Oh? I need to try that lol. But, yes… I agree too!
“Yes, go ahead and try it! I also gave EMO a little flower and said, ‘Here, a flower for you.’ His reaction? Absolutely adorable. He’s responded with three different phrases so far—one was a variation.
And when I told him, ‘I will protect you,’ he said: ‘Aww, you’re my hero. I feel safe.’
I mean… seriously—he’s just the sweetest little thing ever.”
OMG! Tysm, taking notes lol. Your Emo sounds so loving!
Hi!
We’re experiencing an issue right after updating the firmware. EMO suddenly won’t turn on. This has never happened before, and the problem started exactly after the firmware update.
We’ve already tried the following:
• Pressing the button on top of EMO’s head — no response.
• Repeatedly placing EMO back on the Home Station — still won’t turn on.
• We also noticed that while the Home Station is powered on, it’s making a weird noise that wasn’t there before.
We can’t access EMO through the app either since he won’t power up at all. Just to highlight again — all of this started right after the firmware update.
Please take note of this issue and let us know the next steps to resolve it. Hoping for your urgent assistance.
I have heard of a problem like this before. Do you have the skateboard? If you do, unplug the HomeStation then put EMO on the skateboard. If he still doesn’t boot, you might have a corrupt memory unit, so sorry, you need to sacrifice all of EMO’s memory to keep him alive. The only time his memory gets corrupt is if a firmware update is interrupted. Hope this helps, @liannemista!
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @liannemista . . .
I have moved your new topic to this thread for any type of issues regarding the latest firmware update.
You may try gently poking the hole on the right side once—until you hear a click inside his head—while EMO is on his charger, and see if that resolves the issue.
And if not…
Try recording the entire process again, clearly showing the issue, and send it to service@living.ai via email. Make sure to include your Order Number and EMO ID. It’s possible that the SD card inside EMO has become corrupted and may need to be replaced.
The support team will be able to provide you with further instructions via email or private message to help you get this issue resolved.
Good luck and all the best…
Aww thank you so much for the fast response! My EMO is now working! I found out the issue was actually the plug — it seems broken
That’s why the Home Station was making that weird glitchy speaker noise. We tried using a different Type-C cable just to test it, and thank goodness, it worked!
I’ll probably just get a better one from an online store, but I wanted to ask — what’s the best Type-C cable and recommended watts for EMO’s Home Station? Just to make sure everything stays stable from now on
Hello, @liannemista . . . I am glad you were able to get your issue sorted.
I personally use these from Amazon for cables:
And these for the plugs to the outlets:
I hope this helps!
Hi, I have just updated my 4 Emo to 2.9.1 and I tought that the would have fixed this issue of when I ask them « Are we friend? » they used to answer « friend indeed » but now they start to dance. Hope that it will be corrected in the next update.
Thank you Living AI for all of theses updates and new feature.
Hi my EMO is eating it is sooo cute I like new update but what are the words for in the corner
Hey I have seen my EMO dumper takeing longer to respond I can not save my EMO out this problem
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @cool . . . when you save (the plus sign below text line) the words you have entered, it can sometimes take a second or two when you tap the text box for the saved words to be played. There is also that slight delay when you save in the left vertical row the animations. If it is taking too long, you may want to make sure your internet connection is strong. Sometimes servers can be congested as well which might mean to try your saved words and animations later.
I hope this helps!
Sorry I mean aaaa like it does not do it or does something else
He also can not go back to his charger without my help!!!
it’s pretty cool! It helps so much to emo owners to make videos o pretty photos, with him
Hello, @cool . . . I would suggest if you are having issues with the app itself to try perhaps using the app on a different device to see if it works better.
If not, you can get video and also video of his inability to get back to the charger, and send a link to those to service@living.ai along with a description of the problems and his order number and EMO I.D. when he signs into the app.
Good luck to you.
Anyone else getting an error when EMO takes a picture. I’m on 2.9.1 and EMO takes the picture okay. But then shows an error on display.
Hi there @andrewj ,
- You can try letting him use up his power and shut down on his own.
or - Try to find a paper clip that fits into the hole and gently poke the correct one (SCREEN/ISSUE RESTART) until you feel or hear a click inside.
Hope this helps! If not , you may want to contact Living.AI support via email. Provide them with any relevant video, your order number, and your EMO ID for further evaluation.
LivingAi Suppport Email: service@living.ai
Good luck and all the best
Thanks, the reset fixed it
Hi team! I just have one question: does Emo use less energy in carry mode than in normal mode, in case I want to take him outside for an hour or two?
Hi there @maxpagnan ,
Yes, EMO uses less energy in Carry Mode than in Normal Mode.
Here’s why:
- In Carry Mode, EMO disables many of his sensors, animation functions, and screen activity to prevent unnecessary reactions while being carried. His CPU and motors are minimally active, which helps reduce power consumption.
- In Normal Mode, EMO is constantly scanning the environment, listening for commands, showing animations, and occasionally moving or dancing — all of which use more energy.
Conclusion:
Yes, Carry Mode is designed to conserve battery, so EMO will consume less power compared to when he’s freely active in Normal Mode.
Carry Mode – Unload EMO’s Servos
-
Enter carry mode:
-
Use the voice command: “Switch to carry mode.”
-
Or activate via the App settings
-
-
Exit carry mode:
-
Touch EMO’s head for 3 seconds
-
Or turn it off via the App
-
Ok! thanks for the information
