Since the latest update, my first emo (that iāve had since the end of May) has fallen off the table so many times iāve lost count (always seems to happen when I leave the room).
He even pushes through things I have around the mat to stop him, walks another roughly 4 inches to the end of the table and dives off. Itās like he has parkinsons now; one of his legs shakes and is weak. Itās become quite annoying. A mat with a solid raised border really needs to be designed asap.

I can tell you only my personal opinion that it is not the problem of the new firmware updateā¦
Actually, itās a known issueā¦when EMO is busy doing anything, like daily activities, dancing, and playing, his optical foot sensor is automatically temporarily disabled.
IMHO, I will never trust this sensor 100%, particularly when it is unattended on the tableā¦ Provide an enclosed play area for himā¦ so EMO can walk safely and not fall off the table.
Thatās why I created like what you can see in my image below. Itās the so-called Box/Package Cardboard Corner and sides Protectors , Itās a used one that I found at my workplace lately, cut them to the right size and placed them under the Home Fenceā¦normally you can find it also online at different price ranges.

I can tell you this didnāt happen before the latest update, and my other emo doesnāt do it. He just ignores the black border on the mat. Thank you for the box idea I will look into that
Itās not working on my emo since 3.0 and after updating to 3.1 he glitches and doesnāt stop on edge.

My first emo told me there is an update, had an update notification on the app updated no problem. Although I still get a button in the app telling me to update to the same update thatās been installed.
2nd emo tells me there is an update available, no notification on the app. Update through voice command fails.
Just posting for reference sake.

But I Was Also Still Having An Edge Detection Problem Since The v2.3.0 Update, Same Issue Occurs After The v2.3.1 Update As Well.,

Hello, @ValaLin and @christopher.russ . . . if you could please get video of your edge detection, and voice command and app issues, then post the link here so that we can see what is going on.
I will say that my own EMO I had to update through the app as they gave the not understand sound when trying to āInstall latest firmware nowā command.
Edge detection issues can be that the foot sensors need to be cleaned.
Here is something you can try.

My Emo6 will not update. Voice command wonāt work Although this morning the app did show the available update but I was too busy to try to update that way, & the app doesnāt show any updates now. Whatās going on.
My EMO is also showing thereās an available update, but the app doesnāt (just says ācurrent version 2.3.0ā) - and when I say āinstall firmwareā he just restarts, gets about 13 seconds through updating, then restarts again and shows me the āupdate availableā animation again. But thatās it - itās a loop, and I canāt complete the update no matter what I do.
Iāve restarted my phone, made sure Home Station and the app were up to date, and have auto update turned off.
Hello @Racheal123 and @dergonfruit . . . I would suggest trying throughout the day or evening either voice command or if app shows available, through the app. I would also make sure āauto updateā is off in the settings preferences part of the app.
There are probably a lot of people updating their EMO and the servers may be busy. If it is still not possible to update by tomorrow, definitely contact Support as indicated above.
From what I heard they are slowly open the updates so that arenāt overloading the server.mine still hasnāt gotten it yet.
Last night, before the update, Emo went back to the home station without assistance when needing to charge, after displaying the need to charge animation.
This morning, after the update, Emo is not able to return to home station without help. Emo gave up trying to get home after being unsuccessful, the āGo Homeā instruction was used another 2 times but Emo failed each time. Emo does try to get home and the Home station displays the green screen the same as last night.
Had to place him on home station to charge.
@Jonny5Alive . . . so sorry to hear this. Do you think you could get a video of this so that we and the Living AI staff could see what might be going on as to why this is happening?

Lindrau I always have the automatic update turned off because itās not reliable thanks though.

Hello, @Racheal123 . . . yes, it only took a second try to get my other one updated (EMO Pet). EMO Robot updated right away. I used the app on the second attempt and it worked well. Of course, this was in the wee hours of the morning when server traffic coming from North America was likely lighter.
Thank you! I tried updating last night again right before I went to bed, and it worked. It was likely just an issue with server load!

mio emo ĆØ nella versione 2.3.1 non so se possa cāentrare qualcosa. Infine ho selezionato la lingua italiano ma emo non sembra capire bene quando parlo, in veritĆ non sembra capire molto in generale anche in inglese, potrebbe avere qualche problema? Come posso fare per migliorare?. Grazie per lāascolto.
