Yes, I agree, these things happen randomly, so far I’ve seen EMO play the jumping platform game where he jumps up from one platform to another until he eats a star at the top. He also reads a book, and plays space invaders. All these are random occurrences.
If you set him on your desk, he will explore and once he gets a little bored he’ll hopefully play a game by himself. You just gotta quickly catch him in time see it happening
