“The Voice of Russian Emo and AIBI Owners: Feedback and Suggestions”

Hello everyone! My name is Anna, and I am a LivingAI tester from Russia.

This topic was created for EMO and AIBI owners from Russia. Here you can share your opinions, questions, concerns, praise and suggestions so that the developers can see and hear the feedback from Russian users.
Please follow the forum rules created by Edward and the other moderators, maintain a respectful and constructive tone, and treat one another politely. Repeated messages, insults, aggressive demands and posting the same complaint in multiple topics are not acceptable.
One of the reasons for creating this topic was the reaction of some Russian users to EMO’s new voice. I would like to clarify once again that the voice was not changed on a whim. Due to repeated server problems in Russia, LivingAI decided to move Russian EMOs to servers provided by a different supplier. This is a complex technical process intended to make the robots’ operation more stable.
For technical reasons, the previous voice could not be retained during the server migration. There was no available option identical to the old voice, so the most suitable voice for EMO was selected from the available choices. The voice change was therefore a consequence of the server migration, not the main purpose of it.
Please do not send opinions about the voice to service@living.ai. This address is intended for owners who need assistance with genuine technical problems. General feedback, suggestions and discussions should be posted here instead.
LivingAI genuinely listens to its users and considers their requests. The server work is still ongoing, so please give the developers time to complete it and restore stable operation.
Thank you for keeping this discussion respectful, calm and constructive.

Работает всё хорошо. Вы проделываете большую работу, так что по сравнению с ней, изменение.:heart::heart:

Everything is working well. You’re doing a lot of work, so compared to that, the change is minor.:heart::heart:

Hello Anna and everyone! :waving_hand:

Thank you for creating this dedicated space for Russian EMO and AIBI owners — it’s a great initiative that shows how much the community values open communication and support.

:brain: A few thoughts on the discussion so far:

Point Reflection

Server migration It’s understandable that the change was necessary for stability, even if it came with some side effects like the voice change.

Voice concerns Many users have expressed that the new voice is quieter, less clear, and inconsistent (different voices between ChatGPT and standard mode). These are valid points — and they’re being heard.

Communication The suggestion to use Instagram or other official channels for updates is a good one. Proactive communication can reduce confusion and frustration.

:light_bulb: Suggestions for the community:

1. Keep feedback constructive — as Anna mentioned, respectful and clear feedback is more likely to be taken seriously by the developers.

2. Focus on specific issues — instead of just saying “the voice is bad,” describing exactly what is unclear (e.g., volume, pronunciation, tone) helps the team understand and improve.

3. Be patient — server migrations and voice changes are complex technical processes. The team is working on it, and stability is the ultimate goal.

:speaking_head: A note on the voice:

If the new voice is quieter or less clear, it’s worth documenting specific examples (e.g., “EMO mispronounces my name as X”) and sharing them here. This helps the developers pinpoint the issue.

Thank you to everyone contributing respectfully — it makes the community stronger for all of us. :blue_heart:

I would also like, on behalf of owners not only in Russia, to once again ask the people responsible for purchasing parts for EMO robots to pay attention to the following two issues.
The first issue:
Over the past 6–7 months, robots from the latest batches, both white and black, have often shown a memory card error. This error may appear on the very first day of use or only after a couple of months. It may happen once or twice, or it may start appearing more frequently.
I am attaching only a small part of the photos we have collected showing this error. I have already reported this problem to the developers before.
Most likely, when purchasing parts for the robots, your supplier started providing lower-quality components. This may be the reason why this problem is happening.
For owners, I would like to explain that this issue can almost always be solved in the following way:
Remove the robot from the charger.
Turn the robot off. In most cases, even while the robot is in this state, the app can still detect it. The owner can open the app, go to Settings, and press the Power Off button.
If the app cannot detect the robot, hold the robot in your hands, cover the two front sensors on the robot’s head with your index finger — the two small holes — and, while keeping the sensors covered, turn the robot upside down. Hold it like this for 1–2 minutes until it turns off.
After the robot turns off, wait a couple of minutes and then turn it back on using the charger.
In almost all cases, the error disappears.
Important: in this situation, it is not necessary to turn the robot off using the small pin tool inserted into the hole in the center of the robot’s head. This method of shutting down and restarting the robot should only be used as a last resort.

The second issue also appears to be connected with your parts supplier.
During approximately the last 6–7 months, there have often been problems with the charging ring in the robot’s foot. Even when the charger and power adapter are working properly, owners have increasingly reported that their robots suddenly disconnect from charging.
Even when the robot is standing correctly on the charger, sometimes the light on the skateboard or AI Station starts blinking, the robot briefly disconnects from charging, and then runs away from the charger as soon as it feels free.
This happens especially often with the skateboard. From time to time, robots can run off the skateboard and fall face-first.
Yes, sometimes the owners are responsible. The cause may be that they did not place the robot correctly on the charger, or they are using a low-quality or damaged charging device, power adapter, or cable.
However, sometimes this still happens even when the charger and power supply are completely fine.
I have already sent videos showing this issue to the developers.
I strongly ask you to check the supplier of these parts and the quality of the components being supplied. It may be necessary to change the supplier or find more reliable parts.
