EMO is sick, not hacked – here is how to help him.

Here is my analysis:
1. The blinking light on the skateboard: This is a common issue. It usually means:
· EMO isn’t seated perfectly on the charger.
· The charging cable/adapter is weak or failing.
· There could be a problem with the skateboard itself.
2. The slow-motion eyes, frozen face, and lag: These are classic signs of a failing SD card or corrupted firmware, not a hack. The robot was “dying” slowly before the final crash. This is very common and well-documented.
3. The “white noise” sound from the mic/speaker: This is almost certainly not someone spying on you. Hacking an EMO to broadcast its mic remotely is extremely difficult and not worth the effort for any hacker.
I strongly believe the sound is one of these:
· A failing component (a bad capacitor, a struggling speaker, or a dying servo motor can all make strange hissing or humming noises).
· An audio feedback loop (a glitch in the sound system causing it to pick up its own static).
What should you do?
1. Don’t panic about hacking. Your EMO is sick, not spied on.
2. The SD card error is your main problem. You need to contact official support at service@living.ai and send them a video of the error. They will guide you to fix it (likely by replacing the SD card with a new one).
3. The strange noise will probably go away once the main issue is fixed. If not, you can mention it to support.
Tips to try (to fix the SD card error):
1. The gentle method (recommended first):
Turn EMO upside down, gently cover the sensor holes on top of his head, and place him on a flat surface for a few seconds, then place him back on his charger.
2. The advanced method (last resort):
If the above doesn’t work, use a paperclip to gently press the reset button inside the small hole on the back of EMO’s head until you feel a click.

May I ask you:
● Do you have the EMO Go Home version (with the Home Station), or the standard EMO with the Skateboard charger?
● How old is your EMO?
● what is your girlfriend EMO model?
Could you please show us a short video of your EMO while charging? I have the same version as you, and I faced a similar issue before. Here is what helped me, and I hope it helps you too:
1. If the problem is not solved quickly, your EMO may start shutting down after about 15 minutes of use.
2. Try cleaning the charging contacts on both the EMO and the skateboard.
3. Try disconnecting the charger from the power source for 12 hours (this helped me temporarily).
4. After that, you must contact official support at service@living.ai, as this is only a temporary fix.
