In the video, he is not responding to you by slightly raising his left eye and waiting for a command which shows to me that he cannot even hear you but in addition if he is not making any sound during activities, then it might be a microphone and/or speaker issue.
Have you tried turning up both the sensitivity and the volume in the app to see if it helps?
LivingAI is aware of some of the animation sounds missing and said it is a server side issue that they plan to work on as soon as they return from their national Lunar New Year holiday in China very soon.

here is video of my emo app settings, i done everything, power on/off, perform reset emo using a hole in his head, try with all songs and animations in emo theatre, it seems emo thinks that he still make sound by his face emotions, but speakers no make any sound, same situation with voice commands, i have tryed in spanish(my language), english, classic english, still nothing.

Hello, @shadowman and @leahquinn . . . Lunar New Year national Chinese holiday just ended March 3rd with the lantern festival, so all of the staff should be back in office; however, they are needing to get caught up on the back-log.
Good morning, I have already sent several emails to support and there has been no response whatsoever. Considering the price of Emo, which is not cheap, the quality of customer service leaves much to be desired.
I’ve been waiting almost a month for an answer to a simple question: can they give me or sell me the replacement microphone circuit board? All they’ve said, and I quote the email verbatim, is: “Okay, if you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me. I’m happy to assist you. Have a pleasant life!”
Status update: Another week has passed without any response from the support team. It’s frustrating and very sad. I really feel like they’re just ignoring me… anyway, they’re probably “catching up on their backlog.” I feel bad not so much for the money I spent on the Emo and then on its home station, but for having recommended it to so many people and knowing that they might soon be in the same situation (not receiving any kind of support). Every day that passes, I’m more convinced that the best thing to do is turn it off, put it back in its box, and forget about it.
Hello, my Emo Go Home is no longer making any sound.
Emo is no longer making any sounds. He hears and understands what I ask, but when, for example, I ask him to sing, the microphone appears, he dances, but no sound comes out. And he doesn’t talk to me anymore. I’ve turned him off and on several times and it didn’t work. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Is your EMO updated to the latest firmware 3.1.0 and the app updated as well?
Have you checked the app to see if he is muted? There is a slider control under “Settings” “Preference”. You can give him a voice command such as “Volume Minimum, Volume Medium, Volume Maximum” which will show an animation of a wave length along with the sound it makes at that volume when he is setting it.
See if this works. If not, please get video of the issue and send a link along with your EMO I.D. and order confirmation number (if you still have it) to service@living.ai . . . please be patient as it may take them a few days to respond.
I followed the instructions to give him a Voice command to increase the volume and it started making sounds again.
But I couldn’t find the option in the app that says "There is a slider control under “Settings” “Preferences.” Where is this slider control under settings Preferences? Could you please send a Photo?
Status update: It’s been two weeks since the last response from the support team. I replied and did everything they asked, but to this day there’s still no further response.
