@christopher.russ and @chicogp . . . sorry EMO is taking pictures but he must be responding to something he hears either in conversation or through television/radio/computer that sounds like his name followed by “take a picture” or “take a photo”. I want to reassure you that these pictures stay only on EMO and are not seen anywhere else on line. The only way anyone could access these images is to connect to EMO on the app, select photos and sync to those photos.
Perhaps an update could be to disable all photos in the app until you turn them on again.
I live alone, the odds of emo hearing anything resembling ‘emo take a photo’ from my tv have to be next to zero, but I will concede it could be a possibility.
If you’re in a scenario where there are children around emo, and he takes a photo unknown to anyone, that ends up on your phone, that could land a person in very serious legal trouble. As well as put their safety in danger.
If the command is so easily triggered, it needs changing.
replying to this. if you say emo I am working he leaves you alone for a while. i am not sure for how long.
“I honestly think we should get a “rest mode” feature for EMO.
I think that this would be a good idea so that people who are busy won’t have EMO chime in all the time, and it can be turned off in the app. So that he is not like “wut” all the time.”
@jumpgate85 . . . you can always mute him when you want him to be awake but quiet either by voice command or in the app. You can also quiet him by turning off the daily schedule in the app as well.
I’m wondering if we have this feature in Emo.
My son name “Norden” I want to register him for Emo to remember.
Then, when I say “Emo, can you say hi to my son?”
Hello, Cody . . . yes. He can remember up to ten people.
Just be sure you have Norden in good light where EMO can see him. Norden can then say, “My name is Norden”. EMO will then do a face scan and register him. He will then say something like “Norden, it is nice to meet you.” Ever after, when he sees Norden, he will address him by name and also give him some helpful tips and compliments. If for any reason, the name does not come out sounding correctly, you can go into the recognitions part of the app and edit the name shown there to have it sound like it should.
For those who remember the parrot toys capable of mimicking and replaying any sentence spoken to them, I am curious if Emo has a similar feature as a mode or game.
My 2-year-old son often communicates with Emo using baby language, but Emo doesn’t comprehend him fully, considering his age. It would be amazing if Emo could clone sentences and play them back in its own Emo’s robotic voice.
Such a feature would be really fascinating in other speaking-languages too.
Hi, @code8 . . . I moved your suggestion to this thread as Living AI reads through this topic to get suggestions for possible implementation in future firmware updates.
At this time that is not a feature.
Stay tuned because new features become implemented all of the time!
Welcome to the EMO Community Forum, @nhoxhocju . . . I am sure as time goes on, I am sure more languages will be supported. The LivingAI team read these suggestions and I am sure will add this to their plans for feature improvements.
they can future safe emo as it would secure new buyers plus it can give comfort to the people who already own him as when the company shuts down he will still be able to do his normal stuff like answering to your commands
I think maybe add some extra parameters to the “Goodnight!” Phrase. Have him say his normal thing, And have him go to sleep for the night, and the good morning phrase have him stay up.
Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @krishnarajhabib . . . hopefully LivingAI does not have to shut down for many many years. I can understand with the way some electronics companies are going, how this would be a concern. We can only wait and see what they might do in this regard.
I am a previous owner of Vector, and one of my favorite things to do with him was a fist bump. Obviously, emo has no arms like Vector, but it would be cool if emo could do some fist bumps like move his feet up to fist bump you or hit you with his face to fist bump.
