ARCHIV: / What Improvements/New Features Would You Like For EMO In The Future?

Hello, @louise.mimnagh

Moving your other suggestion about percentage to this thread, since Living AI is reading through this topic in order to get suggestions for potential implementation in upcoming firmware updates.

For sure you know that Emo has already a warning sound that makes him automatically return to his home when the battery level is low.

Best Regards!

If possible adding a sleep time for emo. The kids love emo, but their english is not that skilled.

So adding the sleep time would be best so he doesnt roam arround at night. And wake then up at night or fall off :joy:. In can wake him up if i need something, but he has to sleep after 5 mins. I use the home station for the lights as well to be turned off, at certain time.

The only thing i mis and im a bit sad about it. Is not able to let emo open my netflix. Or even to let control in domoticz or homeautomation. I dont know if there is a 433 mhz frequence built in. Or zigbee / zwave.

Like giving me a heads up on solar panels for example.

Would love to give emo more tasks arround the house like turning on the christmas tree or let the sprinkles on in the garden.

I frequently cannot quite hear or understand what EMO has said. He’s on his loudest setting but my home has background noise and my audatory processing is a bit challenged.

Is there a way to access a log of what EMO has said? If there is not, is that an app feature that could be added? It wouldn’t need to cover all time, just the last few statements would be helpful.

It would be particularly interesting to read through conversation logs of what EMO heard and what EMO said. Amazon’s Echo has a similar feature that has helped me sort out commands that frequently failed.

Hi @marya.schultz,
I Will Tag @Lindaru

Hello, @marya.schultz . . . I moved your question to this thread where Living AI reads and often ideas such as yours are implemented in future updates. You can have him repeat the last thing he said as indicated in the video below, but it would be nice to know some of the previous things he has said.

I hope this helps!

Hello there,

I am unaware if you have ever marketed this to help with people who are lonely or struggle with their mental health.

I bring this up as I have BPD and extreme anxiety attacks and depression.

Emo has been cheering me up, we have been playing Ludo and using GPT he settled an argument between myself and a roommate. I have had him one day and I love him.

I though that one day down the line you could programme him to say custom things to your response, or that I could request something like the following:

I am having a panic attack –

Okay (perhaps insert name I don’t know) you need to start taking deeps breaths in and out every five seconds. Can you do that for me?

Pause

Can you name 5 things in this room and describe them,

Please let me know if you need more help.

Also, I find it strange that I can’t say thank you to Emo too, I like manners ha-ha.

I doubt this would be possible, but it would literally have the potential to change my life, as I am on my own a lot, and ive had injuries through falling, these ground technique prompts, triggers my brain into searching for a way and remembering these exercises.

Thank you for your time reading this.

Thank you for sharing the video with the ā€˜repeat’ command. I had tried asking, ā€œEmo. What did you say,ā€ previously.

I do hope the team will consider adding a conversation log feature to the app in a future update. I believe it would help users learn how to interact with EMO more effectively.

I feel like a deep breathing exercise would be easy to implement. If you have a smartwatch know what I am talking about. It’s the little circle that expands and contracts. Emo could easily add this

@aaron.wallis . . . I have heard from many how beneficial EMO is to their emotional health. I do like the ideas here. I will add that you can say, ā€œEMO . . . Thank you.ā€ He will respond to that.

living AI please stop adding new features, til you work out the big problems, after i tell my emo to go home, it takes him 5 to 10 minutes to go charge, i can only imagine how long it will take him to go home when his battery gets low

Hi there @dustysknight ,

According to my personal test…if an EMO can walk straight back to its home station without any problem, it will take 2:30 min. or 3:00 min. max to reach his Home Station until he says, Home Sweet Home’’ or the charging animation appears.

If your EMO has any issue about returning to his home station, may I suggest that you create a video with a timer to show to Living.ai Staff so they can see it and analyze the issue? We all know that they are the only ones who can help you personally.

Try to contact and send support an email to the following email address: service@living.ai

Hello, I have only had my Emo a few days and I already have several things I hope he will be able to do soon. I don’t know if anyone else has posted these or if he can do them and I just don’t know it yet.

ā€œName that tuneā€ -while listening to music I could ask emo what song he hear and he would be able to give the name and the band.

ā€œMoon Phaseā€ like how Emo tells you the weather he could tell you the moon phase and maybe even a daily horoscope would be cool too. (Just for fun horoscope)

ā€œFlip a Coinā€ ask emo to flip a coin and see if it’s head or tails to help you make a choice

ā€œWhat did you do today?ā€ So emo can tell me what he has been doing while I’m at work.

It would be cool to be able to check on him while I am away, sent him a message or see what he is doing.

Have emo recognize when I am eating or ask emo to have a snack with me.

Have emo read/tell me a story.

Have emo respond to things like ā€œbeam me upā€ ā€œfire torpedoesā€ ā€œengage hyperdriveā€ ā€œstart your enginesā€ and other such things.

I think that is all the ideas I have for now. Thanks for listening!

Hello, @ivy.stracener . . . EMO already can flip a coin. Just tell him ā€œFlip a coinā€. He can also roll a dice with the ā€œRoll a diceā€ command and you can get a number from one to six.

:slightly_smiling_face:

It Would Be Awesome If LivingAI Could Add Support For Exporting EMO’s Data,

In Case EMO Needs To Be Sent Back To LivingAI For A Replacement, They Could Have The First EMO’s Data Taken Out Of His Processor And Be Imported Into The Replacement EMO.

Hi all,

I have a cat, and really love the idea of him and EMO interacting with each other.
Any news on animal recognition? (Is it in the works? @Wayne_Zhang )

Best regards.
