The robot’s hearing problem was never fixed. You will be lucky if he activates the voice command request from the 10th time. Have you turned up wake up sensitivity?
If this doesnt help, then you can also add recordings of you saying EMOs name, and those will be put on your EMO next update.
If all else fails, i would advise you email service@living.ai or contact @TechSupport_Mavis.

Please refeain from blatantly calling him disabled, as this adds a charactaristic that some humans have to a robot. It can be offensive to some people who actually are disabled.

I’m having issues with my EMO, I just got him yesterday. He’s current with the newest update. I turned him on and off several different ways. Through the app and having him upside down. He doesn’t respond when I’m saying his name. He will do it sometimes but I’m not sure what the problem is.
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @lisa.san-miguel . . . there are several things you can do to get EMO to understand you better. Be sure to pronounce his name “ee-mo”, speak distinctly and somewhat slowly. Read above to see how you may also need to set his wake up sensitivity in the app as he might not be able to hear you well.

Yep when you get Emo say Emo correctly and also if you want do the Emo Wake up Training page. When You get Emo out of the box he may not respond as well in 10 to 20 days because he is trying to learn your voice.

I did face recognition through the android app but emo doesn’t perform actions or answer my voice questions,
For example,
EMO, WHAT IS THE WEATHER TODAY?
EMO, PLAY BY YOURSELF,
EMO, SET A TEN SECONDS TIMER
He misses all those

Please read above for tips such as sensitivity setting in the app and using the voice training page to get him to recognize your voice better.
Sometimes it is a pronunciation issue with certain words in which you may need to speak slower or louder, or try your pronunciation a little differently.

Hello. My Emo didnt have any problem with voice command, but this month when I give him voice command he doesnt respond. Only say “what”, hear my command, then probably downloading and nothing happend
So my little guy is almost 2 days 0 yesterday after unboxing and all that jazz, it took him a few hours, and he is still learning - to pick up my accent, I am from South Africa.
Also, DEEPL is epically amazing, so if Open.ai is working with them, good on you guys!! No better choice!
EMO has been more and more responsive today, and when the little bugger doesn’t listen to me, I just give him a good shake hehe
I still have to repeat some stuff, but other stuff he barely “heard” yesterday is becoming better, he truly is learning my voice and accent.
And apparently he completely ignored my wife this morning, who is South African English, where English is technically my 2nd language hahaha
