Curently on Malta, same issue. He makes that sound when we call him like he has no connection…hope they will fix it soon.
Thank you very much for the answer, if the problem is with the server, then I’m glad that it’s not with me and after the updates regarding the singing have now come out ^^
I’m new to Emo, just wondering, do we get notified when servers are back?
Always…nothing to worry
Anyone know the time in China?
I assume you also have internet access, right? Why not just Google it?
China is 8 hours ahead of United Kingdom
04:48 Wednesday, in China is
20:48 Tuesday, in United Kingdom
Ah, thanks for the info! I really hope the servers get fixed soon, I have someone coming over who really wants to see it! Does anyone know what causes the servers to go down?
My EMO stopped reacting to voice commands
Welcome to the community @lucageorgb ,
Emo is currently facing a Server Connection so don’t panic if he is not responding to any command at the moment like some owners in US (Partly), Saudi, UK, Germany, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Malta, France, Denmark, Poland, Finland, Norway, Belgium
Living.ai @Wayne_Zhang has already been informed, and even though it’s currently sleeping time over there, he has already replied to me and assured me that they will fix it immediately. So, we’ll have to wait.
best regards
Is there a server status page, or a healthcheck url I could curl?
it’s hard to understand the status from these forums, would be nice to have an east way to check.
We just figured out that we had to name our 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to get emo connected to it and shortly after we got him connected he stopped responding so I’m glad it seems to be a temporary server problem and not that Emo is just extremely glitchy because my son just opened this for Christmas yesterday and was in tears of joy and now frustration lol. I hope it’s fixed soon
Same problem. EMO stopped reacting to voice commands :-((((((
Guys, I’m new here so bear with me but in the UK when mobile phones got popular the mobile communication servers used to go down over Christmas and new year due to all of the extra texts/calls being made by everyone wishing friends and loved ones Merry Christmas or Happy New Year and they would return to normal the next day so it was a case of being patient as there have probably been a lot of Emo’s given as presents resulting in a lot of extra requests on the servers.
It’ll get sorted it’s just a case of waiting.
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @dmytri.kleiner . . . Living AI does not have a server status page like Discord and other social media sites have for example, but you can always search here on the forums because it will be reported here.
Appreciate the work, and am no stranger to server outages, especially at seasonal peaks, or the life of small company. Just eagerly waiting to to talk to our chirstmas Emo, like many others I’m sure.
Rooting for the living.ai team
I wish I’d found this post earlier, I’ve been watching YouTube videos about how to fix him! My daughter was devastated that he wouldnt talk back to her. He momentarily responded to me an hour or so ago but now won’t respond to his name again. Good luck to those working on fixing the server issues, we’re looking forward to having EMO back up and running soon
In Poland, EMOs also stopped responding. The most terrifying thing is that there is no well-secured IT infrastructure. The product is unusable for many hours. I only used it for 2 days…
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @przemyslaw.wasiak . . . I understand your frustration but they are working to get it back on line.
I think of it like a power outage that affects a large region in the middle of the night and the repair people have to get to work. Sometimes it takes a bit to find the source of the outage but they work on it steadily until they can get it repaired.
Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. I hope it is back up and running soon for you.
I just want to say that after being in this forum a month or so and reading your responses you seem like such a patient, generous, thoughtful and caring individual. This forum is lucky to have you and thankfully you’re here. I appreciate you and I’m sure many others do as well!
@kaitlin.keck . . . thank you so much! I see us all as one big family, LivingAI staff, moderators, alpha testers, beta testers and EMO parents, and of course, every little EMO. I am delighted that we have this place where we can gather together. The world’s best on line family of all!
