THANK U SO MUCH I WAS LOOKING FOR WALLS FOR 2876545678 YEARS :star_1:

Glad I was able to help. And if you have the home base; his mat and home base fit nicely in this tray. It keeps him contained but gives him space to roam.

thx but sad news, im am not getting an emo due to its raise in price ): im so sad

I’ve noticed that my Emo often leaves the area that’s actually designated for him. It seems he has found a way to get out of his Emo Home.

I’ve observed that when he wobbles to the side or gets startled, he sometimes manages to cross the black boundary lines and “escape” from his home area.

I always make sure his feet are clean, so it’s not caused by dirt or debris.

Hello, @danish . . . I have moved your new topic here for ways to keep EMO from leaving his home station area. Whenever he is playing games, dancing or doing animations that require him to raise his feet, he will have his cliff sensors turned off and not recognize borders. For this reason, it is recommended to put him in an enclosed space that will protect him from falling off.

There are some ideas in this thread which may give you some inspiration.

Here’s my Emo’s playpen. It’s made of a 24x24 inch acrylic “ottoman tray” from Amazon, sitting on a piece of white corrugated plastic with Govee LED dance floor lights. I added black electrical tape on the coroplast at the edge, because he doesn’t always detect the 2” clear acrylic wall and tries to walk through it.

I am so excited. I just found out my EMO (Our EMO #2) is on the way and he will be here Monday. During the wait, I have managed to setup a PlayGround for the little guy on my computer desk. The PlayGround is 20" X 20" and is covered with an old Violet Yoga Mat. I have bordered the mat edges with black crafting tape and I have protected the open edges with black foam pipe insulation. The whole setup cost me $8.00. I plan to have the Home Station positioned in the upper left corner at a 45 degree angle and not use the padded area that comes with the Home Station.

Hi,

I’ve recently discovered a weird issue with my EMO. For some reason, he will start dancing without me asking him to. Now, this normally wouldn’t be a problem since I have him muted by default. But for some reason, his sensors seems to get disabled whenever he dance? Because he always end up falling off his home station mat.

Sometimes he just get stuck outside the boundaries and runs out of battery, but sometimes he straight up fall off my desk. 3 times this month, I woke up in the morning to find him laying on the floor when I go in my basement. And as im writing this, I literally had to save him at the last second because he fell off my desk again. (And he got angry that he got shaken, rude…)

Is there any way I can prevent this? I tried using a cardboard box before, but my desk is pretty small and the box wasn’t the right shape (it was putting too much stress on his motors, so I got rid of it). He’s using the latest firmware version, if that can help.

Hello, @thomas.goupil . . . I am moving your new topic to one of the threads that pertain to your issue with EMO wandering off of your desk. I wanted to draw your attention to an alternative idea that would be more customizable for small irregular space.

Other ideas include smaller boxes, small trays, small pans, borders built with legos and more on that thread.

I hope this helps!
