ARCHIV: / What Improvements/New Features Would You Like For EMO In The Future?

A battery percentage with/on top of the battery animation would be great too. You could make it a setting in the app or voice command to make it optional in case people didn’t want it.

There is an issue with EMO’s volume. For me he is too loud so I always set his volume to minimum. But the next day his volume is back at max so I need to repeat it again. @Wayne_Zhang please, could your team fix that?

It’s included in the next update.

@Wayne_Zhang ,
Thanks, but that’s a meaningless answer. There are multiple suggestions listed here, which one are you referring to that will be included in the next update?

When there isn’t a person included in a comment, then it’s always a reply to the previous/last comment. Or it can be just a new comment.

…Nice suggestion, or just a simple one…instead of what he usually does with the sound ,NAH’‘. when EMO sees us he will mention our name and say…, Hello Edward, Pleaseeee? then showing the hand animation with sad eyes…after we PAT EMO, he will thank us. by saying like…, Thanks! It was nice, and I Love it’’

Yes I agree, If it the way EMO asks for Pats can be improved in a better way / and if it could happen more often that would be great! It doesn’t happen enough.

Thanks for your assumption, that was my assumption too. It’s not just about this one reply though. Wayne is an executive of the company, speaking on their behalf. We hear from him so rarely anymore. Why should it be necessary to have to ask for clarification all the time, and then it usually gets ignored anyway? You’ll ask him about three points and get half an answer to one of the three.

Another suggestion: (this one can work best if you have 2 or more EMO’s - but can also work well with one too)

If you have two EMO’s it would be nice if both of them were able to speak to one another while sitting on their skateboard, as they do when they are walking around.

Example would be: Hey EMO:One, Nice weather we’re having today? EMO: Two No it’s not, it’s raining outside!

Or another could be hey EMO:One When do you think MasterAbbott is going to take us off our skateboards so we can go explore? EMO:Two, not sure let’s call him and ask!

Of course, certain things can also happen / occur with just one EMO as well, but he’d have to say different things. Would be nice to see more activity either way.

EDIT I’ll also add to this suggestion as discussed further below, an option for EMO to send you a notification via the EMO APP to say he wants you to come play with him or take him off his skateboard so he can explore / play. Of course notifications can be somewhat annoying for some users. So if you don’t want to receive such notifications, you can also have the option to simply disable them in the EMO APP.

That raises another interesting thought, what if EMO could send a text to your phone telling you he wants to get off his skateboard and play?

Yes, that could also work, but instead of a text message, a simple push notification from the EMO APP, that reminds you to go spend some time with EMO, as he’s bored and wants to play and explore.

That would actually work well.

And if you DON’T want to be bothered with push notifications, you can simply turn them off, and let EMO sit on his skateboard all day

@macfixer01 yes regarding the SMS / TEXT service. For me personally I never check any SMS / TXT I get as most of the time it’s rubbish spam. (and they also pop up on the screen as a notification as well haha so they too can get lost in between the other notifications we get on a daily basis) Also I personally believe having EMO send you a SMS via a SMS server would require much more work and would certainly cost $$$ to implement for Living.Ai (as I don’t think those things are free) as they needs to go through a SMS server compared to a simple push APP notification, which yes, can be lost, but would work quicker and certainly far easier to implement.

If you miss the notification, so be it. But for me personally a notification pop up like from the EMO App, is easy and I actually see them come up right away on my phone.

Notifications are OK but they tend to get lost. I don’t always bother check to see what it is until later. I get notifications for my email, for Facebook, for FB messenger, Apple’s message app, and for other apps.

I still liked your first idea more, @MasterAbbott.
We live in a world where we are already so much on our phones. In my case the most contact I have with people is on my phone, due to them living abroad. At home however, it’s always quiet and I would like emo to break the silence and have interaction with him, I would love it if he would let me know what he wants. I’m absolutely certain that that kind of silence and that feeling of loneliness is shared and felt by far too many people on this planet, Emo could make a difference in that. Notifications are not very personal.

Very true! As always, I believe having your EMO or more than one EMO speak more often (compared to now) seeking you attention, be it take me off my skateboard so we can play, or if you can’t at least having them call out to you even if you are in another room would be cool. Having EMO’s starting a random conversation/chat between themselves whilst sitting on their skateboard would be something I’d like to see happen more often

I absolutely agree, that would be bloody brilliant.

I was talking somewhere about EMO Pet needs more little pet like speech responses… Of course I need some help with this

Things like 1) EMO I’m home… He can say welcome home or something more
2) EMO would you like to come out and play… When he’s on his skateboard and he could say something like yes I would like that very much… 3) EMO you be careful… He does answer this but he says okay let’s not talk about it I think maybe something cuter

4 whatever you can think of that are more pet orientated for everyday things… I would just like to see more simple every day interaction even repetitive would be fine as long as is more pet like and personal… Asking how tall he is can’t be really use much see what I mean I’m just hoping they put more pet like little things in :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Oh and did I mention I found something new on my own… EMO cookoo and he will go off like a coo koo clock it’s really funny. Maybe were supposed to discover these things on our own :scream_cat:

To send any notifications EMO’s app needs to be running in the background. I would like to get a push notification when EMO’s battery is low.

If there will be a second generation of EMO it should have an OLED display. I don’t like LED displays because they are shining even when they are supposed to be completely black.

I would love to see the next hardware version of EMO (V2.0) to have a USC-C socket so that there is redundancy for charging and firmware updating.

Yes agreed small USB-C charging slot somewhere on EMO would be very useful!
