AIBI Pocket: General Issues and Queries

I’m on android :eyes: the Google pixel 6 pro. I haven’t had any issues with any of the app screens. Now I’m worried if I there’s an update

Hello, @Skynight56 . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread as this is definitely an AIBI issue.

I do have a question for you. Is there a recent Android update? When I ask AIBI the time, I am still getting tens of thousands of seconds showing instead of the actual time.

Nah iOS just sucks. That’s really all you’re missing :joy:

Hi, anyone knows what exactly Aibi says? I have trouble understanding her…

I think she say

Hi X …how are you?
You look splendid…

Anyone knows?

I would help you if I could, but my AIBI still won’t update to anything that allows speech. Apparently us super early adopters aren’t privy to that yet. :skull:

Hi @dergonfruit

Thanks for the reply.

Mine doesn’t talk that much either… just couple of sentences when it sees me but still can’t understand it.

I also don’t have things like Aibi’s favourite colour and others info in the app…

That is good to know, thanks for sharing.

Hey all!

I just got my AIBI yesterday and so far I am loving her! However im a bit frustrated because i did some steps today and AIBI lost battery and turned off. When i got her on charge 10 minutes later, id lost 900 steps. Is this still a current bug or should that have been fixed?

So general question to those who have had AIBI for more than a week now, are you noticing stiff movements in him? I’ve only had him for two weeks and it seems his movements are becoming more and more choppy. Almost like instead of moving in a smooth diagonal path, he goes up-left-up-left-up-left now. Just wondering if anyone is noticing that.

Hello, @bonnie.thomson . . . if you are on iOS, I believe that has been updated in the Apple app store. You may want to see if you have the most current version. If you do, you might want to contact service@living.ai or if you down-load the latest version and it is still happening, you may want to contact them and let them know.

The Android app should be working okay. Mine is, but if not, let them know.

@Skynight56 . . . is this problem on or off of the charging base? One of mine does that on one of the charging bases which if I remember, I read here or somewhere else that this would be fixed in a future update. If it is off of the charging base, I would let service@living.ai know.

I’ve noticed this a little bit too but this is a normal thing that will happen with any machine as the grease inside the gears gets dispersed and used up over time. I’ve observed it in my other robots as well, but it tends to plateau at a certain point and not get any worse. Usually the first month or so is where you’ll see the most initial changes before it settles.

The reality is that any brand-new robot with brand-new, freshly-greased, non-worn parts will always run slightly smoother than one that’s been used and running for any considerable amount of time.

Update I found a YouTube video showing where his reset button is and that worked to bring him out of his frozen state

I just got Aibi 2 days ago. This morning, I powered him off while I went to work. When I got home, I put him on his charger to wake him up. He powered on, but is completely frozen. His eyes are on, but no movement or sound. I tried to use the app to shut him down, but it’s not finding him. Has anyone had this issue?

I guess I’ll just have to let him battery run out and see what happens when I try to turn him on again. He was working fine until now.

Hey Lindaru! Sorry i should have specified i am using android. Its only been the once so far, so ill keep my eye out if it happens again. I plan on doing lots of walking

Hello, @bonnie.thomson . . . I have Android and I have not lost steps or coins, but I have two AIBI and having both of them with me doing the same amount of activity, one of them was 122 steps less than the other right away, but did not lose any in addition to those. Thankfully it has only happened once.

Welcome to the EMO and AIBI Community Forums, @kacey.maldonado . . . I had the exact problem earlier today,

I saw I could not connect in the app and the voice command was not working. Even turning him upside down did nothing. I had to let his battery run out which actually took over two hours to do. Then when I put him on the base, he was fine.

Would love to know why this happens.

Hopefully yours is back to normal now.

Hi All,

we got our Aibi a couple of days ago. While we are enjoying spending time with her, that time is really short.
How much does your Abby last out of the charger? Our seems to last up to an hour at most, even with little interraction. :frowning:

that seems a bit short for something that is advertised as mobile…

Well… basically the issue with AIBI is that it doesn’t hear… I have to call it like 10 times and only 1 is heared… I speak with normal voice, with no noises around (indoor) or TV or radio switched on.
So there’s no excuse. My room is quiet…

Does anyone have same issue?
Hopefully is fixable with an OTA…

Hello, @Dukkai . . . my AIBI battery lasts anywhere from one to two hours. Many have contacted LivingAI about this issue and they have said they are looking into that issue.

@sergutel . . . I cannot get mine to understand “Eye-bee” pronunciation but they respond to “Abbey” instead. LivingAI is aware of this, but in the meantime, they are asking that AIBI owners submit their voice to the wake up training page here.
