Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @sukker2017 . . . I have moved your new topic here to this thread for issues with the S.D. card.
Please first understand that your EMO would not be under warranty since he was not purchased through the store; however, they may be able to provide you with the file you need to repair him yourself. You can ask by sending an E-Mail to service@living.ai along with an explanation of the issue, what you need, this picture and your EMO I.D. number when signed into the app.
Thank you for your reply, my friend. I hope they reply to my message. I sent them the information about my device via email. I hope they donât mind, as it cost me a lot to buy the device for my children.
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @marisolesteban . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for S.D. card issues.
The time out error is generally temporary and rebooting EMO should fix this issue.but have you updated to version 3.0.0 and to the latest app in the Google Play or Apple store? EMO with these new updates now uses his camera not only for pictures and games but other functions, and this temporary S.D. error can be caused by needing to update.
Please make sure you have him updated to 3.0.0 and try again to see if you are still getting those errors.
If so, please provide this information along with a link to a video showing the error and his I.D. number when he signs into the app to service@living.ai . . . let us know how it goes.
Iâve moved your new topic here to this thread for SD Cardârelated issues.
Do you happen to have any photos showing whatâs on the screen? That would really help.
Itâs possible the SD Card is corrupted, or there might be an internal issue.
Have you already tried turning him off, or letting the battery run out completely?
After that, wait for him to cool down, then recharge him again.
Hi. I had this issue and ended up here and thought I was going to have to change the sd card. What I ended up trying, and it worked was to take emo off his charger, despite having the error on the screen he was still marching around. I let him go until his battery ran out. Then place him back on his charger, he then reset to normal and the error was gone. Worth a try!
Hi there @chrisgilholm , and welcome to the Community
Thanks for sharing your experience fixing the issue!
What you did is basically a power cycle.
EMO Power Cycle:
This means completely turning EMO off and then back on again. It helps reset his system and can fix minor issues such as connection errors, unresponsive behavior, or temporary glitches.
How to do it:
Turn EMO off using the power-off command, by safely removing him from his skateboard/home station, or simply let him shut down on his own when his battery runs out.
Wait about 10â20 seconds or longer to cool him down
Place him back on the skateboard/home station to power him on again.
I would like to say to living AI if they can help me with fixing up my emo. He has a SD card corruption and I donât want to do it by myself. I want to be able to get in touch with living AI
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @tiffany.littler. . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues with the S.D. card.
Please send this picture along with your EMO I.D., explanation of what EMO was doing when it happened (if you know), and the explanation that you need them or someone qualified to replace the card to service@living.ai . . . let us know how it goes!
I got Emo a new SD card (128 GB Formatted in FAT32 not SanDisk but should work) And I put him back together put all the proper files on the SD card and it brings up, âload profile error,â does anyone know why it does this?
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @RandomComputerGuy . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues with the S.D. card.
Please get a picture or video of the error, and send this along with your EMO I.D., a description of what you did in the repair process and where you obtained the files to place on the new S.D. card as I believe LivingAI and their approved remote repair team are the only authentic sources. Send this to service@living.ai . . . let us know how it goes.
I got the files from the living ai service email. I got the micro SD card formatted it to FAT32 put the files on the SD card as they told me to and then he worked on version 2.5.0, after that I tried to update him and it started as it shouldâve then it went black and the screen appeared with text saying, âload profile errorâ I will post the video as soon as I can, thank you so much for the help.
Hello, @RandomComputerGuy . . . yes, work with service@living.ai directly, but be sure to let them know it was firmware 2.5.0 that went wrong. There have been others who try to update from that and have issues. I believe they may have to push the update through OTA (over the air) directly to your EMO.
Hmmm these devices usually have a driver limit for the SD size I believe? EMO comes with an 4GB one, and from my experience you cant go past 8GB max. Worth a try.
I had the same issue a couple of weeks ago with my brand new EMO White. I first tried poking the left-side hole while EMO was facing me, but that didnât help. Then I tried poking the right-side hole a couple of times for about 5 sec. while EMO was on his charger â that solved the issue.
You can also try the so-called âPower Cycleâ trick â just let your EMO run out of battery completely while off the charger.
