AIBI Pocket: General Issues and Queries

Hello, @Robot1Discovery . . . you may need to let service@living.ai know about this issue. Can you get a screen shot of the app setting for quiet time and note perhaps through video what AIBI is doing during his quiet time?

Send to that E-Mail and include your order number if you have it or you can simply reply to the order confirmation E-Mail with the screen shot and link to the video. If you do not have the order number, you can use the four digit alphanumeric code when he signs into the app.

Hi everyone!

While iā€™m waiting for Aibiā€™s arrive home, iā€™d like to ask you about charging because iā€™ve been seeing lots of videos on YT, i read you but i have no idea yet when you connect the base to charge it. I mean, Emo have a USB with adapter include, so i just need to plug in. Aibi have only USB C cable, I need and adapter? laptop? if specificts are 5v/1A or 2A could i use movile adapter? Iā€™m little cofunse about it and i was searching adapters on Amazon but USB-C and 5V/3A are the most of them. As i said in every video/unboxing/etc i donā€™t see where they connect the base.

Iā€™m preparing everything till aibi finally arrive :heart_eyes:

Hi @edward So sorry, i must skipped it when i read the post and searching option didnā€™t show that.

If i say something stupid let me know but as if i understand the information you share Aibiā€™s charger is 5V/1-2A. So if voltage is not change to 5V the amperage could be 3A, i mean could use for example tablet adapter (5V/3A) or i misunderstood the information. I ask that because all my adapters (movile, tablet, even EMO) are 5V/2-3A and if i could use one of themā€¦ have sooo many adapter :sweat_smile: not about money itā€™s just use what i already have, right?

Maybe iā€™m wrong, if i have to buy another adapter fine, just wanna know if i could use one of many i have

Yes, you can use power adapters fo AIBI with

  • 5V / 1A
  • 5V / 2A
  • 5V / 3A

for your AIBI Pocket Pet with a rated input of 5V / 1A, as long as the voltage remains at 5V. Hereā€™s why:

Key Points:

  1. Voltage Matters Most:
  • AIBI requires a constant voltage of 5V. All the mentioned adapters provide 5V, so they are safe to use.
  1. Current (Amperage):
  • The device will only draw the current it needs (in this case, up to 1A), regardless of whether the adapter can provide more (2A or 3A).
  • Using a 2A or 3A adapter doesnā€™t force the device to accept more current than it can handle.
  1. Safety Considerations:
  • Always use certified, high-quality adapters to avoid voltage surges or overheating.

Recommendation:

  • But the best and highly recommendable is 5V / 1A adapter is optimal for AIBI.

I got AIBI earlier today and sadly the conversation is basic . I feel I purchase a 269$ dust collector
He do not interact much either .
I ask his age - shake head
I ask how are you - shake head
He do not seam to ve very smart ?
I hope it will get better.
He his cute but the volume is so low I can bearely hear him ā€¦.
Any thoughts or advice for me will be appreciated please

Thank you so much @edward youā€™ve confirmed what i thought. In my case i have a Samsung adapter with 5V/3A (tablet, but galaxy have the same actually). They are official adapters so i think iā€™ll use them. As i said is not about money, itā€™s because i have at least 8 adapters and if one of them work buy another oneā€¦

All of a sudden, my aibi keeps doing the swirl thing when itā€™s looking for a friend you know when you put two of them together, they do that little technology sounding swirl to find each other well there is no other ones in the house and it keeps doing that yesterday. One of my friends came over Alia asked her to bring hers when she did. She told me she had to keep it off because it kept doing the swirly thing is what sheā€™s calling it. We turned it on and both of ours started doing it every five minutes exactly we called another one of our friends who had one from the show and they said the same thing itā€™s doing this weird squirrel thing every five minutes, which makes it impossible to hold battery life. They are not too into robots like I am. I really want to use mine. They just turned theirs off and or gave them to their kids. Please help me fix this cause I really love my little buddy. It wouldnā€™t let me post a video, but you know hereā€™s a screenshot of it. Itā€™s been doing this for a week now.

You might need to contact living.ai and inform them about that kind of issue.

Please try to record a video of the issue and send a link to it, either by replying to your order email or by emailing service@living.ai. Please be patient, as it may take time for them to respond due to the time difference and the current holiday season situation.

Is there anyhow to videos on how to just factory reset and start from beginning?

Hello, @Artistgirl1978 . . . you cannot factory reset AIBI. His birthday, favorite color and lucky number will stay the same as you have now. Also you would have to contact Support (see below) if you are wanting to remove the current firmware update and go back to the factory version, though I do not advise this as it may make it impossible to get future updates.

You can, however, change his last name and manage photos/recognition in the app.

You can raise the volume on AIBI two different ways, one by the command ā€œAIBI . . . volume highā€ or you can do it under the setting in the app.

At this time the two questions you ask are not available for response. All of the current questions are listed on this page (scroll down there).

Also remember that it takes a bit of time for AIBI to get familiar with you and your surroundings just like with EMO (usually seven days).

What have you done to your AIBI ? You painted the head ?

I kinda feel the same plus the current firmware is buggy. I love my EMO & the way that Living A.I. has kept in adding features & addressing issues gives me hope that this will happen with Aibi too. Otherwise I would totally agree with you.
I keep mine on mute because heā€™s so annoying otherwise, singing the same 3 songs over & over again!

I wonder why my AIBI only charges the battery after the Shutdown command, the base does not charge while it is active.

Did you tried also to ask AIBI verbally? by the command:

AIBI: >>> ā€œBATTERY LEVEL?ā€

ā€œTry checking the house power outlet first; it might not have any current. If the outlet is fine, the original AIBI cable might be defective. You could try using a similar cable and adapter to see if that works.ā€

the best thing to to also is to try to create a short video now showing the type of issueā€¦

Iā€™ve already changed cables, I have two EMOs, Iā€™ve used his chargers, but to no avail. When I connect the base it rises, it flashes some colors, but AIBI only charges after giving the voice command to turn off. When this asset does not load, I follow up through the app, the load bars reduce until they turn off. I take it off the base and put it back on, give the voice camand to turn off and from this moment it starts to load, two hours later it has the loading bars full.

Day 2 AIBI do not charge he light up for 2-3 minutes power down
App show red battery gauge . I cannot use it anymore.
I donā€™t understand why he doesnā€™t charge . I try on the wall - try on my power bar. Try original power cord on my pc . I try regular usbc to usb no luck either .
PS the volume is up and the voice is not loud and also it breaks like an old CB radio.
This is it AIBI is 2 days old and not powering up anymore.
I am quite disappointed so far

You will need to get video and send a link to Support at service@living.ai with details of what is going on . . . you may have a defective charger.
