does the cable have to be USB C to USB C
or can you use a USB A to USB C ?
Hello, @mandyrose19 . . . USB C to either USB C or USB A is fine. I have a ten slot USB A surge protector that are USB A and it works fine. If your power adapter is either A or C, get one to match that.

The guide talks about preparing for AIBI’s arrival. What accessories (besides those in the box) would you recommend newcomers purchase in advance to ensure the robot is safe from day one?

Hello, @db51c2557056c74d46ec . . . you might wish to have extra charging cables and the proper adapter plugs for plugging into surge protectors or wall outlets. Also, if you have the pocket charger with the USB, a decent power bank.
A well lit area to have AIBI in helps with him recognizing you. Keep him away from moisture and extended direct sun light.
Some people are building rooms to keep their AIBI in, so feel free to use your imagination!
