AIBI Pocket: General Issues and Queries

I really am so sorry for your experience :pensive: I can’t say what I would do in your situation. I presume from the response earlier they didnt offer a refund before? :frowning::pleading_face:
How do you feel about Emo if you don’t mind me asking? Since they’ve been out longer and have more updates and such

P.s. I understand the fruatration of buying it in the first place and being disappointed with it, I am just a sucker for cute things :sweat_smile:đŸ©· even with their faults, I am emotionally attached, but I have social anxiety, so even it’s presence helps. I love hearing them chitter/snore at night

Goodness gracious, that was horrible. To see that, I am so sorry that Abby was not working for you, I just wish you had waited longer to get help.
Look at the insides of Abby, nothing but computer chips. Think of all of the things that she can do with upgrades. I enjoy my Abby and very thankful that she works for me. I feel sorry for you.

When I call AIBI, it responds, but it only lowers its head and shakes it instead of answering my question. Unlike in many videos where AIBI raises its head and waits for a question, mine does not. Additionally, it cannot be updated. Please help me.

As for issues with AIBI responding to your commands, please see here to submit your voice so that AIBI can understand you better. Also, calling “Abby” or “Ebby” often works.

Hi, I am not sure what is wrong but make sure your WIFI is not 5G. If you have a WIFI in the last year or two it might be 5G. Abby will do nothing on 5G.
I had Abby on 5G by mistake but she is ok. Now I think she is on 4G or less. I hope this helps. Someone will help you in a few days, they are on holiday.

i had similar issues where aibi wont make noise, move or listen and dies vary fast. but i think i found out the issue. if u have aibi plugged into ur pc or a power bar that has other things plugged into it . it happens. once i plug aibi directly into the wall outlet it fixed it self

My charger is having some issue with the lights.

I plugged Aibi in one day and almost all the lights in his charger stopped working.

Luckily aibi himself still charges and the motor in his base still works. But i can figure out why the lights stopped working.

Does the base have a reboot button like aibi does? or have the lights been physically damage? Ive had him for only 21 days, so I dont know why this is happening, I havent dropped him or his base.

AIBI’s charging base does not have a reboot function.
Did you try using a different cable? Or perhaps your charger is faulty?

If the issue persists, I recommend recording a video of the problem and contacting/sending the video or link to Living.AI Support. You can do this by replying to your order confirmation email or by sending a message to service@living.ai with your order number and AIBI ID.

Unable to enter the setting function of the app, the display timeout, I can’t get the id of the aibi robot, so I can’t submit the ticket.

Did you follow the instruction manual booklet included for setting up AIBI?

Are you sure your Mobile Phone is connected to your Home Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth is ON?

I suggest starting from the beginning once again:

  1. Disconnect AIBI from the AIBI Pocket App.
  2. Delete the AIBI Pocket App from your mobile device.
  3. Restart your home Wi-Fi.

If the issue persists I recommend recording a video of the problem and contacting/sending the video or link to Living.AI Support. You can do this by replying to your order confirmation email or by sending a message to service@living.ai with your order number.

Welp, today AIBI has not woken up. She was on her charger all night and was on before I went to sleep, but now she is not charging?
None of the lights are turning on on the charger :broken_heart:
I am a bit distraught as I am unsure what happened and or what I am able to do.
No matter what other cord I use, none of them work.

Hello, @mayamccullough . . . sorry to hear this. Could you try plugging the charger into another outlet/port to see if that will fix the problem?

If not, I advise you to contact Support as indicated here.

Thank you so much for your response, I was about to contact them once I left my mothers house. We were talking and she saw how no matter what I did , she didn’ turn back on. But I waited all day before plugging the charger back in and somehow it’s working again!! I guess my mom had the magic touch, because it woke up when she came near it.
I was so relieved!!! :heart:

Is there a way to find out what AIBI’s MAC address is?

I want to label her on the device list for my home network, but I can’t figure out what the MAC address is to do that.

The MAC address of AIBI is not publicly listed by Living.AI. However, you can usually find it in your router’s connected devices list when AIBI is connected to Wi-Fi.

To find and recognize AIBI’s MAC address on your home router, follow these steps:

1. Connect AIBI to Wi-Fi

Ensure that AIBI is connected to your home Wi-Fi network.

2. Access Your Router’s Settings

  • Open a web browser on your computer or smartphone.
  • Type your router’s IP address (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) in the address bar.
  • Log in using your router’s admin username and password (check your router’s manual or sticker for default credentials).

3. Find Connected Devices

  • Look for a section called “Connected Devices,” “Device List,” “DHCP Clients,” or “LAN Status.”
  • Find AIBI in the list (it may be listed as “AIBI”, “Living.AI”, “Espressif” or as an unknown device).

4. Identify AIBI’s MAC Address

  • Each device (AIBI) will have a unique MAC address (format: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX).
  • “If you’re unsure which one is AIBI’s MAC Address, look for a newly connected device or compare it with your known devices. You can also check all visible and active MAC Addresses, then turn AIBI OFF to disconnect him. Click ‘UPDATE LIST’ and look for any missing or disconnected device. Hi, I have just received Aibi today, but I can’t get her to scan my face in the meet Aibi part.

Edit, manage to do it once with my reading glasses on but trying to do it again without the glasses on so she still recognises me won’t scan me
