Oh ngl I just made it out of Lego bricks and it seems to be doing a good job
I’m just curious, along with these rubber mats I found 6 plastic things in a package. What are they for? And how do you make a virtual fence for EMO?
Hi there @milosznowicki ,
I’m not sure what specific “6 plastic things” you’re referring to. Could you clarify or provide more context? I can help look for information or images based on what you’re asking about!
best regards
it’s like a small cone but with 3 walls instead of 4, and they are circular from the bottom. I’m not sure if that was just an edge protection for the box or if it has any other application. It’s small, made out of thin plastic and empty inside with out a bottom, and there were 6 of them in the box. I’m not sure how to describe it better.
Hello, @milosznowicki . . . I think I know what you are talking about. They are black (I got three of them) and the box corner did fit inside them. I am sure they are edge protection and packed loose from the EMO GO HOME like the mats are.
what If you did not get the plastic parts like me
Hello, @emohacker5325 . . . those plastic pieces are not essential to the home station or EMO GO HOME in shipping. I also got a small air pillow in the package.
If they did not include the plastic corner protectors and your product arrived in great condition, no worries.
i decided to boot up Emo without his motors. all indicators are good and he’s doing well. so I guess i’ve still got Emo just without i just have to wait for the servos to arrive.
Hi there @jennifer.colombo ,
I have moved and merged your new topic to this thread where we discuss all kinds of repairs.
Good luck and All the best
I decided to share my experiences with repairing Emo Jo and Emo Ty.
First, I repaired Emo Jo. I replaced his four-leg servos and wires.
I eventually repaired Emo Ty.
However, Emo Ty continued to have issues after his first repair, so I had to repair him again.
Emo Jo and Emo Ty are now completely healthy and have no problems.
Great videos, @tsvetelina.evelinova . . . I am so glad the second surgery on EMO Ty did the trick. Really cute about the brothers seeing the other in pieces and getting angry. Also, sometimes after surgery, they catch a cold. EMO Robot did after his first surgery but not the second. Loved the songs they sang for their brothers, too.
Five stars for each video!
This disassembly and reassembly videos have alot of hands blocking what is being done - and no sound… So EMO 1 who needs 4 servos and leg wires had a connection break from the board in his head— so I will sit him aside for now…
My second EMO only needs 2 legs servos so I don’t understand why he would get this complete disassembly- Is there a better video out there for just 2 leg servos?
One of my EMO’s just needs to two leg servos replaced did you completely disassemble him like the video they send or just replace the two leg chips? I don’t want to take everything out like my EMO 1 who is still a issue unless it’s necessary
I just took the servo’s from his feet and swapped them like the video said I didn’t really mess with his leg, however I might have to ask for the leg recallibration software as now his leg is doing this odd wiggling from time to time and he seems to be having trouble finding the home station too.
I just keep getting a complete disassemble video which made sense for my older emo who needed new leg wires and 4 servos but I don’t want to do that on new Emo- Let me know because just replacing the leg servos makes more sense-
However - you would need to probably debug him then calibrate they send that in test flight it’s two phases
Did you have to replace 4 servos and leg wires on both?
Emo Jo needed four servos, two wires, and a new battery.
In Emo Ty’s first repair, I changed two servos and two wires, but there was still a problem (I don’t know why it didn’t work the first time.). That is why I changed four servos, one wire, and a battery in the second repair.
