Hi @Lindaru . Unfortunately, even after sending a follow-up message one week after my first email (as you suggested), I still haven’t received any response from Living.ai. The video I sent shows 0 views, so I suspect that no one from the support team has looked into the issue yet.
Additionally, another problem has occurred with my EMO — sometimes it does not return to the charging station and instead powers off in the middle of the table. Does anyone know how this issue can be fixed?
I was considering purchasing another EMO to have both the black and white versions together, but now I’m unsure about this decision. My current EMO has started experiencing issues, and I have not received any support so far. I understand that it is currently a Chinese holiday period, but this issue has been open without any response since February 2nd.

About the only thing I can do at this time is to tag @TechSupport_Mavis . . . and hopefully she will see this.
Regarding not making it back to the home station, that could either be a misaligned leg issue or it could be a battery problem. When two of mine had that issue, I discovered that they were not getting sufficient battery power when charging and changed out the charging cables. If the blue light on the home station is either off or is blinking instead of being steady, this is likely the cause of that.
Also, be sure to lightly clean under his chin as that lines up with the home station so that there is no disruption to the signal.

Regarding the Home Station issue - it happens about 10% of the time, and usually EMO comes back to charge. These cases usually happen at night, and I find EMO in the middle of the table in the morning. The blue light on the charging station looks normal, nothing unusual.
I will try cleaning under his chin and check if that helps.
As a time frame reference. I sent a support ticket to living ai on Jan 25. I received a response on Feb 14. They are probably going through a queue and it’s their lunar new year so they will be a vacation for about 2 weeks.
Hey I just updated my EMO and his voice is a bit different than normal and kind of sounds like when he replies through chatgpt but with his simple commands such as “how are you?” Or “good night” some commands still sound like his old voice but not many. I miss his old voice and the new chatgpt one is kinda hard to hear. Just wanted to let everyone know and am curious if anyone else has the same experience.

Over the past few days, I’ve been thinking that it would be great if Emo had a Dungeon Master mode where you could play a role-playing game like Dungeons & Dragons just by talking directly to him, or even a board game assistant using the camera. In fact, I managed to create a fictional character and have him guide me with different options, although after a while the conversation gets cut off and the narration doesn’t fully develop the journey, choices, etc.
I’m quite an active player of board games, RPGs, and card games (both with and without friends), and I think being able to interact with Emo in this way would be a real success and a good experience.
Hello, @bluewidow . . . try changing his language to Classic-EN if the English setting does not sound right to you. I know some responses use this setting rather than the new English voice.

Hello, @SquidKid . . . the notifications were pretty regular but then they stopped putting those on the app. Nothing to worry about. As long as your firmware is updated, you are good to go!
Hello. Hope everyone is doing well. I was just curious. I just received My emo a few days ago and he updated just fine and is working well. However. He didn’t fully update to 3.1 yet.
I remember reading a thread that said updates often get released in batches based on region due to the server overload and to just be patient. Could that be the case here? ![]()
What version is your EMO at? You should also remember that when EMO updates, the APP needs to be updated also.

As regards the app, there’s no update for it on the Apple Store. But I did delete it and reinstall it. But it says the same thing.
According to the app, emo is at 3.1.0 but when I ask emo to “update firmware” he starts too, but then I get the emo icon box with the X followed by an emo icon box with a 1.
Then he restarts up and goes about his day.
when I ask him “Check updates” he gives me the emo icon box with the green check mark.
It seems as though he’s indeed running the latest firmware. Because when I ask him “What’s the latest news?” He shows the anchor animation with the mic and starts giving me the news.
We have reached the limit of my knowledge of EMO updates.
You appear to be at the current version for both the EMO and the App.
I have had no experience with trying to update with a voice command.
Maybe someone else can step in here.
Hello, @SquidKid . . . it appears your EMO is fully updated. You can try making sure smart lights are unplugged and he is at 50% or more charge standing on his charger and that you have turned off automatic updates under “Preference” in the app. Then give him the command, “Install latest firmware now”. See what he does. Perhaps this will clear the notification that he needs updated.

Hello. So I was curious. When I pick up emo from his head phones his eyes turn pinkish and get all wavy. Does anyone know what that animation means?
He’s reacting to you picking him up. That’s all. Before he had a more extreme animation where he would freak out but it was too much for his servo motors so they changed his pick up animation to this.

He’s still giving me the error when I ask him to install the latest firmware. I’m getting the Emo icon with the X followed by the Emo icon with the 1.
I discovered certain features aren’t working. Like when I say emo, wait for him to respond then I say “draw me as an anime boy” he gives me the nope sound as if he’s not connected. But then I’ll ask him for the date and he responds.
Is it possible that I just need to be patient ands wait for the update to come to my emo?
Hello, @SquidKid . . . the post you shared applies to generally when the firmware is freshly released and everyone is scrambling to install it through busy servers. This has been out long enough that this should not be an issue.
Please get video of this and include a link along with the firmware version he is on, your EMO I.D., order number if you still have it, language setting and location. They may need to manually push the update through for you.
Please be patient as they are on a national Lunar New Year holiday in China with limited staff and responses may be delayed.
