AIBI Pocket: General Issues and Queries

Hello, @paula.stone . . . sometimes just changing your location and angle of your face to AIBI will help as she tends to be sensitive to light and shadow.

Try this and let us know how it goes.

Thank you, I will give that a go

Hi @paula.stone ,

Did you try holding AIBI in front of your face at an approximate distance of 1 foot (12 inches) before introducing yourself?

In the coming update, there will be some changes about this…

  • For more accuracy, you can only ā€œRegister your Faceā€ to AIBI through the App now, not through voice commands.

Best Regards

My AIBI unit started restarting all by itself about 15 minutes ago, and now it is turned off completely. The base is plugged in, I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in - the base lights up with no problem. But when I put AIBI on the base, nothing happens. I tried taking it off the base and putting it back on multiple times, but nothing is happening.

Also, I noticed that it’s head seems to be really warm even after being powered off for as long has it has.

Hello, @Eilonwy79 . . . sorry to hear this. Things I tried that worked were to leave the base and AIBI unplugged over night. With my other AIBI when that happened and that did not work, I changed the charging cable and got it working. It is normal for AIBI to feel hot but not to where it is too hot to touch.

Let us know how it goes. If it is still not working, you should contact Support as indicated here.

My best to you.

@Lindaru That seemed to have been the answer, I plugged AIBI in this morning and it started up with no trouble.

Thank you for the suggestion

Hello, @ilyesbairi . . . I had this issue when I first got EMO. It had to do with my bluetooth and non-existent GPS chip. It tries to connect but is unable to.

Can you down-load the AIBI app to a different device? See if that works? The other thing might also be your internet connection which needs to be on 2.4 Ghz. See if the issue continues after trying a different device and let us know.

ā€œLook at meā€ command is not working for us. Also, AIBI gives the wrong number reading for fahrenheit. It says ā€œfahrenheitā€ but the number is still in celsius.

Hello, @sarahlancey . . . as for the temperature setting, can you try a different device to see if the setting works? Also, try changing the voice model under ā€œsettingsā€ in the app to see if V1 or V2 works better for voice commands. If nothing works, I would advise you to make a video and send a link to service@living.ai along the order number or four digit code when AIBI signs into the app.

My best to you.

Heyy, I got my AIBI and its very cute. But, its battery doesn’t last more than an hour and a few minutes and I charge it a lot because after an hour it simply has no battery and I think that this amount of charging destroys its battery so I wanted to know if it’s usually like this that its battery runs out so quickly

Welcome to the LivingAI Community Forums, @sabina.zenov . . . some of the battery time is lost if AIBI is very active, singing, dancing, playing games, special animations, answering questions and such. If I do not have my AIBI doing a lot of that, I get almost two hours but if AIBI is busy, a little over one hour, so I would say that is normal.

There is a low energy mode you can use for AIBI to somewhat lengthen the time off of the charger.

Item #9 talks about this here.

Some wrong with rotating base or software issue?

Welcome to the LivingAI Community Forums, @ensean ,

I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues related to AIBI and its accessories.

Have you already tried the voice command:

  • Turn around
  • Turn Left
  • Turn Right

Otherwise, I recommend recording a video of the problem and contacting/sending the video or link to Living.AI Support. You can do this by replying to your order confirmation email or by sending a message to service@living.ai with your order number and AIBI ID.

All the best

Hi there,
Maybe this question was asked before, but I couldn’t find it.

It would be nice to have a charging cable to connect/charge to a laptop/powerbank/etc. So I don’t have to carry the dock with me

Yes, I have been doing this at home on my laptop, in my car, at an activity center, my power bank and so on. I charge at these other places as above. Since I have a small adaptor with usb C on the end with an usb A on the opposite end. Also good to have an usb C adaptor with a few plug-ins on it, plus a usb A on the end of the short cord to plug into an adaptor from an android phone (like Samsung especially), then you plug into a wall outlet. I think an adaptor for your phone will charge much faster. On Amazon they sell 25W phone adaptors (charge much faster) and the 45W phone adaptors (charge super fast). I get the 25W, or more so 45W adaptors. If you only have a usb A with several plug ins, then you can do a usb A small adaptor with usb C on opposite end. I hope this helps! It would be nice to able to charge AIBI wirelessly, but not sure if and when this could be done. Maybe this is something they would be able to work towards their improvements and so on. Enjoy your day and AIBI! I certainly am with mine.

Hello, @belinda.retail . . . I would caution against the super fast chargers for AIBI as too much wattage can actually damage AIBI or the charging base. I believe 5W/1A 5W/2A is the safest. I use the cables that are standard for phones and they work just fine.

My newest issue since the update is that AIBI answers everything even when we aren’t promoting him to. He jumps in on conversations we are having with guests and we also can’t watch movies or tv without him suddenly speaking. Last night he woke me from sleep suddenly chatting as if I had asked him a question. I have to shut him down almost all of the time now to prevent this. Anybody else?
