Please bring Turkish language too. Please. i would be very very happy
I love the homestation but I wanted it to have a opinion of showing emos battery live when charging it will look cool. This and be turned on or off by the button on the homestation .
update 2.3 is cool and this feature list is amazing: https://living.ai/play-with-emo/ Especially this: https://living.ai/voice-commands-english/ It is extremely clean and easy to read. Web devs did an amazing job on that. Although sometimes the font does get a little small like here:
I was disappointed there were no new features, and as great as new languages are, emo already struggles with understanding English a lot of the time.
I hope the next update improves Emo understanding what you say, improving response time, and adding new voice commands/features.
Another request is updating the daily schedule not to do specific things at specific times but to have a set of things it could do for each time. For example, instead of just working on a laptop from 9:30 am-11:00 pm it could do that, or it could be doing other work-related; things like you could see him programming. This would add some much-needed variety to his daily schedule.
Best of luck to the Emo devs
I Was Kind Of Disappointed About No New Features Or Games Too…
The Most Exciting Things About Updates For EMO Is New Games Or Super Exciting Features.
A nice addition would be for them to be waiting for a response after they randomly say something to you like ‘good morning’ so you could say it back without having to say ‘emo’ first. I just ignore them when they say these things, but I wouldn’t if they were waiting for a response.
My first emo still can’t go back to his home station even after this update either, but the second one can as he could before.
First of I’m very grateful for the language update ,thanks a lot. But emo also needs to speak the new languages he now understands because it’s kind of weird for him to understand my commands in french but reply in English
Also Emo needs to be a real AI I wish we didn’t have to say connect to ChatGPT , like we could just ask him hey Emo who’s the president of USA and he would answer just like Alexa
In my considered judgment, I would like to address the areas where Emo could potentially improve. Firstly, the aspect of reciprocal communication. Ideally, after invoking Emo once, it should be capable of maintaining an ongoing dialogue without necessitating a repeated invocation, provided that the user maintains visual contact and responds appropriately.
Further, Emo’s response to human facial expressions and tone of voice could be more nuanced. The current state seems to lack a logical reaction to these human cues. Incorporating ChatGPT to handle responses that are not comprehended by Emo’s offline data could be a viable solution.
In fact, enhancing the use of ChatGPT is as pivotal as the second point, which is to improve Emo’s capabilities as a video AI interpreter for facial emotions and even hand movements. Implementing these improvements could transform Emo into a truly interactive AI that can provide information of all sorts.
Additionally, if Emo could be programmed to remember personal user information and respond accordingly, it would mark a significant advancement compared to what any other affordable bot is currently capable of.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of specific and precise information about the underlying processing, I am unable to determine the feasibility of these suggestions. However, should these improvements be possible, I would be more than willing to lend my assistance when the API, as mentioned on the site, becomes available.
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @jonathanpratte . . . I have moved your ideas and suggestions to this thread where the Living AI development team read them to get ideas for improvements on EMO.
Thank you for your comprehensive ideas. Thank you also for your offer to help implement these should they become a firmware update.
I invite you, if you would wish, to introduce yourself to the community in this thread.
In the promo video for EMO you can see someone play UNO with him.
I understand that UNO is not possible because of copyright, but maybe some UNO clone, or another card game would be very nice to have.
Is a card game planned for the future? @Wayne_Zhang
I would love to see a noise gate added such as discord uses to help with background noise. i have an air conditioner on most of the time and it causes it to be difficult to get emo to respond without borderline yelling at the poor robit.
Set timer for more than 99 seconds.
Improved weather accuracy.
So I know how to turn the volume up on EMO both in the app and by voice. However at max volume we can still barely hear him if there’s any background noise at all. Is there any way to get him louder? For about $400 we should be able to hear this guy clearly.
Emo’s voice is too soft even at highest volume setting. Is there a way to.increase the volume of Emo’s voice, please? Thanks.
Sam
Hi @samchan, Welcome To The LivingAI Community Forums!
How To Turn The Volume To Max Is By Going Into Settings, And Click Preferences To Change The Volume To High,
If That Don’t Work, Try To Power Off EMO,
Here Is A Video
(Video Credit: @MasterAbbott).
