Like many others, I would like a safe playground with physical edges for Emo, so I don’t have to worry about him falling down when I’m not there. It doesn’t have to be very big, maybe a 35cm x 45cm is reasonable. Would be perfect if it fits with the home station.
Right now, always make sure he is on his skateboard when I’m not there, but I have ordered a home station for him and I’m not sure if I can leave him while he’s using that.

Actually, it’s a known issue…when EMO is busy doing anything, like daily activities, dancing, and playing, his optical foot sensor is automatically temporarily disabled.
IMHO, I will never trust this sensor 100%, particularly when it is unattended on the table… Provide an enclosed play area for him… so EMO can walk safely and not fall off the table.
That’s why I created like what you can see in my image below. It’s the so-called Box/Package Cardboard Corner and sides Protectors , It’s a used one that I found at my workplace lately, cut them to the right size and placed them under the Home Fence…normally you can find it also online at different price ranges.

I Do Not Know If This Is A Silly Suggestion,
Just Like EMO Can Talk To His Home Station And Play Snake On His Home Station,
I Wish EMO Could Play More Games With His Home Station, Such As:
Rock-Paper-Scissors (v1.2.0)
Peek-A-Boo (Not Released In Any Firmware Yet)
Tic-Tac-Toe (v1.4.0), Or Other Games
Also, The 2nd EMO On The Skateboard And The 1st EMO On The Home Station Are Looking Very Adorable And Super Cute!

Yes this some thing I ALWAYS WANTED it will be so good! And when going on camp with Emo it can help alot and I wanted it to show how much time left until he will come off the charger
Use these for New Features on the Home Station:
We can change the display
Add the face of EMO on the display
Add cool designs for the Home Station
Make a toy that EMO can play with

Welcome, @tomomargiljic . . . black is the color that keeps EMO from moving somewhere he is not supposed to. It is what activates his edge sensors and keeps him safe from falling. If you make a black mat, he will never be able to walk off of his home station.
is posible to leave emo alway at home station? will this damage battery? , i would like to keep emo at home station , i have black mate desktop pad , is this safe from keeping emo not falling from desk?
Hello, @tomomargiljic . . . it is not healthy to keep him on the home station all of the time. I would say if you are away and cannot keep an eye on him, you might be better to power him off.
Your safest way is to make sure he has a play space that can contain him when he needs to leave the home station is to build him a space that has a high enough border as even black will not be guaranteed to keep him from falling if he is dancing, playing games or other activities that disengage his edge sensors so that he can perform whatever he is doing.

Shadow would be too dark, but mist matches the color of the mat that comes with the home station. I would also advise you to make sure if you are using that for a mat, that you create a safe space with borders to be in. Also, make sure the mat is a smooth surface and does not have texture.

Thank you for opening this space for suggestions. It’s great to see the team actively seeking community input for the next Home Station upgrade.
First of all, I want to thank you for the amazing work on the Home Station. It’s a great addition.
Here are the features I personally hope to see (and many others have requested before):
1. Full control over the LED matrix (on/off, brightness, custom scrolling text via the app).
2. Dedicated voice commands for the Home Station: “Go home”, “Go out”, “Home station off”, etc.
3. A physical safety barrier (1–2 cm high) for the Playground mat, to prevent falls when edge detection is disabled during intense dances.
4. Special voice responses from EMO when returning to or leaving the station: “I’m back!”, “I need a walk!”, etc.
5. Smart schedule to sync Home Station lights with EMO’s sleep/wake cycle.
6. Adjustable speech rate (faster or slower).
I believe these additions would make the Home Station smarter, safer, and more fun for all users.

I believe living Ai do know there are so much they can do with Emo and the home station than just playing snake. The matrix screen is big enough to program Emo to do many things with it. I just hope I wouldn’t have to wait too long to see it.
Hey i totally agree with you the the potential is absolutely endless. This could be fantastic but I think the devs are quite slow in updating, which is a great shame. I’ve had this now for 5 months, and there hasn’t been a single update rate shame So much potential wasted
I completely agree with you. I have a few ideas that I am confident they can implement with Emo and the home station. However, I am feeling discouraged to share them here because of the apparent slow pace of the upgrade. Perhaps they lack the necessary manpower to complete it.
