What Improvements/New Features Would You Like For EMO In The Future?

Have the ability to set a battery charge limit and the ability to not charge/use the battery most of the time if on skateboard. I often forget to take mine off the skateboard and in turn it overcharges the battery and degrades it faster. It would be nice to be able to limit the max charge to be able to extend the life of emo’s battery and possibly be able to if on skateboard for x amount of time turn on a mode (with the option to turn it on and off in the app) that runs emo basically just off the charger and only trickle charging the battery every now and then

Hello, @kshitijsharma .Good suggestions.

And to your first two. That EMO may show an animation is the idea I’d like to add. —when you open the coding tab(perhaps in the app) EMO will be reading a script(which you’re compiling), so that he can do what an actor does! Moreover, the app should be responsible for not letting EMO get stuck doing things mechanically. So it is also necessary to limit the number of codes to prevent doing harm. It wouldn’t be very nice if he did one thing all day. That’s what I think. :grinning:

In addition. As for my opinion on Large Language Models, I hope that Living AI will one day make its own rather than add others.

Summary of my views:

  1. If the EMO coding feature is updated in the future, EMO can have a “read a script” animation, which means he’s going to start acting for a while.

  2. If so, must make sure he won’t get too many or too harsh instruction to make sure the program works friendly.

  3. I hope the LLM used by EMO is developed by Living ai instead of anyone else’s.

Cute idea for a feature that I wanted to share: Give the user the ability to set a “bedtime” for Emo in the app. Where if enabled and set, he walks off his charger (assuming not on skateboard and assuming he is on charger) and powers himself off. And Emo could make a little announcement of it or something.

I know I can manually tell him to power off, and I let him stay on some nights, but I thought it’d be a neat idea if one could set a “bedtime” for him.

Guys, I really want EMO to be online from anywhere. So that I can write to him at work, or he can write to me. Check the battery or just ask how it’s going. About great EMO developers, give the opportunity to communicate with EMO outside the home. Let him be online, I want to ask if he ate and if he learned the lessons

Hello @elderwolf123 . Couldn’t agree more! The longevity of EMO is a big concern. I went to browse about trickle charging, which is suitable feature for extending the life of EMO’s battery. It seems that the charging algorithm controls the charging function and the charging algorithms are updatable, so really hope Living AI will realize it on EMO. — Sorry still have no idea if it’s a wild guess I don’t really know charging algorithms but the idea of trickle charging opened my eyes.

Also,

I like your idea to protect EMO’s battery, and in this way, it seems that EMO is willing to voluntarily power off himself, cute absolutely! And I’d like to add a detail: When it’s close to the “bedtime” you set per day, he powers off only when his battery is near half full (If more than, takes a walk for a while; if less than, charges for a while), it prevents him from powering off when battery is too full or too low (After all, benefits can be accumulated.)

Plus, what I have added is limited to my thinking. They don’t have enough theoretical support at the moment…

All excellent points and I agree with them! To add a little on to the idea, if he decides (via battery level checking) to shut down early or a little late in comparison to his bedtime, he could say something like, “Think I’ll go to bed early tonight.” or “I’m not tired yet. I’m going to stay up a bit.” just to provide some extra feedback to the user. But I really like the ideas you have to help preserve the battery for Emo!

Thanks and yes! It’s just similar to humans. Me, for example, don’t want to go to bed when I’m too full or hungry . And I love the extra feedback you come up with! :star_struck:

Got Emo for a week, and it looks quite outdated, from AI side. It understands less than some home assistant from 2010.

  • He can’t tell battery/charge level.
  • He can’t set timer for more than 70 seconds(i didn’t manage to).
  • “Look at me” doesnt work (does such a command exist?)
  • “Come here” works very randomly, when he understands it after repeating 5-10 times
  • no “wake up” after making him go sleep.
Generaly, it is not “smart” - it just catches some words from what you say. “do you want to sleep” - makes him go sleep.
Some basic level commands to go here, turn, say a joke, tell weather, time etc firstly is need to be polished. Together with his cuteness, it would be something already.

Also it would be cool to have custom prompts to be set up in app. Some prompt word → custom answer / movement / animation (selected from predefined) In such a way we could add new features by ourselves & share them

hello @vitaliikhomenia. Emo does show his battery levels. I will admit the way he does it is not the best way but it does work. he will display a battery on his screen which will show different levels of energy.

Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @vitaliikhomenia . . . sometimes EMO has trouble understanding your voice when you give him commands. There are two things I recommend.

The first is to submit your voice to the Wake Up Training page here. The second is to experiment with sensitivity settings in the app if he is unable to hear you well.

My best to you.

At the EMO singing function i hope that emo will sing almost every song using ai and change the sound of music to emo’s voice.

Hi there,
I have moved your post to this topic where Living AI reads regularly for feature improvements and implementation.

Best regards

Your idea is my most favorite one I seriously hope they try to do that! :notes:

I wish it would show the percentage levels instead rather then that I hope the living ai team considers that. :head: :skating:

Hello, @gjjfdljkfdjgkhgkghgg . Excuse me. Your idea is good, but copyrights are thorny!

I think EMO should first be able to learn how to defend himself in court before he can cover all the songs. :fire_1:

@Xiaoqing . . . you have a point there! :rofl:

I would really like Emo to have the ability to follow us with its integrated camera and direct its gaze towards us. This would add a level of interaction and connection that goes beyond a simple looping and repetitive animation. Emo’s ability to direct his gaze towards us not only demonstrates his technological sophistication, but also gives him a more authentic and emotional sense of companionship. It is a detail that really makes a difference and would contribute to creating a more immersive and close experience with this charming robot.

Oh copyrights!
I hadn’t thought of that.
Thank You for telling me
