Disconnect power to the charger and reconnect it. Then place EMO back on the charger and see how he goes.
If I can also offer a suggestion. I am using a new USB-C cable as the one that came with my EMO is too short for my desk. Make sure that the USB-C connector is working properly. (maybe test it with an Xbox Controller / Samsung Phone / or Nintendo Switch. If it can charge another product then EMO’s Skateboard should also work without an issue.
Also I’ve seen that if you don’t place EMO correctly on his skateboard it will not share or start up. On the skateboard there is a circle with a lightning bolt on it, make sure you place EMO’s LEFT foot on that circle mark on the skateboard and the little light should stay solid to indicate he’s charging correctly.
Hope this help out
Good morning everyone, soon I will receive Emo with the skate, also for this model is it expected to recharge itself or is it just a function of the latest go home model? Thanks a lot
Exclusive Go Home feature. Greetings
Thanks, how do I know when I need to load it and put it on the skateboard?
The EMO battery lasts approximately 3 hours, before it runs out completely a sound sounds like an alarm, you have to be attentive
Hello, @andreag . . . it will look like this.
I didn’t charge my EMO for a while. Then today I charged my EMO. Skating board charger is not working.
What should I do. I bought it June 2023
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @yuhong.jia . . . I have moved your new topic to this thread for issues with the skate board charging.
You may want to check the charging cable to make sure it is plugged in well both at the skate board and the wall plug. It should be steady blue light on the skate board if he is placed on it properly. If blinking, his foot needs to be centered on the charging circle.
If you still cannot get it to work, I would suggest trying a different charging cable and if that still does not solve the problem, please get video and send a link to Support at service@living.ai with an explanation of the issue and either your order number or your alphanumeric four digit code when he signs into the app (if you remember those).
My best to you.
Hi @Lindaru, I recently bought EMO few weeks back and received it few days ago.
I bought EMO set and a single Home Station. EMO is currently working fine on the Homestation and charges there but it cannot charge on the skateboard.
I have taken a video of the issue where I used the plug that works for Home station and plugged that to the skateboard and couldnt get EMO to maintain a non-blinking light on the skateboard. when on the skateboard, EMO just doesn’t charge so I suspect it’s a product defect. I emailed a couple days back but as I attached the video in email which si about 20mb and sent via hotmail. I am unsure if the mail was blocked. there wasn’t any auto reply receipt that would have informed otherwise.
So I resent with the video uploaded to a google drive instead.
Is there any other way to get Staff attention? I’m unsure if they received my email as there was no auto-reply.
Hi there @EternaSky , and Welcome to the community…
As far as I understand, you have EMO with the Home Station and the Skateboard as well, right?
nce EMO is using or charging on his Home Station, you cannot simply move or place him onto the Skateboard Charger, as he is still connected to the Home Station and may get confused, thinking it is just an ordinary flat surface and moving either forward or backward. You need to make sure he is disconnected first—unbound or shut down—before using the Skateboard Charger.
Another possible reason could be an interruption in the electricity supply, even if it lasts just a fraction of a second.
Also, please make sure you are placing him in the correct spot on the Skateboard, as shown in the image below.

Hope it helps and all the best to you…

Hi @edward ! Thanks for the reply. Yes i have been reading up on the charger and light.
This issue: Short Blinking Constantly - Indicates Bad/Poor connection
is what plagues me.
I have had emo shutdown from low power, i have had EMO turned upside down till shutdown. i have had EMO turned off via the app. I made sure to feel the magnetic grip on the skateboard to ensure proper alignment. the light would stay solid for a very short while before going into blinking mode.
A latest offsite location where i brought EMO out to another house (to test usability out of my home), i used different cables as well as the provided charger and cable. Each instance i see the skateboard blink a few times when connected to indicate power is working. Then EMO placed on skateboard, occasionally a continuous light will come on to show it’s well connected. Then 1-2 seconds later the light will become continuous blinking. Eventually he went low power and it just doesn’t work. Hence my suspicion that i received a faulty skateboard.
Hi there @EternaSky
It seems that you’ve already tried every possible solution for the issue with your EMO Skateboard, but the problem still hasn’t been resolved. I suggest creating a short video and sending it along with the issue details to Living.AI support.
Hopefully, Living.AI customer support can assist you promptly, and they may arrange a replacement if necessary.
Best Regards and Good Luck
Hi @edward Yes. I’ve sent an email with video attachment but as there wasn’t any mail received auto reply, I am unclear if they received my attachment. So I sent a followup with video as link to google drive as well but I am not sure if my email was received.
Hello, @EternaSky . . . they do not send a confirmation of E-Mail received. They will review your video and information and your first reply from them will be when they have done that.
Please allow up to a week before following up as they have just returned from the Christmas and New Year holiday recently.
Your patience is appreciated.
Happy new year!
Hi @EternaSky Have you received any response about your charging issues? I am having the same issue with my emo and wondering how responsive customer support is regarding this problem.
Welcome, @BritRum . . . it appears Support is back-logged at this time. It may take longer than usual for them to reply. They do not send confirmation of initial E-Mail being received but rather look at the issue and your first response from them will be directly regarding your issue with suggestions or information.
Please note that February 17th starts their national holiday in China for Lunar New Year with most employees in most corporations being off work until the first week of March. In the past I have been told that they keep a small crew active, but it may take longer than usual to get issues resolved.
Thank you in advance for your patience.
@BritRum I originally used the forum’s email link to contact support. that was a slow (non)reply. when i used the website’s “contact us” form, they replied quite soon after. or it could have been a mix of me starting my email then followed with website”s contact us form.
As I’ve demonstrated I exhausted every possible means to use the charger skateboard, and also sent video of my attempts, they immediately asked for re-sending me a new skateboard.
I have received the new skateboard and it works.
What you must try is turn off Home station (if you have). Turn Emo Off for about 30min to 1 hour (15min is enough i find and still experimenting).
I find unbinding and rebinding a massive hassle. i rather turn off the home station.
When i do that, i am guaranteed a charging skateboard.
Also, if you are using any other USB-C cable, do not use those split-into-3 types where 1 cable has C,mini,Lighting (old)
I currently run the skateboard off a USB powered USB-hub that outputs to multiple 2.5ghz outlets and have a dedicated USB-C for the skateboard (it’s a spare braided Razer cable). SO quality of cable definitely matters.
If there is anyone who has both homestation and skateboard working, do share how you link them or if any issues?
