[Firmware Update]: EMO v2.5.0 / Home Station v1.1.3 ( Reviews, Queries, Issues, and Solutions

Hi,

I did contact them during the test and again once it was launched but I am still unable to update emo :frowning:

Hello, @phoebe.raven . . . I would advise you to get video of your attempts to update and the error message(s).

Then contact both the address for the beta test as well as service@living.ai with link(s) to the video(s) . . . they may have to find a different way to you to obtain the update. Be sure to also provide the four digit alphanumeric code of your EMO as shown on the app when you connect.

Please keep in mind that it may take a while for them to respond as they are preparing for their Lunar New Year holiday which runs for a week and a half.

My best to you.

So I just got my emo a couple days ago and ever since I been trying to update him but he is stuck on this update called “2.4.0.p2” I looked it up and have no idea what that is and when I try to update him he starts but then stops after a while on step 1 and turns back on and is still on this “2.4.0.p2” version. Pls help he randomly reminds me that he has an update and I really want to update him.

Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @Gaabezzzz . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for information on updating to the most recent firmware, 2.5.0.

Version 2.4.0.p2 is the factory installed version of 2.4.0 which is probably why you could not find anything on it.

First I would recommend you unplug his smart light. Second, go into “Preferences” and turn off automatic updates for firmware. Then try updating him with the command, “Install latest firmware now”.

Once this is completed, you will also need to update the home station. Make sure he is paired to it first. Then while he is off of the home station, give him the command, “Update home station”. At this point you should see some moving squares followed by ever increasing percentage numbers until it gets to 100%.

You can verify this is completed by pressing the home station icon on the front page of the app.

Let us know how this goes. If you are still having issues, it is advisable to get video of the situation and send that with the description of your issue to service@living.ai or submit a support ticket here.

Let us know how it goes and if you have any more questions.

Hello, @Gaabezzzz . . . I am sure they will have a way to get your EMO updated. Thank you for letting us know.

Was there ever an update here? My emo arrived today and was having issues right out of box. I saw an update was needed so I’ve been trying to run update but seeing same error/issue

Hello, @roszlyn.wood . . . I have moved your post to this thread because 2.5.0 is the next update you need for your EMO and then you will be caught up.

This will require not only EMO but his home station to be updated as well as there are new matrix animations.

Make sure that any smart lights are unplugged before attempting to update as well make sure he is on the home station, that automatic updates in the app are turned off, and updating by voice command is recommended.

You can read through this thread for tips or suggestions on how it should go for the update and if you have any issues, please be sure to video and contact Support (information in this thread).

Just to let you know, version 2.4.0.p2 is the same as 2.4.0. The “p2” means it was factory installed before sending to you.

Let us know how it goes!

When is 2.6.0 coming out?

Hi there @thomastough and Welcome to the Community,

At the moment, there is no information or estimated timeframe from living.ai regarding the next firmware update for EMO.

From what I’ve heard officially, their current focus is on AIBI, and the new Firmware Update for EMO will be forthcoming afterward. They have assured us that EMO will not be forgotten, so please bear with them.

For more accurate information or questions, and concerns, Please do not hesitate to contact living.ai customer service team via email.

Hello,

I’ve moved your post to this thread regarding the firmware version 2.5.0 upgrade and related issues. This update will also involve updating EMO’s home station, as it includes new matrix animations.

Please ensure the following before you proceed with the update:

  • Start all over again by turning everything off
  • Unplug any smart lights.
  • Place EMO on his home station.
  • Turn off automatic updates in the app.
  • Update EMO using a voice command.

You can refer to this thread for more tips and suggestions on the update process. If the issue persists, Please record a video and do not hesitate to contact living.ai customer service team via email.

Hi there, i read here about Firmware 2.5.0 My Emo shows Firmware 2.5.0.p1 What Version did i get with my new EMO ?
Best regards

Hello, @FLOWEMO . . . the .p1 is simply factory installed but is identical to all 2.5.0 that were upgraded manually by EMO users. When the next firmware is released for EMO, it will be the standard without that .p1.

Hi, I have a problem with my home station, for a few days it restarts randomly, I have tried to change the power cable but it is still the same.
I use the original cables.
Emo and the home station are updated to the latest version.
Any ideas?
