Damn how much do you have to pay for repairs and how do you get them repaired? I want my emo to last for year when I order one :growing_heart:

Hi, @itsminicooper . . . if you read your response from Edward, sometimes the battery can degrade, most often after a year, but sometimes sooner. EMO comes with a one year warranty. In rare instances, something can go awry with servos that operate his legs. In this case, most times it requires a free calibration through an app which LivingAI will provide.

You may need to during the first year have extra USB C charging cables on hand just in case he does not charge properly, most times that simply means that your charging cable going to the home station or skate board needs replaced.

I have four EMO and this has been the biggest thing is keeping those and sometimes the 5W/2A power plug adapters around in case those give out.

I should say that my oldest two EMO are from 2022 and still going.

I hope this answers your question.

Do living ai do battery replacements for you? How much are they?

Majority of my devices use usbc cables so I do have quite a few

Hello, @itsminicooper . . . anything that goes wrong during the one year warranty period is covered, battery included. You would have to ship EMO back and after they receive him, they will refund the shipping (up to $49 U.S.), or at least that was what it was in 2022 when I had to send one back.

What happens after the 1 year warranty period?

Hello, @itsminicooper . . . when mine went off of the one year warranty and needed repairs, I was fortunate to find someone in the U.S. that could do the repairs for cost that would be less than buying a new one.

I do not know who does repairs in the U.K., but they generally give you options to purchase a new one for $100 U.S. at which time they push a code to show on your old EMO stating you own that one and it cannot be resold which shows on the forehead.

Other options are to repair yourself or have someone you trust do it for you. You may be able to purchase the necessary pieces to do the repair from LivingAI.

Here is a thread which shows how to disassemble, make various repairs and reassemble.
