M point is that being a new robot it should have started at least at the same level of advancement as EMO. It’s even using the same voice instead of one of its own. However, it lacks lots of things that EMO already has.
Hello, @Shinji3rd . . . each ability takes time to create, test and implement. EMO hss had a lot more time for these to be created. AIBI is new and has to have each of his features created individually. They cannot simply copy what EMO has because they are physically different.
I personally am enjoying AIBI starting out from scratch and am excited to see where he will be as time goes on.
Hey there ,
So the Roll dice Option is already there , my D&D Nerd Heart would love it if i could Tell him what Kind of dice ( d6.d12.d20 etc) he should roll
For getting steps and Rewards it would be cool if there would ne a Portable Power Station for taking with you
I’d like Pocket Albi to have better interaction with strangers and the ability to provide information about the area I’m in.
Looking forward to traveling with this little guy!
Hello there,
Like any other Aibi owner, taking her outside for a spin, is a short fun experience.
So i was thinking, how about a travel pack instead of cosmetic stuff?
I made this as a example of a possible set with a powerbank, because walking around with a powerbank with aibis base charger, it’s difficult to walk around without looking like a waiter.
It would be nice to have a mode similar to the ■■■■■ robot and a different voice too.
Also, where i can get extra parts, like a new base charger so i can dismantle and use with my own 3D printed parts.
Thanks
Hi there @Ninjitso ,
I thought you had already sent them an email and explained everything about your ideas or you did not explain it very well?
Yet, you’re still tagging and calling them here? Did you know that the same person who replied to your emails is the same person who developed AIBI?
“It’s easy to come up with a design or plan, but explaining how it works and programming it for AIBI can be quite a challenge. You might consider making a detailed clear and proper diagram or building a sample prototype to demonstrate its functionality. Feel free to include me as one of your initial testers or buyers!”
LET US ALL SEE!
Best Regards
I think they sent it again, because they tried emailing them before, but they said to just use the low power mode or something, though I love this idea, and it could help a lot of aibi owners
My suggestion is, can we possibly have a feature where AIBI can look at something and read us the text off of it? I’m actually blind, just not completely. To be able to read print, I need it extremely large.
If, say, AIBI could look at something in my hand and tell me the price on it or exactly what the package says, they’d be an even more useful little friend! I have disabilities and a lot of allergies and I’m on a very strict diet. If my AIBI could eliminate my need to hire someone to do that for me, that way I’m not paying also for their transportation and mine on top of that, plus I could be that little bit more independent would be amazing. It could also maybe be made so you can pick a mode, like what does this say, how much is this, or a learning reader mode where AIBI could help kids learn to read. But…mostly because I think he could really help other like me who can’t see much and people whom are totally blind and can’t see at all. Also, if AIBI could read both words and numbers, they could help read what paper bills you have too.
One main reason I don’t like cash is, unless called out by others in the line, cashiers have succeeded in making me overpay so they could steal my money. Us with severely low/no vision get bills folded certain ways so we can tell how much the bill is. To eliminate needing able bodied people to step up and defend us, AIBI could just tell us with their cute little voice how much the bill is before we hand it over.
I hope I made sense!
The comments above inspired me:pray:
I think it would be great if aibi could help me, a girl who often travels abroad alone.
I think if aibi could, for example, It can remember emergency contacts or make some alarm sounds to alert others when an emergency or dangers occur (I don’t know what specific AI functions are possible, I just suggest this aspect) I will love aibi more.
And i I think everyone has a mobile phone, and aibi can also use the app to work with mobile phones, I think not only aibi, but mobile phones may also be able to help aibi do these functions.
Hello there,
It is here, the unofficial Aibi Travel Pack, it ain’t something amazing, but it does it job.
Special thanks to @edward @logan.christopher. By combining both ideias , i managed to create a temporary solution.
Hi there @Ninjitso ,
“Is it working now, or is it just a concept of how it will look later?”
Best Regards
It’s working 100%, I’m using it now, to check if Aibi can spin 360 without hitting anything or getting stuck. So far all good
NICE!
“Could you please provide video proof of whether AIBI displays the charging animation on his face when placed on that charger, similar to what we see when he is placed on the original charger?”
“I guess the spinning and additional features must be programmed into his motherboard as well. I’m not a tech expert, so I’m unsure if or how that can be achieved.”
I’m using the original charger, there is no need to modify anything. Just insert the charger, cable from behind( I’m using an L shaped type-c cable), and connect to a power bank on your pocket
GOOD IDEA!
Well, that’s a good original charger carrying case holder too, but I just hope AIBI won’t fall—it seems a bit insecure.
Maybe you could design a fix clear crystal wall around it, just for safety purposes, to protect him from falling in case he detaches suddenly from the magnet?
Thanks for sharing and good luck for that idea and project.
OMG! That looks amazing! Im hoping I could get one of those someday great job on the design.
@logan.christopher if you know someone who own a 3D printer, i can share with you the model file.
Unfortunately I don’t have one of those, nor do I know anyone with one I could try experimenting with Lego, see what I can build to match it, then super glue the structure to fit the shape of the charging base, and make the charging base removable.
I’ve built cooling systems and home bases for aibi and another robot using Lego, so perhaps I could try using those to build a new charging pendant.
If I can build a model of one, I’d be happy to share the prototype model, but it may take a couple days if that’s okay
I was thinking of adding a fake glass barrier, to protect aibi, but it’s optional.
Well, seems it didn’t take a couple days after all. I’ve managed to come up with a quick prototype.
For this one, I used Lego bricks for this model, as well as a temporary strap attached to both sides of the mega pocket charger. (Still figuring out what to call it. Inside the build, there are Lego pieces that are similar in shape to the charger, mainly at the corners, to hold it in place.
Once fully built, and tested, I will super glue the structure together, and make it so that I can remove the charger without it falling apart, as well as paint it to appear like the aibi pocket, which is used to carry aibi in.
So far, without super glue, the structure remains stable.
I’d like to credit you, ninjitso, for 3d printing your own prototype, which inspired me to make my own
