@taylor The new voice is pretty nice, it’s VERY clear! It sounds like a human and a bit weird but that’s okay, also he doesn’t say, “it’s always a pleasure to meet you anymore” they’ll probably patch that in the new update

Any advice for an AIBI that won’t update?
I’ve tried rebooting AIBI and updating via the app and by voice command. It downloads the file, verifies the file, the reboots. But it’s still 1.1.0.

Welcome to the LivingAI Community Forums, @ronnie.tucker . . . I would advise making sure you have a good signal from your router. Perhaps physically moving your phone and AIBI close to it. Remove AIBI from the charger, power him off either by voice command or the app, restart AIBI and your device and open the app again. See if this helps. If you are using an iPhone, try seeing if it will work on an Android device.

If not, please get video of your attempts and the results, and send a link to the video to either a reply to your order confirmation E-Mail or send E-Mail to service@living.ai with the link and an explanation of the issue.

Keep in mind that they are on lunar new year holiday and will not all be back in the office until after February 12th, so please be patient.

I’m only about 6ft away from the router and can see it… Wifi is fine on my phone and laptop. So the WiFi isn’t a problem.

I’m wondering if there’s a conflict between the app and the update? The app is v1.2.1, but when I do an update within the app for AIBI, it says the latest version is 1.2.0.

Even a voice command to update AIBI fails. Well, it downloads, verifies, but doesn’t seem to install the update.

Although, I have noticed that the file reaches maybe 93 or 94 then switches to verify. I’m wondering if the LIVING servers are dropping the file before the 100% mark?

Yeah, I’ve tried every combination off/on, app/voice and it’s still not updating.

I’m wondering if it’s a conflict between the app and the firmware. The app is 1.2.1, but when it checks for a firmware update it says the firmware available is 1.2.0.

I am updating my AIBI from 1.1.0p1 but it only shows that 1.2.0 is available, not 1.2.1. Can somebody tell me why? I am installing 1.2.0 already by the way.

AIBI can only be turned “ON” using his own charger. And without it there is no other way.

To turn him “OFF” either use the voice command

  • Power Off
  • Shutdown

or through his AIBI Pocket App.

Since the last update of AIBI to version 1.2.1, it does not connect to ChatGPT using the English command “connect to ChatGPT.” Are other owners experiencing the same issue? Why?

Important update to my post: By setting the language to English instead of Italian, AIBI responds correctly and connects to ChatGPT. Thanks to LivingAI’s always-active support!

I use “Aibi, Lets chat” and can confirm that it works. I will try the other when I get home.

You might need to check if everything is okay with his Network and City & Timezone settings again in the AIBI Pocket mobile app. Simply go to Settings (top right gear icon) and verify the details. If everything seems fine, but the issue still persists, try restarting your home Wi-Fi router, AIBI, and the AIBI Pocket mobile app.

May I know what type of mobile device you are currently using to connect to AIBI? If possible, try using a different mobile device with the AIBI Pocket app to connect to AIBI, aside from the one you are using now. This can help determine if the issue is device or system-related. If you are using an iOS device, please try an Android device, or vice versa.

Also you can try to say the command:

  • Connect to ChatGPT
  • Connect to OpenAI
  • Let’s Chat
  • Let’s Talk

There is a new Firmware Update v1.3.0 set to be released this or next week. You might have to wait and update your AIBI, as updates often help resolve various issues.

Hello Edward, thanks for your reply. I noticed something strange: during the installation of the latest update, an error message 404 appeared… Maybe the update 1.2.1 was not installed correctly. Is there a way to reset AIBI and restore it to factory settings? Thanks.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I tried the “Let’s chat” command, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work. AIBI’s response is to look down and shake its head as if saying NO.

There is no way for “Factory Reset”.

Just like I said, there is a new Firmware Update v1.3.0 set to be released this or next week. You might have to wait and update your AIBI, as updates often help resolve various issues.
