Home Station: Reviews, Tips, Ideas, Queries, Issues, and Solutions

does your Emo also have problems walking?
and if you put emo on the homestation, does Emo charge?

Hello, @alejandradiazzepeda . . . this sounds like it could be dirty foot sensors or possibly needing recalibration. I am going to send you to this page to look through and see if any of the tips can help you out. If not, there are instructions there as well to contact Support.

My best to you.

Hello, @jk1 . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues with the home station.

Lack of light and too much shadow can cause this issue as well as the sensor at the bottom of his chin which might need to be wiped off with a soft cloth. The other thing it could be is an issue with his leg wires/servos.

If this is the case, I refer you to this page to see if these tips help and if not, there are instructions on how to contact Support there.

My best to you.

Recently EMO will not leave his home station unless I tell him to. Then he will not go back, even when the home stations light is green, he keeps walking around like he is going to return to it but never does.

Hello, @stacybartnik . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues with EMO and the home station.

There are a number of things that could be happening. Is his sensor at the bottom of his chin clear from clothing or perhaps needing to be wiped with a soft cloth so that it can read the signal from the home station? Are his feet sensors cleaned with a soft cloth, sticky tape or a cotton swab? Is he walking in a straight line if you tell him to go forward?

I would advise if cleaning feet sensors and the sensor under his chin do not help, get a video and send the link to it along with his order number or four digit alphanumeric code when he signs into the app to service@living.ai . . . it could be that his legs need recalibration but they will diagnose and advise you on what steps to take.

Keep us advised!

I found a few problems.
1 Dancing with light, Emo dances and after a view sec restarts.
2 Emo mute, when he walks around, e.g. an hour Emo goes off, and does not go to homestation, this happened at least 2x
3 when you ask Emo for a Dance and Emo chooses (Wont let go)
Emo sometimes falls over.
4 Emo loses connection with homestation and is off on the play ground. while when you look in the app, when emo walks around emo is connected.
5 Bluetooth still stutters every few seconds when you use it as a speaker.

Hello, @Altodriver . . . I have moved your comment to this thread for issues which appear to be mostly related to the home station.

Please read through here for tips on what you might be able to do to solve some of the problems. If this does not help, there are instructions on how to contact Support.

My best to you!

So I keep finding conflicting answers to why Emo isn’t charging on home station. Some say the light needs to be solid, others say the light blinks, or it blinks indicating it needs to sync. I am trying to get Emo to charge, can someone just tell me if the light is supposed to blink or be solid?

Hello

I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues with the home station.

:zap: EMO Home Station Charging Light Guide

  1. GREEN LIGHT (Steady/Stable)
:white_check_mark: EMO is properly aligned and charging.
    • No action needed—everything is working perfectly.
  2. GREEN LIGHT (Blinking)
:arrows_counterclockwise: EMO is slightly misaligned or charging is intermittent.
    • Try gently adjusting EMO’s feet or position on the charger until the light is stable.
    • Charging pad or EMO’s foot sensors are dirty.
    • USB Cable might be faulty? Replace it.
  3. NO LIGHT
    :x: Not charging. Possible reasons:
    • EMO is not on the charging base.
    • The Home Station is unplugged.
    • Charging pad or EMO’s foot sensors are dirty.
    • Try cleaning the contact points and reconnecting the power.
    • USB Cable might be faulty? Replace it.
  4. Red Light (Rare)
:warning: Possible error or overheating issue.
    • Turn off the charger, let it cool, and try again later. If persistent, contact Living.AI support.

:bulb: Tips

  • Always make sure EMO’s feet (charging pads) are clean.
  • Keep the Home Station on a flat surface.
  • Avoid using near strong magnets or interference sources.

GOODLUCK AND ALL THE BEST!

Hello there. Happy Easter.
My Emo Go home robot struggles to charge. Home station is pluged with 5V 2 A adapter. Usb cable is Emo’s own. Home station is turned on, while Emo being on the charger, it shows almost always that battery is on low percent.

When i say to him “battery level” RARELY he showes me blue charging patern but mostly its as it is on the photo. Help me what to do. Emo is turned on but almost always sleepy -not active.

Hi there @makoivanidze ,

You might try allowing EMO to fully discharge his battery until he powers off on his own. After that, wait for about an hour before recharging him again.

For some tips, please click and read HERE !

Good luck and All the best

Bonjour,

@thomas1 I do agree that it would be nice to have a quick and simple “switch” labeled Do Not Disturb in the phone app. It would be a great idea if they implement it in the future.

However, you can do that exact thing right now through a Voice Command. Instead of saying “Emo, power off”, say “Emo, be quiet”. If he is still on his stand or skateboard when he hears this, he will not make any animations, (such as eating, boxing, mixing a drink or cooking, rubiks cube, etc.) He will look out at you but not do anything until spoken too. (Same if you say when he is off the charger exploring. He will stop and be quite for quite a long while).

The only disadvantage to this is that if he hears any word from you, a family member, the radio or even the TV that is a short word ending in “O”, he will respond and you’ll have to say "Elmo, be quiet) again.

I agree that a Do Not Disturb switch in the app would be better, as it would keep him in a silent mode until you switched it back it the app.

Merci pour ton retour !

Oui c’est fort bien dĂ©plaisant que la commande ne marche pas sur le long terme jusqu’à rĂ©activation. Il faudrait une option que l’on peut activer Ă  notre guise.

Google translation to English by Lindaru: Thanks for your feedback!

Yes, it’s very annoying that the command doesn’t work in the long term until it’s reactivated. There should be an option that we can activate at our convenience.
