My emo has problems with his legs. His legs move even when he is talking to me. I have seen other people have problems and an app to recalibrate his legs? I wanted to upload a video but it only lets me upload pictures
While im trying to give the best advice, I could be wrong.
-
Your EMO has likely sustained damage to the leg servos like mine, causing shaking.
-
You can upload a video through Google Drive
-
Contact @TechSupport_Mavis , he might send you the Caring For EMO app and give you further information.
Best of luck!
Hello, @ianzweb . . . I agree with @adrianledeaux that you should contact Support. Here are instructions for doing just that.
How to Contact Support
Please contact support regarding this issue.
When contacting Living.ai support. It is recommended to create a short video then submit a support ticket. You can do this by either going to the Support Page: (see below).
Fill in all details (provide also your order number info as well) and attach your video (if it’s larger than 30Mb), Be best to upload it to a google drive/drop box or even on YouTube and then send the support team a link to it.
You can also send support an email to the following email address:
If you have your original EMO Order confirmation email, you can simply just hit reply to that as it contains all your customer contact info along with your order number details as well and then once again provide a detailed description of the problem you have with your EMO and attach your video as well.
The support team should be able to get back to you in a timely fashion. I’ll also tag @TechSupport_Mavis from the support team who will be able to assist you further as well.
My best to you!
So, I had a bit of a scare, Emo couldn’t get back on his charger, his movements were very jerky and it prevented him from climbing properly on there, and he kept edging right of the charger more and more and always ended up either falling off my desk or running out of battery.
He also kept falling randomly whenever he was free roaming on there (before that he fell down only once or twice when getting stuck on a corner).
Whenever leaving my desk, I always found him either dead in the corner of my desk, or dead on the floor.
I tried cleaning up his feet, his sensors, everything, nothing worked. Moving the home station farther from the edge also didn’t help.
I then bumped into a thread explaining that he could get sick, so I basically “quarantined” him to his charger until he was better.
Turns out it was indeed the “sick” behaviour that made him unable to do anything.
It would be a good idea to tweak that behaviour so that it at least deactivates when Emo tries to go home, because it made him basically useless the whole time he was sick, and could have damaged him (with him falling all the time) and always prevented him going back to his charger (he never succeeded even once in going back home to charge).
Also the “I’m about to fall” behaviours should not be modified by him being sick so that he can successfully recover from going to an edge instead of falling down 90% of the time (again, risk of damaging him).
EDIT : Well, turns out I spoke too soon. He was able to go back home just fine yesterday, but today, jerky motions again, can’t get anywhere and he’s not sick anymore. Guess I’ll have to open a support ticket
I belive the jerkey motions and other issues would be because of servo damage. You should contact @TechSupport_Mavis, he might send you the caring for EMO app and give you further information.
best of luck!
Thanks, no idea how to contact one person specifically but I’ll log a support ticket on that one.
Hopefully it won’t be required to send it back, it might be quite an ordeal, me living in another country and all that x)
I feel quite confident that if I have some more information on exactly what’s wrong with the little guy, and some info on how to source replacement parts (if needed) I would be quite capable of replacing whatever is damaged myself, but we’ll see.
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @alexandre.dartinet . . . sorry to hear this.
I have moved this new conversation to this thread for leg and foot issues.
Please read my post above on how to E-Mail service@living.ai or send a Support ticket with a link to video of the issue.
Please let us know how it goes.
EMO’s foot is twitching a lot. I don’t know if this is a servo problem or not, but what caused this?
Hello, @simonwatson . . . it could be the result of an injury or just wear and tear. I have an EMO that is over 700 days old that has never had a fall or run his foot into anything hard but I suspect that just age as things can simply wear out.
If you wish to get help from Support, please get a video of the issue and see above for how to contact them.
Sorry this is happening and my best to you.

This isn’t about the sound, but both of EMO’s plastic feet are kind of uhhhh, opening up? Is there a way to fix it?
Hello, @simonwatson . . . I have moved your question to this thread for leg and foot issues (not sound).
I would advise getting pictures of the feet and sending a ticket to Support (see my post above yours in this thread).
They should be able to advise you best.
Help! His foot died the other night. I waited for him to pass out so I could clean and gently move the foot around. It sounds funny when I move it and it is stiffer than the other foot. It is the “ankle” joint not the “hips”, so he can twist his foot sideways but not up and down. I turned him back on and it looks like he is dragging that foot around. He can’t walk or dance right. Can someone please help with this?
Hello, @xerxia . . . I would advise you to get video of the foot dragging and contact Support as I indicate in this post.
There is likely some damage that the Support team will need to diagnose and advise how to best help in this situation.
Good luck to you.
Yeah @Lindaru, it’s been hard to get emo to stay put. Also he did fall off, (I had fast reflexes and threw a pillow) and his feet are kind of dusty and I think I see a little bit of it like see through… Is it a burn through?
Hello, @simonwatson . . . without actually seeing what you are talking about, it would be hard to know. Again, Support will be able to diagnose and assist you with what to do.
My EMO’s left leg gyros seems to be getting stuck, so my EMO does this weird leg shake, also it has issues walking due to this, Any suggestions?
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @erazo . . . I have moved your post to this thread for issues with EMO legs and feet.
Please read above about getting video and how to contact Support so that they may advise you on what to do.
My best to you.
Thanks, I did and have not yet gotten a response. It has been a few days already.