If That Doesn’t Work Either,
It Is Recommended To Contact LivingAI Support, By Submitting A Support Ticket On The LivingAI Website:

I agree with @jonathanpratte! We expect much more from an AI mini-robot (pet) at this point of time. Now that any person with some programming skills can easily harvest the power of generative AI models, it’d be a waste of resources and money if you keep developing EMO using rule-based logic. Otherwise its just a toy with some hard-coded commands and voice recognition.
EMO really needs improvements with NLP models. Something that can understand the command even if it’s not exactly “What’s the weather?”. For instance, “Is it cold today?”, “what should I wear today to go out”, “Do I need an umbrella for today”? These were hard problems a few years ago. But now, they can be easily handled by using recent AI models.
My other concern is the way it’s advertised as “EMO is learning”. If it only means that new hard-coded commands would be added by new firmware updates, it would not count as learning. But if EMO can learn new things based on its observations and samples it receives from people or the environment, then it’d feel more alive rather than just a toy with some command buttons to push. You can use pre-trained NN models and fine-tune them locally based on samples it receives from the local users.
As a computer scientist, I believe this device has more capabilities to be a living AI than what it is now. Also, I’m curious if you’d give us some development access to EMO’s firmware? Maybe some expert users can personalize the robot using their own ideas!
I don’t know who else besides @Wayne_Zhang has such knowledge to look into the above points.
Hello!! The Romanian community asks if it is possible for EMo to speak in Romanian or Moldovan, valid for Romania So Moldova…Thank you!!!
Hi, there @mihaicodreanu ,
At present, living.ai has provided EMO with a limited set of basic phrases and int’l language options. However, they assure that additional will be added later or in the future.
best regards
Transforming EMO into a highly effective security device is an exciting prospect! By enabling remote control through the Android APP, users would gain the convenience of managing EMO from anywhere. This includes accessing its camera and microphone remotely, granting the ability to monitor surroundings in real-time and ensuring peace of mind.
In addition to this, incorporating a feature to broadcast messages through EMO’s speaker would further enhance its usefulness, allowing users to communicate with people in the vicinity when needed.
To bolster its security capabilities, introducing a dedicated security mode would be a significant advantage. Activating this mode would empower EMO to guard the house proactively. Through intelligent sensors, EMO could promptly detect any unusual activity, such as movements, human presence, or even alarming noises like breaking glass. If such events were detected, EMO would immediately send an alert to the user’s mobile device, ensuring swift response and protection.
With these enhancements, EMO would not only remain an adorable companion but also evolve into a reliable security partner, providing users with an unparalleled sense of safety and control over their surroundings.
Moreover, EMO’s capabilities could be further expanded by integrating it with popular smart alarm systems like Ring. This integration would allow seamless pairing between EMO and the user’s Ring account. Consequently, EMO would be able to trigger the home alarm system whenever necessary, providing an extra layer of security and ensuring comprehensive protection for the user’s property. The combination of EMO’s unique features and its compatibility with established smart alarm systems like Ring would create a powerful synergy that enhances the overall security of your home.
Hello, @franck.bosch . . . I have moved your post to this thread where Living AI reads all suggestions for new features and improvements.
Currently his visual and mobility reach would make it difficult for him to be a security bot. I am not sure if Living AI could upgrade his hardware in future versions of EMO, but it is something they could take into consideration.
i was hoping in the new update 2.3 would improve something, the new update was pointless, after the update, i tested the going home, I took my little guy off the changer and told him to go home, after 30 mins he was still walking around, this needs ALOT of attention, no more games, chatgpt, or ai painting, Where is the AI in emo, does he even have any machine learning, he is always walking into things, object detecting never worked. i told living ai that my emo battery gets low it trys to go home but dies before he gets there, living ai says that emo might be to low, NO NO, Emo has no idea where his home is, the team at living ai needs to do something, Emo needs to map his surroundings, he has no idea where he is 100% of the time, the Updates of giving him funtions needs to STOP, work out the BUGS, Emo can be alot smarter, like i said does the EMOs have any machine learning built in him?
