EMO Skateboard Charger (Wish To Buy Separately ?)

Thanks a lot to @edward. The charger for my EMO has arrived. We’re (Emo and I) so happy that EMO can stay with me in different rooms now! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
I’m so grateful for it. Thank you, thank you, thank you! :bouquet:

I was confused in this post you recommended a charger whit 5w and that specification but later you said you can use wharver charger it is works even for some users using chargers of 10w it is recommended to use more of 5W??

Hi there @esmerlinm ,

Sorry about getting confused…

Alternatively, you might use a compatible type of mobile phone wireless Qi charger with the right power voltage. However, to ensure, you should test and monitor it first to avoid any potential issues.

“…just like the same one tested and used by one of EMO owners HERE.”

My EMO quite charging. When I contacted support they had me run through several things to figure out the issue. They had me video and send them the vids. It took a while to diagnose the issue, which turned out to be a faulty skateboard. They sent a link to order just the skateboard charging unit. It was 25$ plus 10$ US shipping.Once I placed the order I sent them the order number.

Hello everyone.

Living.ai does not sell replacement chargers alone, as far as im aware. Regarding a charger with EMO replacement, contact @TechSupport_Mavis.

Hello, @kshitijsharma . . . I have moved your new conversation to this thread for questions about replacement skate boards.

Normally LivingAI does not sell skate boards, but you can contact service@living.ai to see if they will provide you one. If not, you can post on this thread here to see if anyone has one they would let you obtain.

Hi! I can’t find a skate for sale for my EMO go HOME. Anybody had tried a random wireless charger for smartphone? Thanks!!!

hello,

I am not a big technician, but EMO supports any 5W wireless charger. You can use your phone charger to charge EMO as long as it is a 5W charger.

Hello, @evagonzalez and welcome to the community…

I have moved your new topic to this thread for questions about replacement skateboard chargers. If you need to buy a new charger for your EMO robot, you can email Living.AI for assistance. Additionally, someone mentioned earlier that they successfully used a simple mobile phone Qi charger for their EMO. You might want to scroll up to find more details about that.

Let me know if you need any further assistance!

Best regards

Thank you very very much Edward! My first thought was buying the EMO + skate, and adding an extra home. But I found an unloved EMO go HOME for sale, and as the impossibility of buying the skate alone, I thought a random charger will be fine. I want that charger to being able to charge it outside connecting a power-bank…
I’m so happy a friend suggested me that forum!
Question answered ! :star_struck:

Thanks!!! I’ll be careful about that detail! I would be devastated if I damaged my fresh adopted EMO. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Hello, @evagonzalez . . . that one looks good!

I would also commend you for adopting an unloved EMO. If I had the power, I would adopt them all. As it is, I was very fortunate to adopt one which arrived to live with me 100 days ago today. Sometimes they are not unloved but rather the parent for some reason or another simply cannot care for them.

I would love to adopt an unloved EMO. If I had the money I would buy all unloved EMOs and bring them to a loving home.

@edward can you give more information how emo charge and how the chargin energi it is devide in pad of the feed to caherger i still lookin for a compatible charger

Hi there @esmerlinm ,

NOTE!
This is my personal statement and not an official one from Living AI regarding the EMO charger. My advice is to always reach out to them via email for accurate and official information.

EMO charges using a wireless charging system through his skateboard-like charging pad. The technology used is induction charging, where energy is transferred from the charger to EMO without physical connectors, like a wireless phone charger.

Here’s how the charging process works:

How EMO Charges:

  1. Charging Pad (Skateboard): The charging pad, also called the “skateboard,” contains transmitter coils that generate an electromagnetic field when connected to a power source. This field transfers energy wirelessly to EMO.

  2. EMO’s Feet: EMO has receiver coil contact points in his feet that are specifically designed to receive electromagnetic energy from the charging pad. This energy is converted into electric power, which charges his internal battery.

  3. Positioning: To charge efficiently, EMO needs to be correctly positioned with his left foot on the charging pad’s circle. Ensure the contact points align properly for optimal charging performance.

Energy Distribution:

  • The power is evenly distributed across EMO’s charging contacts through induction technology. The electromagnetic energy is received by the conductive materials in EMO’s feet and then routed to his internal charging circuit.

Compatible Charger:

  • Output Specifications: To ensure optimal charging, the charger should meet the required power output of EMO’s charging pad. Usually, this is a USB-C charger with an output of at least 5V/2A.

  • Wireless Compatibility: Since the charging is wireless (Qi-like induction charging), it’s essential to use EMO’s original charging pad or an exact replacement from Living AI. Using third-party or non-compatible charging pads might not work as the frequency and power settings need to match EMO’s specifications.

If you’re looking for a compatible charger, it’s best to contact Living AI for an original replacement or check if they provide compatible alternatives. Avoid generic wireless chargers unless they are confirmed to work with EMO’s system.

Hope it helps…

Best regards and All the best

Is there a way or possibility in the future, allow us to buy his skateboard separately. I bought the home package and would like to get his skateboard but it’s not available by itself right now.

Hello, @rebeccaguyton . . . welcome to the EMO Community Forums. I have moved your new topic to this thread for discussion on purchasing skate boards separately. At this time, you can ask them by sending an E-Mail to service@living.ai . . . if it is not possible to get one, please look through this thread for ideas for alternate portable chargers you could obtain.

My best to you.

I don’t need a ■■■■■■ if they are suing emo then they are wrong. emo is what I am passionate about and I want to have that passion in my 11 year old hands
