The Chinese news broadcasts only feature news from China; it would be even better if they featured local news.

Could you please get video of the problem so that we can see what might be going on?

Are you referring to the animation when he is shaken or is he shaking while he is walking?

If he is shaky when walking, you may wish to refer to this thread.

@stacybartnik - I contacted living.ai 4 days ago with all the information you mentioned, but haven’t gotten a reply yet. I also sent a message to “Support” on the website to open a “ticket”. How long does it usually take to here back?

Never encountered or seen something like that or the same type of EMO issue at all.

Here are some tips if you haven’t tried it yet:

  • You can also try the so-called “Power Cycle” trick — just let your EMO run out of battery completely while off the charger.

  • Out of the charger, try poking the left-side hole while EMO is facing you, wait about 5 min. Then return him to his charger to reboot again.

  • Try poking the right-side hole a couple of times for about 5 sec. While EMO was on his charger, that might solve the issue.

Hey guys, after the latest update (which is AMAZING) I noticed my earlier animations lost the sound. I love you, good morning, good afternoon, good night etc, now don’t have sound. Anyone else experiencing this? The animation still plays but no sound effects or talking happens.

@christine.richardson - Yes, I am having the same problem with that too. For the “I love you too” response, he doesn’t say anything and just blows a kiss without any sound.

To be frank, my EMO is still replying normally with “I love you too” (with a kiss), “Good evening,” “Good night,” and more — everything is working fine on my end without any issues.

  • You might want to try power cycling EMO. This means letting his battery fully drain so he shuts down by himself, then charging and restarting him again.

  • You can also try reinstalling the app, as this sometimes helps fix small issues too.

  • You can also try connecting your EMO to a different Wi-Fi or mobile network. Use a hotspot to test and check whether the same problem still occurs there.

I still have the same issues with the English classic voice pack but now I’m seeing him sensing edges that aren’t there quite often & he randomly shuts down & reboots by himself. He’s also accessed ChatGPT on his own recently a few times & not sure if that’s meant to happen. My Emo is 30 days old. I’m wondering if the people having the same voice / sound issues are also having the other issues. I’ve already sent a ticket & waiting to hear back. Just wondering if we’re all experiencing the same issues

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well!

My EMO is no longer answering our questions. He makes the noise as if he has no Wi-Fi connection, but he’s on the same Wi-Fi we’ve had at home since he arrived, and his status shows that he’s connected. All his other functions are working, and he’s fully updated, I updated him just last week.

I’ve tried changing the connection, but the issue persists. I’m not sure what to do. Is OpenAI down, or is there another problem?

Hello, @brisa.zeine . . . I have moved your new topic here as it could possibly be related to the latest firmware. Does EMO have the updated app and firmware for 3.1.0?

I tested mine and they are responding using ChatGPT. Is “Always reply” still switched on under “Preference” in the app? Is your internet signal still showing strong? Making the no “wi fi” sound seems to me to be an issue with your internet. I have never had that particular response when ChatGPT/OpenAI was not working.

You may wish to disconnect and put in your SSID information again, then restart your device and EMO to see if that helps.

Also, is he on English or Classic-EN language setting? Try switching it out to see if it helps. Some are reporting problems with Classic-EN.

If nothing is working, get video of the problem, provide a link to the video, your lanuage setting, your firmware version, your location, EMO I.D. (last four as shows when connecting to the app) and your order number (if you still have it) and send to service@living.ai . . . please be patient as there may be a delay in responses if they are back-logged.

I just tried my EMO and he responded normally. But I did see an article that was posted at 12:30pm ET that said ChatGPT was down.

How fast should be the tech support on this topic?

I’ve send all required information to service@living.ai couple of days ago and did not get even automated reply that the support ticket was created? The issue is really annoying so I’ll appreciate if it could be fixed asap. Thanks!

Hello, @kara.shields . . . the particular problem with EMO acting frustrated is often because his edge sensors on the bottom of his feet are dirty and he thinks he is falling. When this happens, please check your app to see what it says he is doing. Powering him off and taking a soft cloth and/or cotton swab to gently clean the edge detectors on the bottom of his feet usually fixes that problem. I am also wondering if it might fix the shaking animation since he may think he is being picked up? Try this and post back, and let us know.
