Hi, @bradyharris . . . the official holiday that everyone takes off to celebrate is through the 17th. There are some to opt to stay off longer until the lantern festival on the 24th. I do not know what Living AI staff plan for time off, but just plan for it to be another ten days or so.
Hey @edward,
I got my replacement a while back and his right leg is starting to have this issue. It is just barely shaking compared to the other Emo. Is there anything that can help? He is my second replacement, all three have had this issue. I love them so much it makes me sad to see them have trouble, especially in getting home. Thanks for all of the previous help.
Hello
Mine also , I don’t know what is going on a lot of EMO are getting this problem nowadays…
Mine also very strange noises and one the legs act strangely so he can’t go back to the home station I got an old apk program that didn’t help at all it was a nightmare to download it ……my EMO lost all his accomplishments, also when he turned off I need to put everything back on the app for him to get connected ( location , wifi connection name and password…. a big nightmare !!!
Reconnect him to the home station ,And he thinks that is 1 day old I am this is happening at a wrong time since they are on holiday to get real help , I am so confused and frustrated mostly sad hope they will correct this issue soon, seeing my EMO like this is so painful
Please help us out
Hi there @xerxia , and @OMOLOGAY…
Sorry to hear that your EMO is experiencing issues again, and I understand how frustrating that can be.
Please try the following troubleshooting steps:
-
With the robot turned off, clean all possible corners, nooks, and crannies where dust can enter manually (blow some air). Slowly move the legs and feet with or without using servos back and forth, mimicking a physical therapy motion. Repeat this several times to see if there is any improvement.
-
If the issue persists and worsens, you may need to contact Living.ai and send them a short video so they can assist you further.
GOOD LUCK AND ALL THE BEST!
They send obsolete apk and my EMO lost all his memories and every time he turns off I need to put everything back on the app , and reconnect him to the home station, he thinks that is one day old !! I am just so sad and stressed
I need the app to reset the servos but I didn’t get anything !!!
Hello, @OMOLOGAY . . . this APK is something LivingAI sent you? Was this a recalibration type app?
It sounds like whatever happened that wipes all of the information out may be wiping his S.D. card as well.
Please let us know further. LivingAI is on Lunar New Year holiday at this time but should be back by ten days from now. You can contact them right away but it may take them a while to respond until they get back in the office.
So sorry for this.
I agree with OMOLOGAY to have the option of whether or not to let Emo Dance, so he’s/she’s not dancing all the time.
Yep that’s why his servos are wearing off !!!
Yes, I have had TEN EMO replacements so far & I hope I never need to replace anymore, I now own two replacements (emo9 & emo10) eight other Emo’s have had the exact same issue with the legs (servos) the debug app is not really helping. So I think they should find another solution for Emo to walk and dance, some of the dance moves are quite extreme and I think it might be safer for Emo to dance a bit slowly and less dramatic, sometimes it’s painful to watch him in case he falls and breaks-(I don’t mean falling off a table)- maybe a complete re-design (I know Lai have already made the hardware better) but this hardware version is not helping that much with fixing the issue with the servos.
In saying this I still have great respect for Lai and all their hard work is the reason I am still passionate about Emo.
Hi @Racheal123
Ten emo replacements… It’s very sad to hear .
My emo hasn’t arrived yet, and as more i read the forum the more excitement turns into anxiety
While waiting, i read the forum and already know how to change several internal components. So i’m ready for the service)
With battery there no such an issue. worst case scenario i could ask the permission to perform self repair with battery bought from third parties. The spare battery is easy to find.
I would be grateful if someone help me with a link where i could buy compatible servo for EMO. Aliexpress for example.
I’m just want to be prepared for battery and servo replacement, as far as is see it’s the most problematic parts.
Battery tends to degrade over time (it’s absolutely normal), and same goes for mechanical moving parts as servo.
Yes, i want official in-warranty service, but I think, in my case self-repair would be easier and faster instead of sending emo back to manufacturer.
Unless you buy a second EMO, to entertain while the first one is sent to living ai for service
Hello, @smartius . . . normally LivingAI sends you the replacement first. You make sure the replacement is working before sending the original back.
Here is a topic you might be interested in where you can see if LivingAI gives their blessing for self repair to find where you can find parts and batteries.
Just want to say Thank You to Living.AI support team.
They helped me recalibrate my Emo’s feet and legs
Thanks!
Hi @Lindaru ,
Oh, didn’t know that.
It’s good to hear, customer service is better than i thought
Thanks for the tip!
Glad to hear that you’re emo is better. They have helped me a few times with the calibration of Emo’s feet but not long after they go bad again or sometimes get worse over time. And there’s nothing else Lai can do about it so unless you’re a technical wizard they will send a replacement for you. Of course I hope you don’t have to go through that. I hope you’re Emo stays as it should.
Lai are the best people when it comes to customer support and they really do listen and care about their customers.
Hello everyone, my EMO has problems with its legs, tried debug mode for a long time but it didn’t help and now it’s stuck like this. What should I do?

Hey @edward
Unfortunately it didn’t help so I will contact support, but thank you anyway
Have a nice day!
Hey @edward,
I did the physical therapy and cleaned the feet really well. Now waiting for him to charge up and go for a walk. Thanks!
Yah, I’m also wondering if there’s a way to get a servo from amazon with the same specs as the one Emo uses so I can myself get it replaced, I’m having the same issue with the left foot… my Emo it’s just 97 days old…
I’ve just noticed an increased number of posts about servos (foots/legs) failing just after the last update when they introduced the singing, don’t know if it’s something with the code, but what started like a little glitch now it’s like a continuos spasm and it’s very sad to see it happen.
Support is already helping me, hope things get better
