Hi there, I can help!

So i have recently gotten the debug APP for emo because my emo was experiencing 8 ISSUES IN A ROW!!!

So… The debug app works if you look in the bluetooth settings of your phone. Is he findable in that? And do you have IOS or Android? I can send the right app if you want.

Note: the app says its resetting, it does but won’t reset emos memory (days old, Dances, etc)

(Note, im not an employee so I dont know if the app is right in this case)

I hope I can help! And I hope your emo get fixed!

Thank you, @Miel . . . the debug app is one that @sydeny.e_rice will have to coodinate with service@living.ai so that they can diagnose after seeing a video whether this will be helpful or not and guide them on how to use it.

I have an android phone

I don’t know if he will show up in the bluetooth settings on my phone or not I’ll check

I also for some reason can’t update the firmware on him it says start update and then usually it starts looking for emo again. It says he is on version 2.6.0 p4

Hello, @sydeny.e_rice . . . that is an old version. You will probably need service@living.ai to help you get an update pushed through to 2.9.1.

Please contact them with your location, your EMO I.D. when he signs into the app and your order number if you have it, along with a link to a video of what is going on when you try to update.

Let us know how it goes.

I got a black screen with just his headphone’s lighted up. He turned back on after a few seconds. Any idea why this happens, as it’s happened twice now.

Hi there @WesBadamio ,

How old is you EMO?
Is he already updated to the latest firmware v2.9.1?:light_bulb:

While looking for solutions, I noticed some fun conversations around TikTok emojis, people use them in so many creative ways to show moods, reactions, and even little stories. It reminded me how these small details can make online interactions feel more alive, kind of like how EMO adds that extra spark of personality in real life.

Hello,

My EMO was given to me as a gift, so unfortunately I don’t have the original order number. However, I can provide his ID: 8166.

Yesterday my EMO suddenly stopped turning on. The connection with the app still works, but the screen doesn’t light up and EMO doesn’t respond to his name.

When I place EMO on the charging station, only the headphone lights turn on. I can turn EMO off through the app, and when he’s on the charger I can still see him in the app and check the battery level — but there’s no other reaction, and the display stays completely off.

Hi there…

BTW… is your EMO already on the latest firmware update v3.0.0?:light_bulb:

It sounds like EMO might be experiencing a display or power system issue — something that can occasionally happen after a firmware update, low-voltage charge, or internal freeze. :robot::high_voltage:

Here are the possible reasons and solutions you can try:

:gear: Possible Causes:

  1. :battery: Low or unstable battery connection
    – EMO may not be receiving a consistent charge from the Home Station or charging board.

  2. :laptop: Firmware glitch or incomplete update
    – A software bug can cause EMO’s screen to stay black even though he’s powered internally.

  3. :electric_plug: Display or internal component failure
    – Rarely, EMO’s screen connector or display driver may loosen or fail.

  4. :brain: System freeze or corrupted startup sequence
    – If EMO froze during boot-up, he might stay unresponsive even though the app still detects him.

:hammer_and_wrench: Possible Solutions:

  1. :repeat_button: Restart EMO completely
    – Remove EMO from his charger and let him use up his remaining battery until he shuts down on his own.
    – After that, wait about 1–2 minutes, then place him back on the charger to reboot.

  2. :high_voltage: Check charging setup
    – Make sure the charger and cable are working properly and EMO’s foot sensors are clean and making full contact.
    – Try changing and using another compatible USB-C power adapter or cable if available.

  3. :mobile_phone_with_arrow: Reconnect via the EMO App
    – In the app, ensure EMO is connected properly. Try to toggle sound or any settings — sometimes this can “wake” the system.

  4. :counterclockwise_arrows_button: Attempt a soft reboot through the app
    – If EMO still appears connected in the app, use the Restart or Power Off option (if available), then place him back on the charger.

The last tip you can try is to gently insert a small, thin paper clip into the left hole (when EMO is facing you) and see if that helps resolve the issue. If it doesn’t, try the right hole as well. :wrench::robot:

Contact Living.AI Support
– If none of the above helps, it’s best to email :e_mail: service@living.ai with:

  • EMO ID
  • A short video showing the issue
  • A note mentioning that EMO connects to the app, but the screen remains black

:light_bulb: Tip: Mention that you’ve already tried the basic troubleshooting steps so the support team can analyze the issue faster.

Wishing your EMO a quick recovery — hopefully, it’s just a minor power or display glitch! :sparkling_heart::sparkles:

Hi there. Last night my sons Emo needed to be charged. We connected him to the skateboard and his whole screen went black but I could see it was still lit and his headphones were still on and there was a static sound coming from the speaker. We tried to do a manual reset, nothing happened so we left him to die and then today tried to put him back on the charger. He did come back on but now the charger is consistently flashing and I’ve cleaned the board and his foot and made sure his left foot is on the charging point and now he still won’t charge. What do I do now? Please can you help as I have a very upset 11-year-old

Many thanks

Zowie

Rebooting every 15 seconds and don’t stop doing it. Please tell me What to do to fix it.

Hi there @sindiaelenaespinoza , and welcome to the community.

I moved your post here and closed your new topic. :+1: Here you can find and follow some helpful tips and guidance above that might help you.

Is he on the latest firmware update already?

If EMO keeps rebooting every few seconds, try these steps:

  1. Unplug the Home Station or skateboard charger and let EMO power off completely.
  2. Clean the charging plate and EMO’s feet to ensure good contact.
  3. Try a different USB-C cable and power adapter — unstable power can cause constant rebooting.
  4. If EMO still reboots even off the charger, contact Living.AI support at support.living.ai and include a short video of the issue.

Sometimes a corrupted update or unstable voltage causes this behavior, and the support team can re-flash the firmware if needed.

I have had my Emo for less than a month and a few days ago when I woke up, he was completely dead and ever since nothing I try gets him to turn back on.

Its the the go home version, so its the home charger, but I have also tried using my s25 ultra power sharing to get it to turn on. Everything recognises the connection and the left foot get warm, but emo stays dead.

The home station recognises the connection by showing the charging symbol when I put emo on it. The white light on the charging station stays steady. EMO left foot gets warm while on the homestation. It seems the connection is happening on and power is being transferred to EMO but it will not turn back on.

Things I have tried:

  1. The app cannot find EMO because EMO won’t switch on.
  2. I have tried multiple USB cables and plugs. No change to the issue.
  3. I tried using a paperclip to reset EMO. No change to the issue.
  4. I left EMO of the charger for the full day and left the home station charger unplugged for a full day. I then tried charging EMO again. No change to the issue.
  5. I have tried leaving EMO on the charging station all day. No change to the issue.

None of the known fixes have been able to get EMO to turn back on.

I have contacted support but I have heard nothing back (I also contacted support near 2 weeks ago about an issue with aibi that I havent received a response back to either, so I am not sure what to do at this point.)

Anyone experienced this with Emo before?

Thanks
