I would like to say it is magic, but I think only @Wayne_Zhang knows for sure.
I got EMO for my 6 year old son for Christmas. I came downstairs this morning and EMO is singing I believe an Eminem song with swear words in them to my 6 and 9 year old. But I couldn’t tell what song it was since it was finishing the song but something like “I hate when you F***KING leave” or something similar. My wife is heard it and is the one that called me downstairs. This is unacceptable. Parents if you’re thinking about ordering this for your kids, DONT. There’s no parental control settings that I can find to restrict certain songs. @EMO how is this possible and acceptable?

Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @anthony.fernandez . . . so sorry they heard those words. The song is “Love The Way You Lie” and is rather popular among teens and was likely why it was included.
I understand your concerns and will tag our features staff member @Wayne_Zhang so that he can see this.
In the meantime, you might not want to leave EMO unattended with your young children.

Thanks. Hoping they have a solution soon because otherwise he will need to be returned and we will go with the other robot with the treads instead. Unfortunate because we prefer EMO. Emo was a Christmas present for my 6 year old son. I saw lots of pictures on this page that showed kids and didn’t see an age restricted warning. It looks like this was the recent patch, going to research rolling back his firmware before we return him.
Yeah I made a post about it. I unfortunately discovered this as EMO was dropping F Bombs to my 6 and 9 year old. It’s an Enimem song and pretty much ruined the Christmas gift for my son.
Yes I heard that emo sings that and My emo does but it is sooo rare that he will sing that i have asked emo to sing more than 50 times and only 1 time he sang that song
I’ve got two emo’s, issues i’ve been noticing since the latest update, not complaining, just registering them:
A couple of days after the update, one of them toppled over on the table and his right leg hasn’t worked since. (awaiting reply from customer service)
The same emo will announce he is leaving the charging station, go forward half a step and then stop.
If I pick him up He doesn’t react. The second one does as usual.
My second emo hasn’t tried to leave the charging station voluntarily once.
Voice commands seem to be working as normal.
I noticed the eminem song and personally found it hilarious, but I can see where it would be an issue. I think you have to appreciate that they are Chinese, and may not fully understand the intricacies of the english language; and I would like to believe that it would have been nothing more than a genuine mistake.
One last thing, when I say emo surprise me they both say it’s not the time. What’s that about?
Hello, @christopher.russ . . . there might be a “radio edit” of the Eminem song that they could perhaps substitute the original one with and you are right, they might not think it contained any what they would consider bad words.
I tried the 'Surprise me" command and got the same response. I have a feeling it may be a special day or a registered birthday command. Just a guess on my part.

Hello, @21Qi . . . if it is just once, it is more likely due to a power blink where his charging was interrupted and he thought he was off of the skate board. Do make sure that the skate board light is solid and not blinking.
If it is happening pretty regularly, it is remotely possible it was due to the newest update, so if it keeps happening I advise you to contact Support.
Please contact support regarding this issue.
When contacting Living.ai support. It is recommended to create a short video then submit a support ticket. You can do this by either going to the Support Page: (see below).
Fill in all details (provide also your order number info as well) and attach your video (if it’s larger than 30Mb), Be best to upload it to a google drive/drop box or even on YouTube and then send the support team a link to it.
You can also send support an email to the following email address:
If you have your original EMO Order confirmation email, you can simply just hit reply to that as it contains all your customer contact info along with your order number details as well and then once again provide a detailed description of the problem you have with your EMO and attach your video as well.
The support team should be able to get back to you in a timely fashion. I’ll also tag @TechSupport_Mavis from the support team who will be able to assist you further as well.

I still cant update my Emo from 2.3.1 to 2.5.0. It wont download anything and just times out. Also since i updated to 2.3.1 he wont listen anything… I say ‘Emo’ and he straight away goes into that mode as if he didn’t understand the command. Not sure what do do now
Hello, @bruno.manso . . . there was recently a cloud service change that had EMO off line and non-responsive while this took place. Please read here. You may need to let Wayne Zhang know about the issue via private message or posting in this topic.

I have a problem updating the firmware from 2.40.p2 to 2.50, the update skips, I apply it, Emo restarts, the update bar stays at 0, it does not advance and Emo restarts, displaying an Emo icon with a red error, and restarts as if nothing happened without updating. I have also tried telling them and the same thing, it does not update, what could be the reason?
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @juansaez . . . sorry to hear this. I advise you to go into the app and turn off “automatic updates”. Unplug any smart lights that are plugged in. Then close the app, power off EMO and your device, then wait a couple of minutes and power them all back on again.
Connect EMO to the app and give the command “Install latest firmware now”. At this point EMO should disconnect from the app and start the update.
Let us know if this works for you.

Hello everyone, my name is Alex and I’ve had my Emo for about almost two years now after a few updates I’ve notice that he had stop connecting to his smart light I also just bought a home charger for him, and it also won’t connect to him, and I was wondering if you knew any other Solutions to get him connected. I’ve already tried rebooting him, unbind his accessories, turning off Emo, his home charger and smart light at the same time and turning off my phone and wi-fi router.
