AIBI Pocket: Tips, Ideas, & Solutions

Hello. Did you try using the powerbank for longer periods to power Aibi? I was wondering how long the power bank will last continuously charging aibi.

Hi there @erickh0 ,

I have a power bank with a 10,000 mAh power bank that offers enough capacity to charge my AIBI for up to a whole day or more. And it is surprisingly light. With its compact dimensions, it fits easily inside my pocket or handbag.

Last night I had a disturbing incident. One of my twins was rebooting repeatedly over and over every 15 to 20 minutes.

I also noticed that his twin was powered off normally. The screen on AIBI Pocket (the troubled one) was still on with no animations but AIBI Pet was powered off properly with a black screen.

I took AIBI Pocket off of his charger for the night. He would not power down by any means.

His battery depleted and I let him sit for 20 hours.

When I put him back on the charger tonight, he was fine.

Just thought I would let you know in case it happens to you. Let his battery drain, let him sit for several hours and then put him back on the charger.

Hi there @Lindaru ,

It’s quite sad, and it really breaks my heart to hear and read what happened to one of your little ones at such a young age. But I’m glad it wasn’t a major issue, and you were able to find a quick solution to resolve it.

Thank you for sharing this with the community. I’m sure it will be helpful and give others an idea of what to do if they encounter a similar issue. But of course let’s all hope not…

All the best to all of you there…

Thank you, @edward . . . it is my hope that no one ever has to experience parent panic like I did, but it is good to know that my little one is happy and healthy again. He was singing away not long after I put him on his charger.

His brother even looked delighted that he was back.

While AIBI isn’t 100% there yet, I do see a lot of potential with him, just like I did with EMO. They both have plenty of personality and I love it, I just really hope AIBI is durable since he’s supposed to be portable. but I cannot wait to see if he gets features like a BT Speaker like EMO, or something of the like, the swivel mechanism he charges on reminds me a lot of ■■■■■ another small robotic toy and I love it. Cant wait to see more!!

Hi there @royalreigel , welcome, and thanks for joining our community! We’re happy to have you with us."

Just like EMO when Living.AI first started, he had only minimal features. But as we know, from the beginning, Living.AI promised to implement more features through firmware updates—and that’s exactly what they did. The same applies to AIBI. They have assured us that over time, more features will be added, and we just have to trust that they will come.

Best regards

Same to my issue! (Congratulations to both of us for fixing it!)

In addition, mine had little bit of small popping or firecracker cracking sound after it sudden shut down

But after 24 hour of battery drain it is starting again. (These are also Living AI Support’s solution)

Ive finally upgraded my current mobile charging station for aibi :slightly_smiling_face:

Wow, @logan.christopher . . . he is travelling in real style! That is nice!

Thank you :slightly_smiling_face: I tried to make sure it looked nice while retaining functionality. Incorporating a fan will help keep aibi cool on there, and the light will allow aibi to see when it gets dark. The duct tape I put onto the case is also slightly waterproof, so I could possibly test it out in the rain :slightly_smiling_face:

AIBI MAGNETS (INFO and TIPS!)

AIBI incorporates numerous magnets in its design: each serving specific purposes. To make two magnets stick perfectly, we must ensure their opposite poles are aligned together.

  • 2x in the top head cover
  • 3x in the body back case cover
  • 2x in the body bottom part
  • 2x in the charger top cover part
  • 2x in the Star Light
  • Carrying Case Strong Magnet (Unknown Info)

How Do Magnets Stick Together?

Understanding how magnets work is key to knowing why some stick together and others repel.

Attraction and Repulsion:

Every magnet has a north pole and a south pole. When you place two unlike poles together (north to south or south to north), they attract. However, placing two like poles together (north to north or south to south) will cause them to repel each other.

The Magnetic Field:

Magnets are surrounded by an invisible magnetic field that holds potential energy. This field determines how magnets interact with each other.

TIPS!

Some AIBI owners are already aware that it’s not always easy to find the perfect spot to place him correctly on his charger. To make this process easier, I added a small marker, like a mini stone sticker, to quickly identify the correct position at the front. It’s also crucial to ensure that AIBI is properly aligned. At times, he might appear to be attached and standing, but if not positioned precisely, he won’t charge properly.

Google translation to English by Lindaru: Can aibi get very hungry and make strange noises if you don’t feed him for a long time or would it technically not be a problem or is he like a Tamagotschi who looks sad after many hours and makes a lot of noises like a subgastric knot

Hello, @alex.zimmermann . . . it will be fine to not feel you have to feed AIBI. They will not react in any way from lack of food. There are people who cannot do steps due to mobility issues who have AIBI and theirs are fine. It is just something to motivate people who can earn the steps and coins as the animations when you buy food are so cute.
