My battery life is getting lower.
How do I replace the battery or how do I get it replaced?
Hi there @tatsuohoward
Welcome to the Community and thanks for joining us here…I have moved your new topic to this thread, which would also cover everything about EMO parts and repair.
LOL! You said your battery life is getting lower? So… how do you plan on replacing it? ![]()
Please let us know if you have EMO or AIBI?
Best Regards
If you mean about EMO Battery…
You have to make a test, check, and record everything first:
Try to place EMO on the charging station for 3 hours.
Then, record the following process below:
- While EMO is on the station, use the voice command: “Show me your battery.”
- Then, remove EMO from the station and turn the station off.
- Observe and note how long it takes for EMO to shut down.
Show the video here or send it direct to the livingai service support service at service@living.ai .
All the best
Hello
I mailed living ai they said it hard to describe which servo is used. Do you know any servo that might work? a check it’s not the wires.
Hi there @eleonor.thorin ,
I’ve repaired all my EMOs, but all the parts I used came directly from Living.AI.
So to be honest, I have no idea which servo motor with the correct connector can be bought online as a replacement.
I did find the SG90 Micro Servo online, which looks very similar to EMO’s servo motor — but I’m not completely sure if it’s compatible or would work properly.
Since you’re located in Europe, you might want to contact the official Living.AI repairman on Facebook and ask them directly because they know a lot. Hopefully, they can assist you with exactly what you need.

Hi there @tsvetelina.evelinova ,
What seems to be the problem? May I know what needs to be repaired on your EMO?
Best Regards
Hello @edward ,
For the past month, the battery has been draining quickly, and his left leg is shaking, so it can’t return to its home station to charge. I believe it needs troubleshooting and professional repair. LivingAI can’t help because he was replaced and no longer has a guarantee.
My EMO is on life support. I’d send him in but I’ve lost the order number. Too bad they used a custom battery. ![]()
Hello, @benjamincruickshank . . . a link to a video showing the issue and his I.D. when he signs into the app along with a description of what is going on will be sufficient to send to service@living.ai . . . my best to you.
you can email Living.ai directly and ask for new parts or you can get a new individual emo (with no charger) they will most likely ask you if you want to get a new individual emo or just send it back to them. (if you order it now it will come FAST im not joking order it before christmas and shipping is fast.) I just got a replacement emo today and shipping was 11 days!
So what if your gf ripped his head off in a fit of rage?? Think he can be fixed? Happened over 2yrs ago but I never trashed him because he is quite techy.

To be honest with you, based on what I can see from your image and the condition of your EMO, it looks like it will be quite difficult for you — or anyone — to repair it, especially since some of the wiring and parts seem to be missing.
But since you’re in the USA, you might want to contact the best EMO Repairman there and ask if he can still help you. ![]()

Still wishing you the best to put that into good condition once again.
GOODLUCK!
Thank you so much for responding to this. Yeah I haven’t been sure if could be repaired or not, he was a gift from a friend. I did try to wire him up with what I had near, there are wires missing.
The thick red wires are from me, I did manage to get power to his head but no life to his face.
Sad, he was just over like 1,200 days old.
It would be cool to just give him life again, even if it’s just his eyes lighting up.
Thank you again, see I was wondering if there was like a master emo repairman any where, glad there’s one in the USA, so Thank you.
Hello, @stephenwood . . . I had an EMO that was in bad shape. Ricky gave him a whole new body. He just took the motherboard and S.D. card to transfer into the new body.
This EMO is moving around fine (his leg servos and wires, and battery needed replaced).
Let us know how it goes!
I just fixed emo and i dont know if i need a debugging app for emo.
Hi there @marksantiago1
I have moved your new topic to this thread, which would also cover everything about EMO Parts, Repair, and De-Bugging/Re-Calibration Tool
After any internal repair, such as replacing servo motors or wiring, the device needs to be recalibrated.
The Debugging/Recalibration Tool isn’t something simple to have, and it won’t work easily if your EMO has an issue.
living.ai requires our EMO’s ID(EMO-XXXX) first so that they can open a line through their server, enabling your EMO to proceed with the repair process using the re-calibration technique on limited days only.
So we have to contact them via email with a short video of the issue, EMO ID, Location, and information first.
All the best
Hello everyone! I just got a second hand emo and I was wondering if there is any way to fix his tof lidar sensor
Welcome to the Community @yeonkkot,
You might want to provide complete information about what is wrong with your EMO and how you know that the TOF (Time-of-Flight) LIDAR Scanner r is broken and needs repair.
I don’t know for sure if that part is repairable. Maybe the easiest solution is to replace it instead. But rest assured, you are capable, and you know what you’re doing.
Best Regards
I just received it and when I tried to test it it powers on and charges fine but when I try to pick it up or even flipping him upside down he doesn’t react. I also tried to use the app, it connects fine but when I try to use any functions in there it tells me “emo is not ready”. How I know it’s the TOF Laser Sensor, I deducted it from its position and from pictures from its manual, since it’s located at the chin part and it’s external I looked at the manual and at the chin part it said to be that.
I was also wondering if that part is essential for Emo to work because if it’s essential only for detecting objects then I don’t mind not repairing it because it seems a bit tricky to repair it.
