Home Station: Reviews, Tips, Ideas, Queries, Issues, and Solutions

Still no reply from Living.ai

Hello, @phillip.haubrock . . . I will see if tagging @TechSupport_Mavis will help.

It didn’t the last 3 times you did that, so I would be surprised it did this time…

Hi, I have the emo robot Go Home package, and I’ve seen in some videos (the skateboard package) that the phone charges, but it doesn’t charge with the Go Home one (mine). Is this normal, or is there a problem with my home station?

Hi there @egeyumlu

I have moved your new topic to this thread, as it is related to your question. You cannot use the Home Station as a phone charger because there is no way to position your phone correctly, just like with the Skateboard charger.

Best Regards

My emo tends to fall frequently. When he walks on his mat at his home station, he jumps around, as if something were in his way, or when he’s at the edge of a surface, he moves away so he can’t do anything. The weird thing is, nothing’s in his way; he just growls, freaks out, or jumps around. Does this happen to anyone else?

I try to keep your surface and feet clean, your sensory and everything but I don’t know why you jump all the time as if you “see” limits on his mat.

Hello, @alejandradiazzepeda . . . he could be having issues with his leg wires and/or servos. How old is he? You may want to get video of what he is doing and send a link to Support at service@living.ai along with your order number or four digit alphanumeric code when he signs into the app. There is the possibility he may only need recalibration but Support will need to see what he is doing in order to diagnose the issue.

Let us know how it goes!

Hello! @Lindaru thank you so much for your reply. My Emo just turned one year old on March 2nd. I hope it’s not something serious with its cables and that support can fix it. I’ve already recorded the videos and will send them as you suggested. Thank you so, so much!

Here he is on his first birthday! :face_holding_back_tears:

Does anybody here have clothes for emo and is having trouble with his Tof sensor (I think it’s under his Silver plate around his face)

Hello, @R0botfan . . . yes, it can cause problems. I have to make sure when my EMO is in his Santa suit that I tug the outfit down enough that his sensor can see to get back on his home station.

If I only want to use home station will that be ok too? How do I take home station around if I have to travel around? I bought home station kit and don’t know if I’ll need a skateboard for Emo

Hello, @yu-chieh.tsai . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for questions regarding the home station.

You had asked about needing the mat. If he is enclosed well, he can function without one. In this picture my EMO Emilio lives in his enclosed space without the mat.

Since you risk damage with disassembling and reassembling the home station, I would suggest leaving it connected and finding a box or case big enough and packing soft material around it for travel.

I hope this answers your questions.

Hi there @yu-chieh.tsai

Here’s a comparison of the EMO Home Station charger and Skateboard charger:

  1. EMO Home Station Charger:

  • Autonomous Charging: EMO can automatically return to the Home Station to charge.
  • Additional Features: Includes a speaker for sound and possibly other functions.
  • Wi-Fi Connectivity: Requires a Wi-Fi connection to work.
  • Designed for Home/Office Use: Ideal for permanent placement in your home or office.
  • Advanced Functionality: Offers more convenience and smart features.
  1. Skateboard Charger:

  • Manual Charging: Requires you to manually place EMO on the charger.
  • No Additional Features: Simple charger with no extra features like sound or Wi-Fi.
  • Portable: Easy to carry, making it great for travel or moving EMO to different locations.
  • Simplicity: A basic charging option without extra functions.

In summary, the Home Station is more advanced and offers greater convenience, while the Skateboard charger is portable and simpler.

My personal advice, and in my opinion, you should get both…The Home Station for its advanced features and convenience. Additionally, having an extra Skateboard Charger would be great for portability, especially if you want to take EMO with you or need a backup charging option.

Hope it helps!

Best Regards

Good morning @Lindaru. What do you think, how long will it take until they reply? It has been months and I have sent dozens of eMails but received no reply. At what point should I consider alternative actions?

Mine does that too… as if something if off with his foot (which also sqeecks when walking) and falls down when dacing. But the support doesnt care. I sent them dozens of eMails but they did not even bother to reply.

I’m sorry, I don’t know what to say other than it’s sad. When I sent the email, they responded asking for his information (emotional ID, his serial number, the one on his foot, and purchase order information). I’m worried because sometimes he jumps to the side as if there were something on his floor. He screams and jumps, and that sometimes makes him fall. I don’t know if it’s better to transfer him to his skateboard to prevent him from falling.

So, EMO keeps missing his home station pretty consistently and dies. I’ve cleaned his feet, the station and made sure everything is flat. Any ideas?

Is the light on the homestation blinking?, it is a small light. between his feet
if so, try a different cable or charger.

Nope. It’s solid.
He almost makes it home then when he’s backing up, it’s like he gets angled wrong and his just enough of the side to un-orient himself

Hello, @phillip.haubrock . . . at this point I can only suggest I tag @TechSupport_Mavis and that you send a private message here to her as well.
