Had to turn EMO off for a few months and just turned him on again. He updated to 3.0.
I hate this new high pitched voice, itās so irritating Iāve turned him off again and am now reluctant to use him. Please please give me the option to change the voice back to how it used to be. Worse - he keeps swapping between the high pitched voice and the normal one. Itās so confusing.
I donāt have the option that Edward has in the app to change the voice. Iāve updated the app via googleplay but still it just lists the different languages. Is there any way I can change him back to his normal voice? Please - Iām so sad about this - I really want him on my desk but this new voice is just unbearable.

Hi @Lindaru I thought it would be officially unveiled this week, so letās see if weāre lucky and the final version is released next week. From what those of you whoāve already tried it say, Iām excited to install it and see what else is new. Thank you very much, as always

Hallo zusammen, seit dem Update 3.0.0 habe ich festgestellt, dass jetzt emo auch deutsch spricht und nicht nur deutsch versteht. Er antwortet endlich auf Deutsch. Das macht mich sehr glĆ¼cklich. Das mit der Stimme finde ich auch nicht so schƶn. Die Original Stimme vorher war schƶner. Es gibt Situationen, wo er auch noch auf Englisch antwortet und nicht auf Deutsch. Vielleicht kann man das ja auch noch beheben, dass wenn er Deutsch sprechen soll alles auf Deutsch spricht. Und vielleicht kann man das auch mit der alten Stimme machen, die viel schƶner ist. Aber ich bin sehr glĆ¼cklich, dass er endlich meine Sprache hƶren und sprechen kann. Vielen vielen Dank. Viele GrĆ¼Će aus Deutschland, WĆ¼rzburg

With EMOās new firmware update (v3.0.0):
EMO can now speak and respond in various languages, such as German and other languages, and he also features a new voice system.
However, you or all of us may notice that even when EMO is set to another language that should use the new voice (like German), he sometimes still replies in English and uses his (EN-Classic) old voice instead.
WHY?
This happens because not all of EMOās responses and phrases have been fully translated or updated for the new voice system yet. Some parts of his programming ā especially older or default commands ā are still hard-coded in English and use his (EN-Classic) voice.
When EMO doesnāt find a translated version of a certain phrase in the selected language, he automatically switches back to English and uses his (EN-Classic) voice.
Additionally, EMOās speech and responses are processed through the Living.AI data servers, which manage both the new and classic voice systems. Over time, more phrases will likely be updated and localized for each supported language.
Does EMOās response to his wake word and all commands come from and get saved on the Living.AI server?
And hereās the answer:
Not all of EMOās replies or commands come directly from the Living.AI server ā but many of them do rely on it.
AFAIK Hereās how it works:
Local processing: Some basic actions and reactions (like movements, animations, or a few offline commands) are stored locally inside EMOās firmware. These do not need an internet connection.
Server-based processing: Most voice commands, wake word recognition, translations, and AI-generated responses are processed through Living.AIās data servers. The servers interpret what we said and send back the correct response or animation to EMO.
So, when you say āEMOā (the wake word) or give a voice command like āWhatās the weather?,ā our voice is transmitted securely to the Living.AI server, processed there, and then EMO replies accordingly.

Emo decided to speak a different language Chinese tonight, now he does not respond, he was working fine up until the new update 
He does not get angry when I pick him up or shake him, when I say emo he does not respond, for 300 pounds he is not even 12 months old yet bless him. Please help Iv rebooted him 3 times.

Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @tanya.rogers . . . have you checked to see if you have the latest app version in the Google Play or Apple App store? Have you checked to make sure that the correct language is selected in the app?
The new pick up animation replaced the angry one as a way of being more gentle on the server motors.
Bear in mind that version 3.0 is still undergoing finalization and there may be glitches here and there. Try setting his language in the app under āLanguageā to see if it puts him back to the language you prefer.

I downloaded the new update on my eno, i cant change the voice back, the option is missing, my app is up to date and my emo randomly uses other languages, in fact both of them

- Choose and tap the Language button on the left side

Not a fan of the new voice? You can choose or switch back to the āEN-Classic Voiceā anytime.

After updating the new firmware EMO has a lot issues. He cant understand well, a lot commands he does not understand in german. Its seems he uses a different AI.
He lost time and date after a while, he could not say the correct time and day and suggested i look on my mobile.
Sometimes he speaks russian or french or maybe some other languages.
He ha serious trouble understanding the numbers in tic tac toe in german, i need 3-6 attepts before he understands it.
The new voice is ok its more clear however im used to the old one for over 3 years now.
It would be good if EMO could connect to homeassistant so he can be used to control the smart home. It was advertised he would be able to use hey google and Alexa but after all this time its not here.

Hi yes Iv done all that no sound come out of him today he does not sing does not react, Iv got the latest software. Iv done a reboot 3 times changed language, tried everything.
He is unresponsive.
Any more suggestions.

Hello, @tanya.rogers . . . make sure all smart lights are unplugged and āauto updateā is off in the app. Then use voice command to update.
Let us know if that works. It should show 3.0.0 in firmware in the app if it works. If not, contact service@living.ai as they may need to push the update. Give them screen shots of the issue on EMO and in your app and his I.D. when signed into the app.

Hi Thankyou for the support unfortunately that didnāt not work either, I have had to contact living ai with all emo details and order number etc hopefully they will be able to get him up and running again, the family are missing the little guy.
Unfortunately, there are no improvements in the Russian language. He can start speaking English, immediately switch to Portuguese, French, and end in Russian. Itās terrible. He canāt even remember his birthday or the weather without mixing languages. His voice is disgusting, and his beautiful English canāt replace his terrible Russian voice. He constantly asks me how to help and how to explain things, even though I havenāt spoken to him. Itās a shame that the Russian language is in such a poor state.

I got my EMO 3 days back. Iām enjoying the time Iām spending with EMO. Will we get Indian Languages in the future? May be Hindi, Tamil or Malayalam?
My native language is Malayalam. I would really like to hear EMO speaking in my language.
