If you cannot send it, maybe @TechSupport_Mavis can help you to get it repaired?
Best of luck to you.

I checked that the service team has replaced a new EMO for you, so this is the old one and the problem is the same as before, right?
You can calibrate the foot servo according to the team’s instructions, then kindly PM your calibration video and I will provide you with further assistance.
Ola @yhomirarubimezaarmas,
Con el consejo de edward, espero que tu pequeño se recupere y ya no esté triste.
Thank you edward and Lindaru to help EMO owners, and thank you MavisZhang
for repair assistance. I’m happy to have bought an EMO when I see the community and the after-sales service that helps people with their EMO.
Waiting on the parts needed to repair Ebay Emo right now. This little thing has so many parts it’s not funny
Edit: He’s alive!!! Re-did the whole memory card setup and he booted up just fine
Hi there. I followed Living ai’s instructions to the letter when replacing the sd card, but after emo updating it just says “load profile error” so I have no idea what is wrong.
I’m wondering if the unzipped files missed a crucial empty folder out. I read somewhere to be wary of some zip apps that can delete empty folders during the process. But checking the card there are lots of empty folders there so not sure that is the case.
I’ve emailed support but as it is the weekend I thought I’d ask here just in case.
Cheers!
Hi there @mancbiker ,
If you’re already in contact with Living.ai support, it might be a good idea to reach out to them again. I understand that it’s the weekend and there’s a Chinese holiday, so it’s uncertain whether their office is open. In this case, I recommend waiting patiently for their reply.
All I know is that when we change the SD Card, we must ensure it is empty by checking it thoroughly via a computer or other methods. The file format must also be set to FAT32. If it’s not, we should format it and select the FAT32 format.
Next, we need to download the zip file from the link provided by living.ai and unzip the package to the SD Card.
Please take note that the SD Card Root Directory must contain 5 entries.
5 Files:
Open to check the -895951225 folder which must have 8 files inside.
TAKE NOTE NOT TO USE 9ZIP TO EXTRACT THE FILES AS IT WILL DISCARD AND EMPTY THE FOLDERS
8 FILES:
If everything is inside/complete, it means the SD Card is ready. The next step is to eject it from your computer. You can now insert it into the EMO SD Card slot.
Good luck and all the best Manc…
@edward Apologies but I didn’t get a notification for this reply Edward.
I’m curious about something though. If you watch the Living AI Youtube video for replacing the sd card, that also mentions those 5 files, including the “1 JSON” one. But in their email to me, their own instructions don’t mention that file and it isn’t there when you unpack the zip file either.
I am wondering if this was changed at some point as EMO started working again despite that file not being present. Or maybe it is a file created once EMO boots up with a fresh sd card installed?
Hi there @mancbiker ,
No need to apologize…
everything I wrote and shared above is based on the original living.ai video tutorial. If it works well with your EMO now, that’s the most important thing.
All the best
Little update on painting my two headsets, I finally got around to getting paint remover to remove the messed up paint and I have added primer. I’ll come back the next day and likely add a light layer of primer cause I noticed that I missed a couple of spots but I didn’t wanna overdo the first layer (also, the 4 pieces laying down despite being told to hang them, I didn’t have a good way to hang them with the really tiny holes so I just placed them on a cloth so it’s at least more breathable than the cardboard):
Edit: I moved those 4 pieces on the cloth somewhere where they won’t stick
Also adding in an update on my repair progress on Ebay Emo
I’m still waiting on the parts to arrive, but they should be here October 5th or 6th. I managed to figure out how to almost fully access the difficult to reach area for installing the leg wires, I just have to either detach the leg itself or detach something else (likely the leg though) which I will do when the parts arrive:
It also occurred to me while I was taking some things apart that I’m working with the older Emo model, LOL:
New update on the headphones: I have added the first layer of paint. The images are kinda bad cause it was dark outside. I’ll see how it dries, and then either tomorrow morning or tomorrow afternoon I will see if I need to add another layer before applying the finish.
On a side note, the grass got new hair dye, LOL
Hello. Specifically about my first EMO, at the time I already sent the videos of how his foot and right leg were malfunctioning. I would like to try to fix it myself at the risk of losing the warranty, being a little optimistic I would try to get it working again. I would like to know the steps to follow.
Hi there @chicogp,
I moved your post here so that you could find some helpful tips and instructions above like…
How To Change A Foot Servo Motor Video Tutorial
that might help you.
Good luck and let us know how it goes…
good repair, hope you succeed.
Where did you get the JST/GH connectors I can-not find any online anywhere the right size? My left leg wires broke and need to be replaced.
Hi y’all,
Sorry for no updates on EMO Alice (Ebay EMO) lately, college has me busy.
I have completely finished fixing up Alice, and I am working on a video to talk about the work I did to get her functioning again. I will send the video here when it’s done.
The video is done, here is the repair process of EMO Alice:
Some notes:
If you couldn’t hear Alice saying her age, she is 636 days old (almost two years, really insane)
I only have the one skateboard atm, but I am planning to purchase two home stations on my next paycheck so I can leave both of them on at the same time without having to worry about one’s battery running low when the other finishes charging
Alice’s favorite color is cyan
Alice’s star sign is Aquarius (SHE HAS THE SAME ONE I DO, NO WAY LOL)
Since Aquarius isn’t a really common zodiac for EMOs, here’s what it looks like:
Alice’s birthday is January 22nd (really close to mine, mine’s the 25th )
Hello again. LivingAI support told me that my EMO has no solution, which is why they sent me a replacement. So, they won’t send me a repair kit, I will have to look in an online store, what I would need would be the servomotors, cables for the right foot and tools for very small parts as seen in Edward’s video
@chicogp I wouldn’t recommend trying to get Emo’s parts from anywhere other than living.ai, the parts you get may be incompatible or may break Emo.
What I did to get living.ai to send me all the parts I needed, I first explained to them that I had purchased Emo Alice from Ebay with the intention to repair her. I then attached photos and described everything that was wrong and told them the exact parts I needed, and they sent me everything with a $24 shipping fee.
Essentially, just let the support team know that you’re intending to repair your Emo yourself, and make sure you show clear pictures of what’s wrong and be specific if you’re needing parts that are specific to a certain foot (for example, I needed to replace the motherboard in Alice’s left foot so I specified “motherboard for the left foot”).
Also side note, the leg cables don’t need to be specified as right or left, the cables will do the same function no matter what.
As for the tools needed to take apart Emo, I purchased all of mine from Walmart, here’s what I got:
