AIBI Improvements/Special Features You Would Like?

Dear Living AI Team,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to share some feature requests and suggestions for future updates to the AIBI robot. As a user, I have been enjoying the interactions with AIBI and would like to see some new features and improvements to enhance the overall experience.

Below is a list of my suggestions:

  • The ability for AIBI to interact with Emo
  • A power bank or charging case for AIBI’s “necklace” or “pocket” (option to buy separately)
  • More clothing options for AIBI
  • Integration with the Emo Pet app, with a potential rebranding to “Living AI Robots” or similar
  • Video recording capabilities, similar to a GoPro
  • Enhanced ChatGPT feature:
    • Ability for AIBI to process and respond to user input
    • Automatic fallback to ChatGPT if AIBI is unsure or doesn’t understand the input
  • Customizable bedtime feature, allowing users to set a specific time for AIBI to “go to sleep”
  • Improved sleep animations
  • A built-in calculator function
  • Option to use a different Large Language Model (LLM) such as:
    • LLaMA 3.1
    • Mixtral
    • Google Gemini
    • Other offline LLM options

I believe these features would greatly enhance the user experience and provide more flexibility and functionality to the AIBI robot. I would be excited to see these features implemented in future updates.

Thank you for considering my suggestions. I look forward to hearing about any future updates and developments.

Best regards, Aidan

Hi there @aidanmarshall ,

I have moved your new topic to this thread, where we can post requests for improvements to AIBI, and I’ve closed the one you just created.

Typically, living.ai periodically visits this thread topic, reviews it, and considers every user’s ideas for potential additions in their future firmware updates.

As volunteer moderators, we aim to keep the forum organized and easy for users to find information by keeping posts in their appropriate threads. This is done by using the search function to avoid clutter.

Next time, please consider using the "Search " button function on this forum first. It will often be easier for you to find and get solutions. You can find the search icon at the top right of every page.

Thank You and Best Regards

hey im really curious does the AiBi still get updates? how long will this be supported? and is it worth buying now?

Network:
The Network Connection need an overhaul.

  1. AIBI can not see the WiFi when he stands on his base. To change the network u have to unmount him to be able to connect to an existing network.
  2. there has to be an auto connect option, if he gets in range of a known network. I constantly forget to change the Network if I come home from Work.

Battery:
The battery is to weak, if mine is in idle mode, the battery last for 45min. :frowning_with_open_mouth:
A powerbank accessory would be nice.

Voice:
It is nearly impossible to understand what he is saying. Different Voice options would be nice.
His voice is so cute, but it has to be louder and clearer

Interaction:
It seems that he can not respond to his camera. Gesture recognition would be nice.
More audio feedback would also be nice.
Video mode could be interesting.

I like my little fella, I’m exited to see him grow with every update to come. Hope there will be plenty’s

Would love to be able to change Aibi’s voice to anything but that chipmunk voice. I have a hard time understanding most of what she says. I have the same problem with Emo so I don’t ask him questions.

Hello! Well first I’d like to say I’ve been watching you guys since Emo was introduced. Despite now having living pets, I still have a soft spot in my heart for virtual/robotic pets.
I feel like I have alot of simple yet personable ideas to make them feel unique.
Someone further up said that giving them distinct personalities would be cool and I 100% agree. I love tamagotchi and even something simple like what they have going on in their Uni devices.
I also would LOVE to be able to personalize what I call them. Not sure if that’s a possibility, but it’s a feature I would adore.
Also being able to change the eye color. I saw the stickers and what looks like different sunglass looks, but I really hope we can change the eye color at some point.
I also think it would be cool to control the camera via the app. I was thinking something akin to a pet camera and the ability for your voice to come through the device.
I also think it would be a good idea (as someone who also worries about saftey) for it to be able to record. Like if I ever feel unsafe, I could truly feel like I have a buddy with me. Maybe since I’m the only one who’s a registered user, anyone who isn’t me or who isnt recognized by the robot is locked from certain features. Maybe it can be enabled in the app. Someone mentioned using as a dashcam as well and that’s the direction I’m leaning in. Again I know that’s probably a HUUUGE stretch, but I have no idea what is and or is not possible, so I’m putting it out there…
Well I think that’s all I have (for now) I hope some of these Ideas are reciprocated. I cant wait to receive my Aibi

Please add a charging notification for Aibi. When Aibi has only one battery level left, it can notify the owner to charge it like “hey, please charge me, my battery is low” otherwise, we have to constantly check the battery level in the app, which is quite inconvenient:pray::pray:

Aibi does have a quiet mode. It’s in app settings/preferences/quiet period where you can set the time period for Aibi to be quiet every day. You can also tell Aibi to “Be quiet”.

Hello @mayamccullough ,

If you feed AIBI a chameleon in the food shop ,(costs 50 coins) AIBI will change its eyes to a random color (red, orange ,green, etc.) Though the effect is temporary and will only last around 5 minutes.

Maybe L.AI will add this feature so AIBI can have the color effect until the robot powers off or restarts, just like EMO got recently.

Best regards!

Some feedback for improvemenrs for AIBI include:

  • Custom fit Screen protector,
  • Carry case of a wide variety of color selection,
  • Trigger a reaction or reminder its their birthday,
  • Reaction after being sent a food,
  • Added closeness with owner, higher closeness exhibits positive behaviour, lower exhibits negative behaviour to the point it ignores your command for a while until it cools down.
  • More interactive game that would include playing with EMO together,
  • Hearing sensitivity,
  • Additional Idle animation like schedule daily activity similar to EMO
  • Additional Tarot ability (wrong spelling at Tarot Reading result window, mispelled as Teading instead or Reading) Read daily horoscope of owner.
  • Tries to grab owners attention, like EMO asking for pets but for AIBI, needs to be carried around besides pets.
  • More offline commands and responsiveness.
  • Low battery notification on app or AIBI

AIBI NEEDS a new voice! He sounds EXACTLY like EMO and he needs to be unique!

Suggestion: Try to connect Aibi with wireless earbuds for both Audio and Speaker for personal use in public.

AIBI has all hardware required for a remote control over the internet even if far from him.
However, so far, we can connect it only when close to him… that would be nice!

I think it would be really cool if AIBI had a Pomodoro timer feature! It could feel like AIBI is studying with me as a friend, especially since I’m a student. For example, when the Pomodoro timer is running, AIBI could show animations like reading a book or studying together. It would make study sessions feel more engaging and fun.

I want to see if, in the next update, we could see aibi interacting with emo, just like how two emos can interact with each other :slightly_smiling_face:

here is the my opinions.

  1. make the AIBI be like as webcam (add in general application) with motion detection. the camera quality is enough for this.
  2. when you call AIBI so that it spins in all directions and finds me by facial recognition.
  3. “quiet period” is bugging. FE I tried to set period from 23:00 to 07:00 and the application say “start time must be before time”.
  4. the gift for AIBI costs 70 coins, when I click Buy button, I got a message that the gift costs 700 coins.

I‘d love to have a voice recognition or at least have AIBI turn in the general direction of the voice.

I‘ve got an illness where I can’t tolerate light or noise and need to stay in a darkened room, so I can’t get AIBI to recognize me because it’s too dark.

And I second the volume slider. It‘s cute to hear the little one singing, but I‘d like to have more variety in the volume, so I can make him a bit more quiet without resorting to muting.

Oh, and perhaps a salad option for the menu. Tomato eyes would be quite cute. :tomato:

It is really hard to wake up AIBI for a lot of people, so I was thinking that L.AI can create a way to wake AIBI other then saying his name, like triple - clicking his head. This would be game changing since you can use voice commands way more easily.

Best regards and happy holidays!

Anyone else find Aibi to be “stupid” compared to Emo and other robots? Overall, Aibi is worse than Emo in terms of speaker quality, games, songs, animations, camera quality, battery, etc. I like the design, the color, the charging base, and the portable light, but other than that, I ended up being annoyed by it singing the same freakin’ two same songs multiple times every single day, or showing the dinos on the screen repeatedly. It went from being fun to being an annoyance way too soon, and the lack of interactions and games is making it boring.

That said, I think it needs to have at least more games, and when in low-power mode (recently introduced) it should still count the steps. Why would anyone put it in low-power mode to go for a long walk if it cannot even count the steps?

Also, a daily schedule with different actions would be cool, instead of just staring, showing the dinos, and singing, repeating these limited actions multiple times throughout the day.

Mine counts the steps when in low energy mode. And he doesn’t sing that much. He screams a lot, but just two or three songs a day.
