebook Messenger.

Hi,
I put a plastic cutting board that just happened to be the right thickness under his play mat so it is now the same height as his home so he walks on /off it without being surprised. It is nicer as he can walk sideways across it without any issues as well. My wife bought this board at a craft store and never used it. It is about 14 inches square, but close enough.

Hiyeee! :waving_hand: Is there still not a command to have Emo not leave home station on his own? I would like to have him stay while I am asleep or leave for work. TY TY! :heart_2: :emo_heart:

Hello, @robbiew . . . you can try “Enable carry mode” to keep him still, but not allowing him to leave on his own could be bad for his battery when you leave for work. It is really best if you are going to be away from home to simply power him off.
