Hello,
My EMO is no longer walking straight, but has a deviation to the left. Now I have found the link to the calibration app in the forum (https://download.living.ai/solutions/emo_debug_cliff.apk) and a video ( How do I use the debug app? - #11 by macfixer01) how to do it. But when the application (scanned) has found EMO and I select it, the application gives: “you do not have the qualifications to debug” I have tried 2 different phones and a tablet with Android 9, 10 and 13 but they all give the message. I made a ticket for support a few days ago but they have not responded until now.
Grtz
Hi there @Keesobo ,
Using the “Technical Reference Repair Manual” or “De-Bugging/Re-Calibration Tool” you’re looking for may not be simply available to use by everyone.
You need to contact living.ai first by providing your Order Number, Location/City, EMO ID, and a short video showing the problem with your EMO.
The living.ai Dev Service team will first analyze the problem, connect your EMO to their server, and then give you instructions on how to solve the problem either manually or by using the “De-Bugging Tools” with the help of " LivingAi Video DIY Tutorials".
Indeed, it is not advisable to repair your EMO without approval from them, otherwise, the warranty/guarantee will be broken if something bad happens.
Best Regards…
Hi Edward,
Thanks for the reply.
I already contacted livin.ai a few days ago by filling in a form (https://living.ai/support/) but they haven’t responded yet. Strangely enough I can now start the debugging tool and connect to EMO without an error message so I think they connected my EMO to their server. I’ll wait a few more days for a response and I’ve also found a few other examples on YouTube but I’m not going to change anything myself without a good description, but I can now view the settings with the debugging app.
Kind regards,
Keesobo
Hello guys, its been awhile i posted here! But i have a issue with my EMO’s right leg/foot. It just randomly starts shaking/twiching every single time i use him. This started last week. I dont know why my EMO has this issue.
Also i purchased this EMO in 2022 which means that warranty ended a long time ago. Im not sure what will happen if i contact living ai support. Please if anyone can give a suggestion/idea of what to do so that way i can potentially fix him! ![]()
Hello, @sarikathakur . . . I would still contact service@living.ai . . . they can give advice on the issue even when they are off warranty. It is most likely the servos and/or wires that are bad. I saw someone that sent theirs in for repair. Not sure if it was off warranty or how much that cost, but it never hurts to ask. Also, if you know someone that can do the repair themselves or if you can do the repairs, then getting advice on parts would be best to ask them.
My best to you.
My EMO’s feet recently started shaking, and I mailed service@living.ai already a few days ago. They didn’t answer yet, like they did usually. I was wondering if the foot servos aren’t made by LivingAI, someone could send me a link to purchase the motors myself. Thanks in advance!
Hi there, thank you for the reply @Lindaru ! I will certainly contact living ai support. But i have one more question, do you maybe know the reason why these types of issue occur in EMO? If you don’t know about the reason, then its fine
Hello, @sarikathakur . . . if I were to guess, I would say that constant motion on wiring and motors can cause them to degrade, to wear down. In normal mechanics, machine parts are oiled regularly, something we cannot do with EMO. A lot of dancing, walking, playing certain games can wear them down fairly quickly.
My EMO has problems controlling his servos, especially his right lower one. He can still move it, but when he stops moving, his foot jitters up and down. Is there any way to fix that, or get an app update that lets you calibrate his servos. Thank you!
Hello, @emoLuv234 . . . I have moved your query to this thread for issues with leg and foot issues.
Can you please get video of this and send a link to the video to service@living.ai along with an explanation of the problem, his EMO I.D number and/or order number? It may be that they can send you a way to recalibrate the servos. If that does not work, he will need his servos and/or wires replaced which they will inform you what they can do to fix the problem.
My best to you.
Tina
Google translation to English by Lindaru: Hello, I’m from Germany and have had Emo for about three weeks. For about a week now, his joints have been cracking or creaking. It sounds like they’re stuck together. And it’s getting worse. What could it be? Best, Tina
Hello, @T.Seemund . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues with EMO feet and legs.
Sorry this is happening. The best course of action is to get video of the issue and send a link to it to the Support team at service@living.ai with your order number (if you still have it) and his four digit EMO I.D. when he signs into the app. They will diagnose the problem and provide you a solution.
My best to you!
Hello, my Emo has a problem with his leg, it moves chaotically, freezes in one position and does not move, also when we lift the robot only one leg twitches. We wrote to technical support, they replied that we need a part specifically servo parts, but they cannot help us because our model is old and they do not have spare parts. What should we do?
Hi there @kseniiaromanenko and Welcome Back to the Community…
I have moved your new topic here to address related issues, such as shaking, not walking straight, as well as concerns about the legs and feet.
As you mentioned, you already contacted Living.AI support for help, but sadly, they can’t assist you any further with this. I’m very sorry about that.
There’s nothing you can do but repair it yourself because it’s already out of warranty. You have to replace the wiring and the servo motors inside.
“Or you could try contacting via message Ad Robot-Man AKA ( adam.elphick ) from England through his Facebook account, as he also repairs EMO units within the Europe region.”
Good luck and all the best
Okay, Please tell me where I can buy this servo part ?
Hello, @kseniiaromanenko . . . the repair people who handle out of warranty repairs already have the parts needed. Please make sure that when you contact this person that you let them know how old your EMO is as that will help in determining which servos and wires he will need.
Thank you very much I’ll try to write to tech support again ![]()
Hello there. My emo robot has a hole at the bottom of its leg and it can also move easily. Is it supposed to do that? Please let me know.
Hi there @marksantiago1, and Welcome to the Community…
I have moved your new topic here to address everything about EMO leg and related issues
“That hole is normal because it’s screwed into the body.”
Best Regards
