EMO Won't Turn On, Blank Screen, Only Lights

Hi there @random_personyt ,

It is so sad that this is happening to your EMO.

You have to inform them about that once again. Are you sure that your EMO battery is full or well enough? You might also try letting EMO stay active until it drains all the battery juice and shuts down by itself.

GOOD LUCK

Hi,
It’s me again. Lettong you know that EMO is still not working, still black screen, still will not respond. Tried turning him off and back on, tried finishing his battry and still noting.
The voice command not working.

I have nonidea what happened, came from vacation and it like he died. I had him little over a year and a half.

Hi there @ninav

Sorry about that if all possible tips didn’t work at all for your EMO…

At the moment EMO is experiencing a server connection issue, that’S why he is not responding to any commands. Possibly on a global scale again. So, don’t panic if he is not responding to any commands at the moment, like some owners.

Living.ai has already been informed and at the moment they are working on finding the problem and fixing it immediately. So we still have to be patient.

“I hope you’ve already contacted living.ai via email and sent a video about your EMO issue.”

I can only wish you Nina and your EMO the very best and hope that it will be solved ASAP.

best regards

Update: Emo’s face is still blank, but support got back to me again. They told me to try out the “Caring for Emo” app. Sadly after I ran the tests, his face was still blank. Good news though, they said I could get a new Emo if the issue couldn’t be solved.

Hello, @SamTQ . . . I have moved your post to this thread for issues like you are having.

I would also advise you to contact Support.

How to Contact Support

Please contact support regarding this issue.

When contacting Living.ai support. It is recommended to create a short video then submit a support ticket. You can do this by either going to the Support Page: (see below).

Fill in all details (provide also your order number info as well) and attach your video (if it’s larger than 30Mb), Be best to upload it to a google drive/drop box or even on YouTube and then send the support team a link to it.

You can also send support an email to the following email address:

service@living.ai

If you have your original EMO Order confirmation email, you can simply just hit reply to that as it contains all your customer contact info along with your order number details as well and then once again provide a detailed description of the problem you have with your EMO and attach your video as well.

The support team should be able to get back to you in a timely fashion. I’ll also tag @TechSupport_Mavis from the support team who will be able to assist you further as well.

My best to you and please advise on how things go.

I need help, we replaced the sd card and reformatted it. I just replaced his entire battery housing i got in the mail today and he still shuts off as soon as he moves away from the home base.

Welcome to the EMO Community Forums, @Xposed79 . . . you will need to contact Living AI at service@living.ai to find out what it is you need to do next.

Be sure to include a link to a video of him shutting off when he moves away from the base.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi there @Kct5 , and Welcome back to the community…

I merged your new topic to this thread which discusses issues or questions about screen.

First, create a short video and upload it to any free video hosting like YouTube or any, and share it with us to see it live in action.

Is your EMO still alive and replying or not? Is he using Home Station or Skateboard?

Did you try to…

  • FORCE SHUTDOWN : Use a paperclip (NOT A NEEDLE) and push carefully for 2 to 3 seconds and then place EMO back on the charger for him to power on.

NOTE!
This is what everyone in the past has called a RESET Button, but it’s not. It is not recommended to do this always unless you have no other options left. As this could potentially cause data corruption to your EMO. (it is the same as you pulling the plug and powering off your Desktop PC while Windows OS is running, it might cause data corruption). So try and avoid doing this unless you have no other options left.

  • POWER OFF: over Emo Pet App if you manage to do that immediately when he is on.

MY OTHER TIPS!

  • Try another house power socket.
  • Try unbinding the Home Station from the EMO Pet App on your mobile device.
  • Disconnecting/Reconnecting the HomeStation into power?
  • You can also try using a different USB-C cable and reconnecting everything once again.

**Good luck! and All other best

Hi there @or.alkalay and welcome to the community

Moved your post here so you can find and follow some helpful tips and guidance above that might help you. BTW…Is your EMO on the latest firmware 2.5.0 update already?

Did you try something like this also?

  • “Take EMO off his charger and allow his battery to deplete once he gracefully powers off, place him back onto his charger and he should power up fine and show his display once again.”
  • “Power him off and back on; this usually resolves the issue.”
  • “Do you have a video you can share? It would be helpful to see it and better understand the problem.”
  • ''Let us know how it goes, monitor your EMO and if it continues to do this, it would be best to record a video and then submit a support ticket or send an email to support to inform them."

And If you’ve already contacted Living.AI about this issue, that’s the best course of action. Now, all you need is patience while waiting for their reply.

In the meantime, click the link below to read and understand the tips that might help resolve the issue:
